Just completed another book in The Darkest Minds series - In The Afterlight by Alexandra Bracken. I had a really difficult time finishing this book. Up until the last third of the book, I really didn't care about the characters, the plot seemed to drag, and there was way too much teen angst. The same words were being used repeatedly too. But the last third reminded me why I cared about these characters and the plot picked up a bit. I'm not sure I would recommend the entire trilogy. 3 stars

Just started (but not continuing) the Serafina trilogy - Serafina and the Black Cloak by Robert Beatty. This book had an interesting concept. However, the word choice was repetitive and for such a compelling story, it was rather boring in the middle. Not interesting enough for me to continue the series. 3 stars

There are tons of Witch World novels and short story collections. Sheesh that woman was prolific. I am currently at Pyramids in the Discworld series. I did read Eric out of order. I will be lucky to finish Lord of Chaos by Robert Jordan and Camber The Heretic and The Quest For Saint Camber by Katherine Kurtz as far as fantasy works go in my challenge. See message 133.
