I know this suggestion came from the group. Really looking forward to seeing some suggestions because I'm stumped!

Out of Time (Rolling stones song)Sleigh Bells in the Snow
Sweet Dreams (Eurythmics - There are a lot of books with this title, so just took the first one. )
Take a Chance on Me (ABBA - There are a lot of books with this title, so just took the first one. )
The Fallen Star (Catch a fallens star.... Dont know if it will work beacause of THE)
Drive Me Crazy (Britney Spears - There was a lot with this title aswell)
One for the Money (Elvis Presley - Blue suede shoes)
Have no idea if any of these books are worth reading. It is quite fun though going through your to-read list and then suddenly think "uhh... That sounds like an ABBA song" and then start to sing it ;-)
I found this listopia that might be of some help:https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/5...
Some of the titles they list are:
I Got You, Babe by Jane Graves
Time After Time by Constance O'Day-Flannery
The Day the Music Died by Ed Gorman
Black Hole Sun by David Macinnis Gill
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/5...Off of this list, I'm reading Valley of the Dolls since I own the book.
Thanks for the link, that was so helpful! I want to read more by Haruki Murakami and seeing Norwegian Wood on that listopia made me really happy.
I ended up going with I Sing the Body Electric! & Other Stories, mostly because I've had the soundtrack to the movie "Fame" stuck in my head lately...
Just yesterday I borrowed a book that is like a Christmas calendar, one short story for each day from the beginning of December till Christmas. (This one has 25 stories, though usually the Christmas calendars have 24 something because we celebrate Christmas on the 24th.) And all the stories have got their inspiration from Christmas carols... So I may have to return this and borrow another book like it but just with a different theme.
Too bad the wording of the prompt restricts it to songs; I think titles of instrumental pieces should be included. That would be things like Tolstoy's "Kreuzer Sonata", a short story that is used as part of the title of a collection; Kreuzer Sonata is the name of a piece by Beethoven (his 9th violin sonata, written around 1804). Interestingly enough, the Tolstoy short story gave its name to yet another musical piece: Czech composer Janacek's first string quartet (1923). A great piece by the way. There are other choices of course: La Symphonie pastorale by André Gide and Radetzkymarsch by Joseph Roth come to mind.
The Look of Love - ABCAlways on My Mind - Elvis Presley
The Way You Look Tonight - Frank Sinatra
From This Moment On - Shania Twain
I Never Promised You a Rose Garden was a book I had planned to read this year but didn't. Apparently it is also the title of a country song.
I am reading The Hour I First Believed - it is a line from Amazing GraceThe same author Wally Lamb wrote:
I Know This Much Is True (a line from True by Spandau Ballet) ; and
She's Come Undone (the title of a song by The Guess Who)
Cate wrote: "Breakfast at Tiffany's would count, right?"
I saw that on the list, but what is the song?

There is an old book I read and loved, but it gets mixed reviews: Love Me Tender by Catherine Texier (oh dear, it is so obscure it barely has a Goodreads listing!!!). Actually, that's a song lyric with a bunch of books, mostly romance obviously ...

Breakfast at Tiffany's by Deep Blue Something.

Nadine wrote: "Thanks! I guess I should've just googled that, huh? "No biggie. I'm certainly guilty of this infraction.
Not to be cherry-picking.... but it says song LYRICS, which I guess means it does not have to be a song TITLE but can also appear just somewhere in a song? (looking for more options hehe)....

Gotta love the 90s! :)
I haven't read them, so I can't speak to their quality, but Ann Aguirre has a romance trilogy with titles from Backstreet Boys songs:I Want It That Way
As Long As You Love Me
The Shape of My Heart
(Don't You) Forget About Me. (There are actually a bunch of books with this title, I just grabbed the first one.)
The Rime of the Ancient Mariner ;-)
The Hate U Give
No One Here Gets Out Alive
It Happened on Love Street
Diamond Dogs, Turquoise Days
Nineteen Eighty-Four
The Return of the Thin White Duke
Life on Mars. (This is poetry, by the current US poet laureate - she makes several Bowie references and other pop culture/sci-fi references in her poems)
Under the Boardwalk

One Hit Wonder in the 90s called Breakfast at Tiffanys From Deep Blue Something
"and I said What about breakfast at Tiffanys, and she said I remember that film and as I recall I think we both kind of liked it! and I said well, that's one thing we got!"
I listened to it a lot...still do
The Remains of the Day is covered in a song for the Tim Burton movie Corpse Bride. Would also work for book with a movie, or ethnicity (Japanese immigrated to the UK).
Mike wrote: "Megan wrote: "The Phantom of the Opera"Quite possibly my favorite Iron Maiden song."
I was going more Andrew Lloyd Webber LOL
This might be difficult if I want to have it in the right language, as well... I have already read one Not Before Sundown (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MT4An...),
another is a dystopia I don't feel like reading On the Beach ("On the Last Beach" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vnu0...)
and the third one I can think of is a classic trilogy Under the North Star, probably over 1500 pages combined. As it happens, the song ("Here, Under the North Star") has now been playing on my mind since yesterday. (The verse was originally from a poem written in 1863.) Swedes can keep their cheery disco pop, we have had it tougher and sing from the heart...
I kind of like this version by a metal band: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCu1Z...
It seems that it is also popular at the function for the officers in reserve when they finish their service: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NG6P6...
Which is a bit funny because the lyrics talk about the soul, feelings, longing, crying etc.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKHwP...
I am going to read God Help the Child by Toni Morrison, a play on the song title and lyrics "God Bless the Child" made famous by Billie Holiday.

I know. I'm a bit of a smartass. :)
"You Don't Have to Say You Love Me," Sherman Alexie"Smoke Gets in Your Eyes," Caitlin Doughty
"Wonder" Emma Donoghue (has nothing to do with the Natalie Merchant song -- I just kept getting that song stuck in my head as I read the book)
All the Single Ladies: Unmarried Women and the Rise of an Independent Nation or All the Single Ladies (Beyonce)The Queen of the Night (Whitney Houston)
Behind Closed Doors (Charlie Rich)
The Ground Beneath Her Feet (U2)
One of Us Is Lying (ABBA)
Beautiful Disaster (Kelly Clarkson)
I'll probably do Smoke Gets in Your Eyes: And Other Lessons from the Crematory since A) I know what song that is and B) It's already in my Audible library.
It's been on my nonfiction TBR forever - Old Man River: The Mississippi River in North American History. I think I wanted to use it for a previous reading challenge, but never got around to it!
