Book 2: Name of a place in title that is also a character - Read A Journey Into Michelangelo's Rome by Angela K. Nickerson. This does have a MPG of art, but, even though it has illustrations, there is a hefty amount of written text, and in the description, explains that it is part biography, part history and also a travel guide. Will come in handy when I finally get to see Rome someday!
The first book is 337 pages and the second is 163 bringing me to exactly 500 pages, thus just meeting the minimum. Phew!
