5.4 - Best Laid Plans
I will replace Fall of Giants with Mrs. Pollifax and the Whirling Dervish. This fits task 10.2 from the Winter Challenge - title contains a word ending in "ing" - WhirlING.
50.1 - Bryony's Task: Let's Start at the Very Beginning
Book 1 - I used task 5.10 from the first challenge, " Read A Novel Where One Or More Character(s) Travel Back In Time." and read A Symphony of Echoes. Characters in the book travel back and forward in time, beginning with a trip back to the time of Jack the Ripper. 289 pages.

Book 3 - I used "SO" (historical fiction) and read Fall of Giants. The book ends in 1924 and was written in 2010, more than 50 years after the events of the book. I read the kindle edition - the MMPB edition has 920 pages. Fall of Giants
289 + 400 + 920 = 1609 pages, exceeding page requirement for the task.

1. Let's start at the very beginning...
The first Seasonal Reading Challenge in this stand-alone group took place in Fall 2009. For this task, read a book that fulfils the requirements of a 5 or 10 point task from that challenge. I did 5.3 In 1492 Columbus Sailed the Ocean Blue. The main character in A Want of Kindness was Queen Anne of Denmark (later England) sailed the ocean many times, but it was seldom blue. It was usually rough and had her very ill.
2. It's a very good place to start...
Read a book that is a) set within 200 miles of the place you were born or b) written by a single author born within 200 miles of the place you were born. I read Exodus, by Deborah Feldmanwho was born in Brooklyn, 78 miles from where I was born in Mount Holly, NJ.
3. When you read you begin with A, B, C, when you sing you begin with do, re, mi... .
SO - a needle pulling thread
Since "a stitch in time saves nine", read a historical fiction novel. I read The Unfaithful Queen: A Novel of Henry VIII's Fifth Wife. This book takes place entirely during Catherine Howard's lifetime, which ended in 1541.

I would like to move Fogged Inn from Task 15.4. Then I would like to replace it so that 15.4 looks like this:
15.4 Laughing and Singing Book 1 – Humor” as a GR genre, I read The Mighty Walzer.

Book 2 -- # 4 in a series, I read Murder Most Frothy, # 4 in the Coffeehouse Mystery Series.

There is no change in score for this substitution.
Then I would like to add:
30.5 Jonquil’s There is No Frigate like a Book
Approved in Message 124 of the help thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Book 1. I do a lot of reading at a local coffeeshop. I read a book with a coffeeshop on the cover, On What Grounds by Cleo Coyle.

Book 2. I have moved Fogged Inn here because its cover depicts a table loaded with food and anyone sitting here would be looking out a window at a peaceful scene. Whether at a coffee shop or diner/restaurant, this is the type of place I like to read.
