McKensie and Lara

Dem sighed softly and shook his head. "Thank you. But really. I didnt mean it really, what I said." He said seriously. "I didnt mean to hurt your feelings or anything."

Liv blinked "oh I'm not crying because of that..." She promised "it's fine, I've been kind of rude..." She held out her hand "truce?"

Dem nodded, looking around awkwardly, not sure what to say about that until she called truce. He smiled than and shook her hand. "Truce." He agreed. "But then why were you crying?"

Mae started to come to and moaned reaching for the baby "Michael?..."
Zach was cooking Mac and cheese for Taylor and him since it was just the two of them. His wing was hurting but he pushed passed it wanting to care for his friend.
Liv was about to snap back that it was none of his business, but they did call a truce "it's been a hard day." She said simply "I lost a patient...I lost my lunch and honestly I'm just tired..." She said with a sad sigh.

Torch smiled, placing the sleeping child in her arms. "Welcome back Mae." He said softly.
Taylor had helped him set up as much as possible, and then just let him cook the meal, waiting and watching. "You ok?" She asked, wanting to make sure he was alright after everything that had been going on.
Dem sighed softly, knowing that he had been part of that problem and he tried to think of what to say in response. He couldn't really help with the patient, or the rest that she needed really... but he could do one thing. "Would it help if I bought you another burger?"

Mae cuddled Michael and kissed his forehead "oh he's so beautiful...so perfect..."
Zach nodded pouring the noodles into the bowls and searching through the drawers for clean utencils. He smiled over at her "I should be asking you that..."
Liv blinked and was going to respond when her pager went off. She sighed "how about dinner tonight? I have to go...but that would be great."

Torch smiled, kissing her forehead. "Yes. He is." He agreed, squeezing her hand. "You did wonderfully Mae. We all survived."
Taylor nodded, sighing softly. "I'm fine. Don't worry." She promised, helping him get out bowls for them both.
Dem nodded. "Alright. I'll be here." He said, shrugging. Once she had left, he let himself finally smile a little.

Zach served them and sat down beginning to eat "do you ever feel forgotten?"
James raised s brow "is that s smile?"

Taylor swallowrd her bite of macaroni and nodded a little, watching her fork as she twirled it in the pasta. "All the time."
Dem had to surpress a smile as he walked back and shook his head. "No its not. Just a relieved face."

Zach frowned and pecked her cheek "if it helps...Ill never forget you..."
James snorted "right. What happened?"

Taylor brightened and nodded, hugging him briefly. "Yes. It does help." She said, smiling then.
Dem sat down beside him, leaning back in his chair and just huffing. "I'm taking her to dinner tonight... which I mean... isn't the most amazing thing to happen.... I'll have to pay for it... and actually shower... and..." He kept listing things to keep himself from smiling.

Zach nudged her and grinned "I feel forgotten too, I think it's a middle child thing...but you know your parents and siblings love you!"
James smirked not going to give his friend grief however much he wanted to "you need to shower badly anyways, plus you've got that nice shirt you have never worn...and she won't be in scrubs. My gosh I think it's Dem's first date!

Taylor nodded. "Yeah. They love me. They just don't notice me. It's always about Ash and Dem. Even they forget I exist!" She sighed. "It was always Dem and I... and now..." She bit her lip.
Dem rolled his eyes. "Don't call it that." He said seriously. "It is not a date. I'm just buying her the food I ruined this morning." He said, shrugging a little.

Zach frowned "you think that because you felt this way it hurt Ash?" He was assuming but that's what it sounded like she was going with it.
James smirked "you know this place is closed, you'll have to go to a restaurant and eat together...without yelling at each other."

Taylor was about to answer him when Torch flew in and started talking, so she smiled weakly and headed for the stairs. "I'll be in my room if you need me." She whispered, waking away.
Dem rolled his eyes, crossing his arms. "Still not a date. And she most definitely will yell at me." He said, huffing.

Mark woke up and smiled at little Vallee in her bassinet "hi angel...good morning..." He played with her tiny hands.
James snorted and shook his head "denial is the clincher. I doubt she's a big of bitch as you make her out to be."

Vallee opened her big blue eyes, looking up in curiosity at Mark. A small smile split her features and she tried to catch his finger.
Dem sighed, raking a hand through his hair. "Yeah sure. I guess I'll find out tonight." He took a deep breath. "Where should I take her?" he asked hesitantly.

Mark let her have his finger and smiled as London came in "hi lovely..."
James have him address for a restaurant that also had dancing and live music.

Taylor had shut her door but not locked it, crawling to the end of her bed under the covers and curling into a tight ball.
London smiled and sat beside him on the bed, handing him the plate of toast she had brought earlier. "Eat handsome. I'm sure you're hungry." She said seriously.
Dem smiled. "Thanks. Could you make sure she doesn't think I left or something, while I go have a shower?" He asked hopefully, spreading his wings as he headed to earth again.

Mark eagerly ate the toast and nodded his thanks "Vallee smiled at me!"
James went back to Emily and Lexi "Dem will be going on his first date!"

Mark eagerly ate the toast and nodded his thanks "Vallee smiled at me!"
James went back to Emily and Lexi "Dem will be going on his first date!"

London's eyes widened a little and she grinned down at the baby. "Whos a big girl?" She cooed, tickling her.
Lexi grinned. "Finally! That boy needs some company."
Emily nodded, hugging James. "Looks like my job to hook him up wasnt too hard...."

Mark smiled and kissed her little tummy "we have the prettiest baby in the world...look at those eyes!"
James raised a brow "what? Why was it your job? I had to practically force him with a headlock to go on this date. They nearly killed each other in the cafeteria."

London smiled proudly. "She's so cute." She agreed, running her fingers over her head. "And she's got peach fuzz! "
Emily laughed then. "Ashlynn asked me to find him a date. But they're that rough starting, huh?"

Mark smiled and nodded "dark beautiful hair...like her mommy..."
James shrugged "they are too much like eachother...and Dem is a stubborn beast...but we'll see."

London flushed, smiling. "And she's got her Daddy's eyes." She kissed his cheek. "One of the reasons I married you." She teased.
Emily smiled. "Then they're perfect together. A match made in heaven."
Dem had had a shower and gotten dressed, but his hair still stuck up everywhich way. Growling at it, he gave up on the comb and flew back down to the hospital.

James nuzzled her nose "Hell darling." He blinked looking at Dem "oh geez, Em can you please make his hair half way normal?"

Emily laughed. "Right. Hell." She looked over at Dem and grinned. "Sure thing." She walked over and smoothed as much as she could down.
Dem looked in a mirror and his jaw dropped. "How did you... I spent an hour on that!"
Emily smirked. "Takes a woman's touch. Now go on. Wouldnt want to keep the doctor waiting."

James nodded and grinned "you look better than ever before!"
Liv walked in, her hair was up in a ponytail with a few strands falling curled. She wore a back less long sleeved lace purple dress that went halfway up her thigh. "Hi...ready to go?"

Dem turned and his eyez widened a little. He was unable to keep his eyes from running over herbefore he swallowed and nodded. "Yeah. Lets go." He agreed, casting a worried glance back at James.

James chuckled internally, Demetri was the toughest guy he knew and he looked like a scared kitten. He gave a thumbs up and looked over at Emily "hope that boy survives."
Liv smiled "so where are we going?"

Emily laughed and hugged James. "Im sure he will." She promised, smiling.
Dem smiled weakly and nodded before turning. He oulldd out the sheet of paper James had given him and said, "here. I've heard its good." He let his wings out and smiled. "Ready to go?"

James kissed her cheek "so I'm glad I found you quickly, no awkward first dates!"
Liv looked at him a little flushed and worried "I've never been...up on earth." She admitted biting her lip.

Emily laughed. "Yes. That's for sure." She grinned, elbowing him playfully. "You were pretty eager."
Dem paused, turning then, his wings folding at his back. "Really?" He realized after he said it, that that response might have been insulting. "ah... what I meant to say was, do you want to go? I can show you it, if you're up for it." He offered, swallowing nervously.

James hugged her "you were too hot! I couldn't help myself...want to get some dinner as well?"
Liv laughed a little putting her hand on his arm reassuring him "no trust that's how I feel, really you save lives, and you can't be with a couple of humans?...I want to go, show me."

Emily smiled, blushing a little. "Well then, handsome. Go on and flatter me then." She said, shaking her head. "I'm down for dinner though."
Dem nodded, smiling then. "Alright. Here we go." He spread his wings again, taking off. He made sure not to get too ahead of her as he lead her up to the portals that would take them to Earth.

James smirked "where shall we go?"
Liv followed him and gasped seeing the blue sky and green grass "wow...it's...wow!"

Emily shrugged. "Why don't you take me someplace down here?" She asked. "I haven't been anywhere but the hospital after all."
Dem grinned. "Cool, isn't it?" He asked, leading her to the restaurant. "And the food here is great too." He swooped down and landed, waiting for her by the door.

James grinned "there's a really good grill, it will wow your mind!"
Liv smiled and hooked her arm with his "it's really nice here..."

Emily smiled eagerly. "Great! Let's go." She said, letting her wings fold out. "I might need a flying lesson..."
Dem nodded, smiling. He got them a table and followed the waiter there. "I'm glad you like it." He said, sitting down across from her.

James smiled and let them spread, he flapped them slowly "follow my lead..."
Liv smiled listening to the music and falling in love, music wasn't in Hell. "So you were born up here?..."

Emily nodded, focusing on his wings and trying to copy the movements with her own. "Man... this is hard..."
Dem shook his head. "Actually, I was born in a hospital in hell, and then grew up here." He explained as the waiter poured them both water.

James lifted her from under and held her close flying them both.
Liv smiled and nodded "your parents seem nice...how was growing up?"

Emily smiled in excitement when they lifted off the ground and she laughed, spreading her arms out. "This is great!"
Dem smiled. "They are nice. Growing up was an adventure. Lots of fun." He leaned back in his seat. "What about you?" He asked. "How was growing up?"

James laughed "keep flapping your wings or they won't get strong..."
Liv blanched and sipped the water "so that guy James, he's your best friend or something?"

Emily nodded, obeying, her wings flapping tentatively. "Am I doing this right?"
Dem noticed how she avoided the question, but he didn't think too much of it. "Yeah." He answered. "He's my best friend." He agreed. "We grew up together."

James smiled "spread out your wing span more...strong flaps!"
Liv smiled "that's nice, his wife seems nice...she's going to get a job at the hospital."

Emily nodded, spreading her wings further, and flapping harder than she was before. "Better?" She asked, a little frustrated at how quickly her wings were growing tired.
Dem nodded. "That's right..." He mused, thinking for a moment. "Does that mean you would be her boss?" He asked as the waiter showed up to take their order.
Liv turned to look at him surprised she quickly dried her eyes "no I'm fine...Im sorry that i tripped and you got my handburger..."
