McKensie and Lara

Emily laughed softly. "I don't know to be honest, but I want to have a boy to be honest."
Den blushed harder, smiling sheepishly. "You a-are too!" He stammered.

James nodded in agreement "that's what I have been hoping as well...do you think you'll need a checkup?"
Liv smiled and nuzzled in his chest and closed her eyes "you're so comfortable."

Emily nodded, sighing softly. "I haven't seen anything abnormal myself, but getting another oppinion is always worth it. I'll book one in the next week or so." She promised.
Dem smiled, very slowly running his hand over her hair gently. "and you're adorable, all curled up like this."

James nodded and kissed her cheek "I'll be there..." He promised "I'm going for job interviews soon."
Liv smiled loving the way his fingers felt "I probably look like a mess..."

Emily brightened then. "That's so exciting! Where are you trying to work?" She asked, interested.
Dem smiled a little, "Well it doesn't seem to be one of your better days... but I wouldn't say you're a mess..."

James shrugged "construction for now, but that might get my foot in the door for engineering."
Liv raised a brow "you like blood and bruises?"

Emily clasped her hands together. "Oh that's wonderful! I hope it goes well. You certainly deserve a job in this field."
Dem's smile grew a little. "No. I like your cute little smile, and your eyes, and your hair... shall I go on?"

James pecked her lips "I love you. When are you going to go work at the hospital?"
Liv flushed burying her face in his chest "Dem..."

Lexi walked home from the park with Damon, her hand in his. "I feel old." She said then, her eyes travelling over the houses they passed.
Emily chewed her lip in thought for a moment. "I'm going to try and get work for the first month of my pregnancy, and then maybe take a break for the last two... and then get back to it as soon as I can."
Dem smiled a little, playing with a strand of her hair. "Yes?" He asked in mock ignorance.

Damon blinked and stopped looking at her "why is that? You certaintly aren't! You arent a grandmother like Mae."
James nodded "sounds like a very well thought out plan...I'll support you whatever you need. The doctor seems nice."
Liv smiled up at him and pecked his lips in response.

Lexi sighed, shrugging. "I've lived through a lot." She said softly, looking around at the trees on the sidewalk rather than at him. "I see the innocence in all our kids, and I don't feel like I have it anymore..." She said honestly.
Emily nodded. "Yes, she does seem nice." She agreed. "I hope she's ok with me joining." She said honestly. "I feel like I'm intruding."
Dem blushed brightly, his smile turning into a slightly silly grin.

Damon took her hand "but you have so much experience...and I love you angel. I don't think you are old..."
James shook his head "I bet they are grateful for your help!"
Liv smiled and snuggled him "you make me get flutters..."

Lexi smiled a little then. "I'm grateful for that Damon." she said honestly, looking up as they neared their house again. "I just... feel older than I guess I expected I would. You know? Ah... I don't know if I'm making any sense at all."
Emily smiled softly. "Thank you handsome." She said, running her hand over her stomach. "I do hope you are right."
Dem smiled and kissed her forehead gently. "And you do the same to me." He whispered.

Damon nodded "we are going through a transition, as a demon you just get used to it...life passes you by."
James nuzzled her small bump "I can't believe we are having s baby..."
Liv closed her eyes feeling so safe and warm "I'm going to sleep..."

Lexi nodded in understanding. "I figured. And I suppose I'll get used to it in time." She smiled over at him and pushed the door open. Her smiled grew a little nostalgic, "I feel like I haven't been home in ages..." She whispered.
Emily laughed softly. "I couldn't either. I'm just surprised you didn't hear me squeak in the bathroom this morning." She said, squeezing his hand. "I do hope I'll be a good parent..."
Dem nodded. "Sweet dreams." He whispered, not moving. He would stay with her as she rested. He felt a sense of duty to protect her, as he did with his sisters.

Mark sighed nuzzling her and pecking her neck "they think I ran away from home, I broke my mother's heart...I once spied on them and my room was locked and untouched...like a shrine." It hurt to think about, he wanted to share his family and introduce his amazing wife but what would he say?
Damon smiled and lifted her up spinning her around before setting her down "welcome home my love..." He whispered in her ear tenderly kissing below it. It did feel like a very long time since they were just together, the kids were a good distraction...and his death, well that certaintly chipped off a few pieces. But now, they could focus on what mattered again...their love.
James ran his hand down her stomach soothingly imagining a little baby curled up asleep inside. It was far more powerful than anything he'd ever experience before. He chuckled lightly "I think I was making breakfast when you were in the lavatory...I'm surprised it took you all day to tell me!"

London bit her lip, feeling her heart constrict with pain for him. "I'm so sorry..." she whispered, kissing his cheek, hoping somehow that she could make it better. She hated that it pained him, that anything at all pained him. "Would it be a bad idea to visit?" She asked softly.
Lexi laughed in delight when he spun her around and kissed her gently. She hugged him, her smile never lessening. He could make her feel young and free and alive again in moments like this. "I'm so happy to be here again." She whispered, pulling back just enough that she could look up at him. "I've missed this... missed you."
Emily smiled a little shyly. "I'm sorry. It took quite a while for me to come to grips with the news myself." She said honestly. "And..." She sighed. "I wasn't sure if you'd be frustrated, since we had agreed to wait..." she said honestly, her eyes closing.

Damon nodded and cupped her face "I need you Lex...let me show you...it's been so long." He said almost in a whisper caressing her soft skin lightly with his thumb.
James tilted her chin to kiss her deeply "I could never be frustrated with amazing news like this...I only agreed to help you, I'm all for kids...I promise."

Lexi felt the heat creeping into her cheeks and she nodded slowly, her smile growing. She pulled herself closer again, her kiss sweet as she wrapped her arms around him.
Emily melted then, the tension in her shoulders disappearing. "Well that is a relief." She said honestly. "I'm sorry for doubting... it was just all so strange and new. I knew I was afraid, and I didn't know how you would handle it..." She said honestly, looking up again. "I'm so very glad you're pleased."

Damon picked her up under the knees and quickly led her upstairs to their room and kicked the door closed.
James shook his head "don't be sorry...I understand it is very new and I'm glad that I know..."

Lexi looked around their room, smiling softly. "Haven't been here in forever either..." She shook her head. "Man this is bad. You and I need to hang out more often. Just relax" she said seriously.
Emily nodded then. "Alright. Thank you." She stood and stretched. "Shall we head back? I'm a little hungry." She said honestly.

Damon held her close and nuzzled her carefully "I agree...but we still have Ashlynn and Taylor to care for..but I feel closer to you when we are parenting...but now it's Just us."
James nodded and picked her up flying to their home and getting a frozen pizza in the oven.

Lexi smiled, closing her eyes. "Yes. Two little girls who are still growing up." She agreed. She reached up a hand to gently run through a bit of his hair. "You don't know how much I've missed you these past weeks..." She said honestly.
Emily sat on the couch and waited as he got out frozen pizza. "Thank you James." She said seriously. "You are so sweet."

Damon nuzzled her and kissed her palm slowly "I missed you too...I can't believe I put our family through that. Dem especially..."
James smiled up at her "do you want quite heating pad for your stomach?"

Lexi nodded chewing on her lip. "It was rough that's for sure. But let's not think about that now." She suggested, kissing him gently. "I'd rather it stays in the past."
Emily nodded eagerly. "That would be amazing. How did you know I wanted that?" She asked, smiling

Ashlynn was lonely, Demetri never came back and her parents were gone. She played with her IV and lay back in the pillow wishing she had a friend.
Damon nodded and kissed her forehead trying to calm them both down "let's just stay present...close your eyes and experience my love for you..."
James chuckled "London liked it, so I assumed that you would l d as well...I'm going to need a lot of training to help you the best that I can."
Liv woke up panicked that Dem wasn't there, was it just a desperate hallucination? "Demetri?!"

Jude had been wandering the halls of the hospital, pulling his IV on a pole along behind him and peeking into each room as he went. He saw a girl in bed and smiled. "Hi!" He said cheerfully. "I'm Jude. What's your name?"
Lexi smiled a little nervously and slowly shut her eyes. She opened one for a second, unable to not peek at least once, and then grinned and closed them again.
Emily smiled softly. "I haven't seen your sister in ages. Maybe she could come give me some pointers about childbirth, and Mark could talk to you about being a good father?" She suggested. "I'm sure we both need tips."
Dem poked his head in the door, worry showing in his features. "Yes?" he asked, strolling over to her again and taking her hand. "Are you ok? Is everything alright? I can't even leave to get a snack can I?" he asked, shaking his head.

Ashlynn looked up and grinned seeing a boy her age, he was small and pale but cute with freckles "hi! I'm Ashlynn! I thought I was the only kid here!"
James nodded in agreement "books can't tell us everything...it would be nice to get some firsthand experience..."
Liv sighed and hugged him tight "I'm sorry...I just thought it was all a hallucination..."

Jude grinned and shook his head, scampering over to her bed, his pole wheeling behind him as he climbed on. "Of course not! I thought I was the only one here for a long time, but now you showed up!" He smiled and looked over at her, pointing at his own head. "Nasty bump you got there..."
Emily nodded in agreement, closing her eyes slowly. She sighed. "James... this is ok right? We'll be able to handle a child?" She asked, worried.
Dem smiled assuring. "I'm here, it's not a hallucination." he promised, hugging her back so she could feel it and know it was real. "Are you ok now?"

Ashlynn giggled quietly, he was funny and so full of life! "Yeah, I had brain surgery...what's wrong with you?"
James came over and held her close "we can handle anything my love...this is a joyous thing! It's perfect and I couldn't be more excited."
Liv sighed and nodded "I used to be strong...lick my wounds and carry on. But now I'm scared of everything! I make myself vulnerable and it's like the universe is just waiting to ruin it..."

Jude smiled. "Brain surgery? What did you do to need that? Fall off a cliff and hit your head or something?" a slight flash of pain shot across his eyes when she asked what he had, but he hid it easily. "I'm not as bad as you, don't worry." He dismissed quickly, leaning his chin on his hands. "so tell me why you needed brain surgery!"
Emily nodded, hugging him tight. "I'm sorry... I can't help but worry... I never thought I'd be pregnant this young, or ever at all. I mean I knew it would happen, it was just so distant I never really thought about it."
Dem sighed softly, hugging her a little tighter. "I know how that feels." He said softly. "I'm here though ok? We can be strong together." He said, smiling.

Ashlynn caught the look instantly, she wanted to search his mind for the answer but the headache wouldn't allow her to. "I had a stroke.. a brain bleed, Dr. Liv fixed me...my brother Dem got me here in time.
James nodded in understanding rubbing her back soothingly "you will be a great mother...our little guy is so lucky to have us as parents!"
Liv nodded and pecked his cheek "thank you...I don't think I could do this without you...you complete me in ways I never thought I needed."

Jude raised an eyebrow, crossing his legs on the bed. "Sounds intense!" He said, smiling a little. "You're lucky to have a nice sibling like that." he mused. "It be nice to meet them. I'd like to meet everybody. Gets a little lonely here after a while."
Emily smiled, leaning her head on his shoulder. "You know how to make me feel better." She commented, "So thank you. I'm not quite so nervous with you around."
Dem smiled a little, blushing when she kissed his cheek. "and vice versa." He whispered. It was true. He had thought he didn't need anyone, but now... she helped him get through what he could not before.

Ashlynn nodded and smiled "I have a sister as well. She doesn't visit though..." she didn't know how much that hurt until she said it out loud. Taylor was her best friend...why wouldn't she come? "Do you have any family?"
James pecked her temple and nodded "you are a lot more calm and in control now...maybe the baby is helping?"
Liv smiled glad that she could help him, the way he helped her "are you feeling better?"

Jude nodded slowly and sighed. "I know how that is." He fiddled with the medical bracelet on his wrist. "I used to have a family... they stopped coming when I was diagnosed. Hurt them too much I suppose." he said softly.
Emily thought about that for a moment, nodding slowly. "I never thought about it that way..." she said, looking up at him. "Do you think so?"
Dem laughed softly, tucking her bangs behind one ear. "Am I feeling better? I should be asking you that question. You're the one in the hospital missy."

Ashlynn frowned taking his hand "I won't leave ok?...even if I get to go home...everyone needs support and love, especially when you are sick..."
James shrugged "it's just a thought, I dont think I want to test it out just in case." He teased and nudged her.
Liv smiled "I'm not the one that was depressed and hurt though..."

Jude shook his head and pulled his hand away slowly. "No. You'll go home. You can't stay here forever." he said seriously. It was not a judgement, just a fact in his eyes. "I'm not ever leaving here. Not until I die." He said softly, looking down at the bedsheets. His smile had disappeared.
Emily smiled brightly and shook her head. "No of course not." She kissed his cheek. "Now are you going to get me that hotwater bottle or what?" She teased.
Dem sighed softly, nodding in acceptance. "Yeah. I'm ok now." He assured, hoping it was true. He didn't feel depressed anymore, but he wasn't really thinking about it either.

Ashlynn frowned, he obviously didn't want pity but she wasn't going to abandon him either! "I'm not leaving you...so stop arguing or trying to seem tough." She said I d seriously "what were you diagnosed with?"
James slapped his forehead completely forgetting. He got a rice bag out and put it in the microwave for 2 minutes before heading back to her.
Liv smiled cupping his face "the light is back in your eyes again..."

Jude shook his head, not believing that she would actually stay, "You don't want to stay around a dying boy, my family didn't." He said, still not looking at her. He hadn't meant to tell her what was wrong with him. It made people sad, and he tried to be as happy as he could. "They don't know. But no one can heal me." He said softly. "They say its like a cancer for demons, and I'm not going to live past my fifteenth year." He said honestly, not going to lie to her.
Emily smiled at him when he came back over. "Thanks honey." She said, seriously. "I think I really needed one of those."
Dem smiled, pecking her lips quickly. "Is it? I guess that's good then." He said, smiling.

James nodded and started to rub her lower back "just tell me what you need or want. I can't read your mind unfortunately."
Liv held the kiss making it deep this time trying to express her love without saying it.

Emily laughed softly. "Yes I know. Right now I just need you here." She said honestly. Her hand found her stomach and she sighed. "All this is so new..."
Dem melted a little and he kissed her back, his hand coming up to cup her cheek. I love you. He thought.

James smiled and blinked feeling the baby move "wow..."
Liv wrapped her arms around his neck leaning into the kiss more.

Emily smiled a little. "Cool, isn't it?" She asked, looking down at her stomach. "Our kid is in there..." She whispered, leaning into him.
Dem kept up the kiss, enjoying it thoroughly. But then he had a thought, and he pulled away slightly. "We're in a hospital..." He whispered

James snuggled her up in a blanket and kissed her head "I love you..."
Liv flushed and giggled "sorry you are just...good at this!"

Emily leaned into him, closing her eyes and sighing happily. "Love you too honey." She whispered, yawning a little.
Dem smiled shyly. "You are too my dear." He said softly. "We can continue when you are feeling better." He offered, rubbing his thumb over the back of her hand that he held.

James picked her up and tucked her into the bed kissing her forehead "rest darling...I need to get a project done but you just rest."
Liv nuzzled in his chest "I'm feeling much better...only a few things hurt still..."

Emily nodded, sighing tiredly. "Alright. If you insist." She said, smiling a little. "Good luck on your project. I'd like to see what you're working on some time."
Dem nodded, relaxing a little. His arms hung loosely around her shoulders. "That's good. Maybe you can get released soon then."
James nodded and kissed her stomach "what do you think it will be? Doesn't the mom always know?"
Liv smiled over at him "you're cute...
