Ashlynn grinned and hugged him "my first friend! So do you know Dr.Liv?"James went back to the blue prints, he was designing their dream house. It was going to be amazing.
Liv smiled "I like all of them...I like taking care of people. Like your sister."
Jude smiled, leaning back beside her. "Of course." He agreed. "She's super nice. She's in charge of our wing you know. But I suppose you wouldn't know that because you haven't been here very long..." He mused. Then he nodded. "She's nice."A couple hours later, Emily woke and groaned, feeling lightheaded and very sick to her stomach.
Dem nodded, leaning his head back against the boards. "I should probably visit her again soon. And my other sister, Taylor." He looked down at her. "But I'm sure all your patients love you too."
Ashlynn giggled "I think she's dating my brother...which is weird aside from awesome!"James looked up "hey pretty girl...you ok?"
Liv pecked his lips "I wish you could be my patient...it'd be fun to play doctor."
Jude nodded in understanding. "She's nice, but it might be weird having her for a sister." he said honestly. "Would you want her for a sister in law?"Emily shook her head, rolling off the bed and onto her feet. "No!" She moaned, running from the room. She was unsteady on her feet as she stumbled towards the bathroom.
Dem chuckled. "I'd be willing to be your patient." He said, kissing her back briefly. "but I don't really like hospitals much to be honest."
Ashlynn shook her head "No! They can't get married! He'd leave..." She said scared "he's the only one that takes care of our family."James quickly pulled her hair back before she reached the toilet "oh love..."
Liv shook her head "no one does...but you need to go see your sister's I bet they miss you."
Jude sighed softly. "What about your parents?" He asked gently. "He'll probably get married eventually. Most demons do." he pointed out. Emily lost her supper in the toilet and leaned against the seat when she was done, crying softly.
Dem nodded, worried. "But... I can't leave you..." he said, remembering how she had panicked when he had only left for a moment.
Ashlynn sighed "my parents have too much drama to worry about, Demnever wanted a girl...He won't get married, I'm his girl!"James frowned his face in anguish "can I do anything?" He hated to see her miserable.
Liv nodded "you can...just come back please. I panicked before because I was scared you left me..."
Jude nodded solemnly. "I see." He said, not wanting to get her worked up. "I guess you two are really close."Emily shook her head weakly, flushing the toilet. "I don't think there is anything we can do about it." She mumbled miserably.
Dem nodded, kissing her forehead. "Then I'll be back before you know I felt." He promised, standing."are you sure you'll be alright?"
Ashlynn nodded "our parents nearly left us with him. He was going to raise us and the house...I'm glad that Dem found someone.James sighed and held her close "maybe an anti-acid?"
Liv nodded and smiled "ill be fine...these drug are going to knock me out again anyways."
Jude's eyes widened, "You're parents left you?" He swallowed, shaking his head. Maybe this girl did understand him a little better than most. "I'm glad he found someone then too."Emily nodded weakly, shutting her eyes tight. "That might be a good idea." She agreed, sighing.
Dem nodded. "I'll be right back." He promised, taking flight down into the hospital in hell. When he showed up in Ashlynns room, Jude quickly scurried out, running back to his own room. Dem didn't really pay attention to him, he just walked to Ashlynn and kissed her forehead. "Hey baby girl."
Ashlynn frowned as Jude left, she smiled up at him "hi. You look better!" Her brother was so depressed before.James got up and searched the medicine cabinet for the bottle and handed it to her.
Dem laughed softly. "So do you." He said, looking down at her. "Sorry for leaving, Dr. Liv got hit by a car." He explained. Emily sighed in relief and took some, leaning back into him. "Thank you." She whispered softly, sighing.
Liv gasped and covered her mouth "how? There are no cars in Hell. I seized again...my friend saved me, he's my new best friend."James kissed her cheek and lifted her up on his lap "I love you...let's get you in a hot bath."
Dem shook his head. "She came up to earth." He said, then he smiled softly. "You made a new friend? That's great! Tell me all about them." He urged, sitting beside her. Emily nodded weakly. "That sounds like a great idea." She agreed, glad she had him to take care of her.
Ashlynn sighed "his name is Jude, and he's cute and his smile is gfeat...but he's dying he's not going to live past 15..."James got the bubble bath ready and slipped her clothes off helping her in "better?"
Dem's eyebrows raised when she said 'his name'. She made a male friend? He could feel himself growing extremely protective. And then she said he was dying. Well that made things worse. He didn't want her to be hurt by this, losing a friend so young. "Ashlynn, maybe its better not to get too close with him then, if he's just going to die...." He said, feeling a little guilty for saying that, but he wanted to protect his sister. Emily sighed and relaxed when the water soothed her stomach. "Yes, much. Thankyou darling." She whispered, smiling at him.
Ashlynn looked at him scared and shook her head "no! I promised that I'd never leave him, his family already has."James massaged her shoulders and kissed her neck "good girl..."
Dem sighed softly. The hospital really could be a depressing place. "Just don't get too attached Ash, ok? I don't want you getting hurt when he dies."Emily relaxed, sighing softly in contentement. He sure knew how to make her feel better... "You're an angel." She shook her head. "Ok, not literally, but seriously, that feels so good."
Ash shook her head and hugged Dem, she already knew when Jude died she would. "Thats why I am going to cure him! With your girlfriends help that is."James chuckled "good, I'm glad that I can make my girl comfortable...do you want anything to eat?"
Den swallowed slowly. Ashlynn was already attached, he could see that. "Oh ash... Are you sure this is a good idea?" He asked softly, worried about her.Emily smiled brightly, closing her eyes." I like the sound of that, your girl." She smiled at him. "I think I'm good without food for a while longer. I don't want to throw up again." She said honestly.
Ashlynn nodded "I...could have died, I couldn't have done it without my family...and he has no one but me, but that doesn't stop him from being happy!"James nodded and rubbed her belly "hello little guy..."
Dem sighed softly. "Sounds like one heck of a kid." He said, squeezing her hand. "But Ashlynn, if the demon doctors say there is nothing that can be done..."Emily smiled, looking down at her stomach as the baby kicked against James's hand. "They know you." She whispered.
Ashlynn frowned "I will figure it out Dem, I want to be a doctor one day...so I should never give up on a patient."JAmes grinned "what if it's a girl?"
Dem sighed softly, nodding. "You always were stubborn little mouse." He said, hugging her. "Just be careful for me, ok?"Emily laughed softly. "If its a girl, then I suppose we will have to think up some girl names." She said, shaking her head. "But I have a feeling the little tyke is a boy. That being said, I have been wrong before."
London had put Vallee down for a nap again, and was sitting in the living room, watching TV she wasn't aware of how nervously she was chewing all her nails off, thinking of the intruder that was a puddle in the baby's room.
Lexi looked over at Dem and smiled softly. "Good morning sleepy head." she whispered, kissing his nose. "You'll be happy to know that you got what you wanted. Child number four is on the way."
"I need to get a job." Torch muttered badmannerdly. "The angel killing stuff really isn't happening right now, so the counsel has stopped my income. I can't support us on no income." He said, frustrated.
Ashlynn nuzzled him and smiled "are you happy with Liv?...are you going to marry her?"James nuzzled her stomach "what about boy names?"
Mark carefully got up and smiled "hey you ok?"
Damon grinned and kissed her deeply "go tell Tay!"
Michael started to cry from the frustration of his dad. "torch!"
Dem smiled sheepishly. "I like her a lot Ash..." He said honestly. "But... I don't know about marriage yet, I don't know if she'd say yes..." He said honestly. Emily nodded. "I guess we should start thinking about those." She agreed. "I like a lot of boy names. Like yours of course, and Chase, Jake, Grahm, Brennan..." She started listing.
London looked up and sighed softly, glad it was him, and not some murderer. "Yeah... just nervous I suppose. I almost lost both of you today."
Lexi nodded, getting out of bed. She went to find Taylor, telling her the news. Taylor squealed and hugged her mother, thrilled. "Thank you Mom." Lexi nodded. "Go on then. Go play." She urged. "I believe Zach has been waiting to see you." Taylor nodded eagerly and ran to find Zach.
Lexi smiled and returned to Damon, laying beside him again. "I think she's pleased." she said, laughing. "I don't know how you talking me into this again."
Torch sighed and flopped back in his chair. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." He shook his head, running a hand through his hair. "I'm just not getting any better at this. My family is growing up and I'm still just as stupid as the teenaged boy I've always been."
Ash tilted her head "does she act like she wouLd? I don't know about that stuff but...I want you happy, which in turn gets you off my case." She teased grinning at him innocently.James smiled leaning his head against her shoulder "I like Chase...it's question strong name that he won't dislike when hes older."
Mark pecked her cheek and sat by her side "everything is fine...it was just some fluke thing...ill protect you."
Zach was eating, listening to his parents fight and of course being ignored. He read the ingrediants on the cereal box over and over trying to distract himself.
Damon chuckled and held her close "because I wasn't a part of the last one...and I want a boy."
Mae sighed "I'm not throwing you a pity party. So stop. You aren't stupid and you aren't a teenager, you've been through far too much to start this old record."
Den laughed, shaking his head. "I don't mnow... Maybe.... But I don't want to get off your case. I love you, you know that right?"Emily nodded in agreement. "Chase it is then." She agreed, kissing his cheek. "It's a cute name."
London side, leaning her head on his shoulder. "But you almost died, you can't save me when you're dead!" She sighed heavily. "I just.... You scared me today, almost dying."
Taylor went to the Miltons house and found Zachary, seeing immediately that something was wrong. "Zach, what's wrong?" She asked hesitantly.
Torch sighed, shaking his head. "Agk I know. I just feel useless. My kids are achieving things and I've still done nothing. I feel like I've got no purpose." He huffed.
Ashlynn smiled and nodded "of course I know that! But give some of that intense awesome protective love to Liv!"James smiled and kissed her shoulder "he has a cute mom...you comfortable or do you want to get out?"
Mark sighed and looked down at her taking her hand and stroking it softly "I'm sorry love, it was a freak occurance...I'll defend myself better."
Zach hitched his thumb back to the bedroom where you could still hear them fighting as he munched on his cereal.
Mae took deep breaths so she wouldn't lose it on him, "what do you want to do with your life?"
Den laughed softly, shaking his head. "Ok ok I'll give some of it to her, happy?" He asked, smiling.Emily blushed, "I think I'm ready to get out again." She said, smiling up at him. "Help me up?" She asked hopefully.
London nodded, sighing softly. She leaned her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. "I trust you mark, I just worry about you." She said honestly. She was scared of losing him.
Taylor sighed and walked over, hugging him gently. She knew it was rough when parents fought, so she just hoped she was helping by being there.
Torch huffed, shaking his head. "I don't know! I don't know that's my problem!" He cried, shaking his head. "I'm sorry I just don't know."
Ash giggled and nodded "good, how's mom and dad?...Taylor hasn't come to see me..." She said sadly sighing with a shrug of her shoulders.James nodded and carefully helped her out and wrapped her up in a fluffy towel. He rubbed her arms trying to keep her warm.
Mark nudged his nose against hers "what could I do to ease that fear?"
Zach hugged her back and sighed "let's go do something, they won't even notice I'm gone."
Mae pecked his head " stop saying I don't know...it shuts down your brain to ideas."
Dem sighed softly. "I haven't seen Taylor recently." he said honestly. "I don't know where she is but Mom and Dad are doing well." He said, smiling.Emily snuggled into the towel and smiled at him. "You really are very sweet, you know that?" She asked, smiling.
London's eyes opened and she sucked her tongue for a moment. "Lets just do something together so I forget?" She asked hopefully.
Taylor nodded, eager to help him out. "Sure. I up for anything." she agreed, standing. "What would you like to go do?" She asked, curious.
Lexi nodded slowly, remembering. "Right... I guess you weren't around for Ashlynn." She agreed.
Torch smiled a little then. "Well then what opens up my brain for ideas?" He asked, curious.
Ashlynn sighed "she doesn't care...I thought we were best friends."James helped her into her pjs and kissed down her neck "don't tell anyone..."
Mark smiled and pinned her to the couch and kissed her deeply.
Zach shrugged "I don't know what to do, what's going on in town?"
Damon shook his head and pecked her cheek "I'm all in right now."
Mae shrugged "what are you passionate about?"
Dem shook his head. "I'm sure it's not that." he said gently. "She'll turn up sometime, I hope." he sighed. He really didn't know where his sister was, and it bothered him. Emily laughed softly, shaking her head. "Have a reputation to uphold?" She asked, raising an eyebrow as her eyes closed.
London closed her eyes and hugged him close, kissing him back.
Taylor thought for a moment. "Well. Not much on the demon side of things. Both my siblings are in hospitals, and my parents are here. But there is still a ton of things to do. We could go to the mall, or the skate park..."
Lexi nodded, hugging him. "I know you are. And I really appreciate it." She said seriously. "That one time without you was hard."
Torch thought for a moment. "You. And my family. And..." He sighed. "I don't think I have a talent Mae. Unless you count burning things to the ground and healing people. But I'm not even good at the latter."
Ashlynn looked up and saw Jude "hey! This is my brother that's dating doctor Liv!"James smiled and stroke her waist "I am a demon after all, I could be shunned!" He teased nipping at her earlobe.
Zach grinned and nodded "let's go to the skate park! I could practice some new tricks."
Damon smiled and kissed her tenderly "I wonder how our little Ash is doing?"
Mae sighed and held her head angrily "you are driving me insane! Why can't you find confidence in who you are?!"
Jude crept quietly into the room, smiling shyly. "Hi." He waved a little.Den looked up and smiled. "My name is Dem, it's nice to meet you."
Jude smiled a little brighter. "I'm Jude." He said softly.
Emily laughed softly, shaking her head. "I am a demon too honey, and I think it's perfectly wonderful when you're sweet." She whispered, her eyes closing.
Taylor smiled brightly. "Alright, lots do it, and I'll slide down the ramps." She said, laughing. "Let's go." She took his hand and started to walk out.
Lexi sighed softly, "the poor girl..." She said softly. "It might be a good idea to visit again sometime soon." She mused. "I can't imagine what it would be like to get a stroke at that age."
Ashlynn smiled glad that they had met, she pat the bed so he would sit by her again. "Maybe you should bring b back something nice for Liv?"James rubbed her back soothingly as she lay on his lap "I'm glad you like it..."
Zach grabbed his board and helmet "let's go!"
Damon sighed "our family always has something going on..."
Jude came over and climbed onto her bed, sitting beside her. Dem raised an eyebrow. "Something nice? From a hospital? Like what?" He asked.
"They sell books in the gift shop." Jude piped up.
Emily smiled, loving his touch. It helped her relax and right now she needed that. "Love it darling, not like. I love you." She closed her eyes and sighed in contentment.
Taylor grinned, putting on her shoes before running out with him. "It's not too far away..." she commented, pointing two blocks down.
Lexi nodded, sighing softly. "Yes it seems that we do." She agreed. She kissed his cheek gently. "But we've made it through everything so far."
Torch frowned, his eyes blazing fiery orange for a moment, "Maybe because I don't know who I am!" he shouted. His hands lowered and pain flashed across his features. He shook his head. "I'm sorry Mae... I need to go cool off." he whispered, turning to walk out.
Ashlynn nodded, "and teddy bears and flowers!" She added with a smile "I'm sure she hates being a patient too!"James smiled and kissed her head "I love you so much...and our little guy."
Zach skated there next to Taylor, he grinned at the huge ramp "I'm doing that one today!"
Damon nodded and kissed her neck "because we are strong...and our love is invincible."
Mae hated when he yelled she shrunk like a violet trying to keep Michael calm. Tears brimmed in her eyes threatening to fall.
Dem nodded then. "Alright. I'll get her all of those things and hopefully she likes something." He decided, smiling. "I better head out. Are you ok here Ash?"Emily looked down at her stomach. "He sure is growing at a speedy pace..." She mused, rubbing her hand slowly over the swollen bump.
Taylor looked over at the huge ramp and she swallowed. "Are you sure? it looks dangerous."
Lexi smiled, closing her eyes. "Yes... and we are strongest together." She whispered, hugging him. "I couldn't have made it through all this without you."
Torch walked outside and paced until the orange in his eyes died down again and he held his head in his hands, trying not to kill himself over this again. He walked back in, not looking at Mae. "I'm sorry..." he whispered. "I'm really sorry Mae... I..." He sighed. "I'm sorry."
Ashlynn nodded "I've got Jude! He's going to help me get out of bed today!" She said determinedly with a huge smile on her pale face.James nodded "it takes three months, at most!" He put his hand over hers and stroke with his thumb. "Lets have Loo come over tomorrow to give us tips."
Zach grinned "I'm not scared of anything!"
Damon cradled her close and nodded "you make me a better person."
Mae swallowed and nodded she put Michael in the crib and walked down to the kitchen.
Dem nodded then, kissing her cheek. "Sounds good. Give me a call if you ever need anything, ok?" He said, waving as he went to the gift shop to get gifts for Liv. Jude smiled over at Ashlynn. "He seems nice." He commented.
Taylor rolled her eyes. "No duh. But don't you remember that your wing was just broken recently? I don't want you getting hurt again." She said seriously.
Lexi leaned her head on his chest. "Like wise." she said softly. "I worry though Damon. There's been a lot on the news recently, a lot about extra terrestrials. Demons, angels, even my people are being sighted. They're getting bolder Damon, its a new age and it doesn't look good."
Torch felt sick and he followed her like a lost puppy. "Mae... please... will you forgive me?" he pleaded.
Ashlynn nodded "he's great! People used to think he was kind of a jerk, but they just didn't know the real him. Now let's get me out of this bed!"Zach pecked her cheek "I've got my helmet and knee pads, I'm protected!"
Damon sighed "we'll just have to lay low...till the fad gets old...no flying or public expression of powers."
Mae nodded "of course I forgive you..."
Dem picked up a teddy and a big vase of flowers, as well as a book for her to read, before flying back to her room. "Surprise." He said softly as he walked in, not wanting to wake her if she was resting. Jude smiled, nodding in understanding. "Come on then." He said gently, holding her hand as he helped her to the edge of the bed. "You ready?"
Taylor smiled, huffing. "Alright. I guess I approve." She shook her head, smirking.
Lexi bit her lip. "But what if others don't do that Damon? The humans may learn to hate us... and then what? The world would be against us..."
Torch sighed softly. "Mae... are you ok? What can I do to make this better again?"
Liv looked up from her charts and grinned seeing him "you didn't have to get me anything love!" Ashlynn nodded and slowly let her feet touch the ground holding onto his arm.
Zach grinned "ill teach you how to skate the half pipe!"
Damon sighed "the world does hate us, look how they portray us and the master."
Mae sighed "I just want you happy...I thought everything was fine until you blow up this morning!"
Dem smiled and brought the gifts over, setting the book and flowers on the table by her bed, and tucking the teddy bear beside her. "Yes I did. You need to be pampered." He said, smiling. Jude nodded encouragingly. "There you go..." he said, helping keep her steady. "You ok?" He asked, hoping he wasn't moving things too fast or making her sick or dizzy or tired or anything.
Taylor laughed. "Me? Skate? You've got to be kidding! It would take a miracle to make me that co ordinated."
Lexi sighed softly, nodding. "I suppose you are right. But right now... its more fear than hate. I want our family to be safe Damon. What if they aren't in the next couple years?"
Torch sighed softly, looking down. "I want you to be happy, which is why I'm so stressed a lot of the time..." he said softly. "I just wish I was a better husband, is all."
Liv smiled and snuggled up close to him "you spoil me...how's your sister?"Ash smiled and slowly stood, she stumbled at first and then took her first shaky step.
Zach grinned "I will make it happen." He moved the board down and helped her onto it.
Damon sighed "we just can't worry about that..."
Mae hugged him tight "you are so self conscious...I just want you to be happy about who you are .."
Den smiled, coming to sit beside her. "She's doing well." He said, smiling. "She's made friends with that Jude kid."Jude held onto her the whole while, righting her when she stumbled. "There you go!" He praised.
Taylor wobbled a little uneasily, her eyes wide. "I'm going to fall!" She said, gripping his arms to keep her balance.
Lexi nodded slowly, chewing at her lip. "I'll try not to worry." She whispered.
Torch sighed softly and nodded, "yeah I am. And I'm trying to be happy."
Liv's smile immediately turned into a frown "oh...does she know he's?..."Ashlynn grinned excited and took another shaking step. She held onto him tight when she though she was going to fall.
Zach chuckled "you aren't, just relax! I've got you..." He carefully pulled her making the board start rolling.
Damon nudged her and smiled "where's my smile?"
Mae sighed "one shouldn't try to be happy it should just come!"
Emily rolled her eyes. "I want to see soon!" She complained, and then her eyes closed, and she fell asleep immediately.
Dem laughed softly. "Worry about yourself for a moment will you? I'm sure they'll understand that you can't work until you're healed again.
