McKensie and Lara

Mae sighed and went after London knowing that was between James and Torch. She found her on the roof and carefully sat by her "hey...what's wrong?" She put her arm around her shaking body.
Damon gestured to a small diner and headed over, his charm and looks along with his brothers would coax every young girl to their doom. He grinned at the pretty waitress "hi there, got any room for two strays?"

London leaned into her mother, trembling with fear. "I... I destroyed Dad's study, and I don't know how..." She mumbled. "Is there something wrong with me?" she asked softly.
The waitress smiled, motioning them over to a table. "Of course, pretty boy." She drawled, her accent slightly southern. "Right over here. Can I start you with some drinks?"
Ash, who would normally order beer, decided he would actually get something to keep him awake and sharp tonight, not wanting to miss a minute. "Just a coffee for me, thanks hun." he smiled and leaned back.

Mae shook her head and kissed her dark locks rubbing her back "there is nothing wrong with you...you saved his life, you did what was needed that's usually when powers appear. This is just one of your gifts.." She assured kissing her temple and sighing.
Damon grinned at her, winking at her curvaceous form "I'll take a dr. Pepper darling...don't be gone too long we'll miss you too much!" He flirted leaning back opposite of his brother.

London nodded weakly and hugged her mother tight, biting her lip. "I didn't mean to ruin Dad's study." She said softly. "I was just trying to help." she was a little mortified that she actually had powers that could be used to break things.
The waitress smiled despite herself, obviously enjoying their attention. "Sure thing. Be right back." She said, and scurried off, likely to hide the rose in her cheeks.

Mae nodded "I know baby, he knows that too. If you hadn't...your brother wouldn't be with us anymore you did a really good thing! Ok?...we'll just train these powers so you can be safe!"
Damon chuckled looking at Asher "your catch or mine?" He whispered staring after her like a beast and it's prey. "Not my type...her blood would be too sweet..."

London nodded, feeling a little better. "Ok Mom." She said, hugging her tight. "Thank you."
Ash smiled. "Mine." He said, immediately. "I've always liked something sweet." he said, watching the girl leave. He didn't hesitate in lingering in all the right placing. "Man I'm so happy to have you back."

Mae smiled "I love you my angel...I think we should stay up here, you don't want to get in between your dad and brother..."
Damon chuckled "that makes two of us...I needed to break out of that ridiculous mold she put me in...ugh I just don't know what to do with the twerps...her kids."

London nodded. "Is Dad mad at him?" She asked. "Is James going to be ok?" She asked, a little scared for her brother.
Ash nodded. "Finally." He agreed, smiling slowly at him. He had missed Damon. "You could always just leave em at an orphanage." He suggested, shrugging.

Mae sighed "it's just best to stay out if it, James did something that was certainly against everyone of our rules...it'll be ok honey..."
Damon cringed still feeling love for his kids whether he could admit it or not. "Nah I'll find a good family, Dem is already grown for himself anyways you'd love that kid."

London knew exactly what that meant and she started to cry all over again. "You cant let Dad hurt him!" She sobbed. "He didnt mean any harm!"
Ash sensed that his brother was reluctant to get rid of the kids, but he didnt persue the topic further. "Id love to meet him." He agreed as the waitress came back witht their drinks. He smiled at her before looking at his watch. "Fifteen till that halloween party." He said.

Mae sighed and just held her close "Shhh...London...it'll be ok, you know dad wouldn't cause that much harm. But every action does have a consequence..."
Damon smirked and nodded "better ask her, the lure should start early...plus she's already spotted the bait."

London squeaked and leaped up, runninh inside and to their bedroom. "James?" She asked. "James? Please open up!"
Ash nodded. "Sure thing. Be right back." He promised. He got up and walked to the waitress, holding a quick conversation with her that ended with him kissing her cheek, smirking, and walking back over. "Ok. Lets go. She'll join us when her shift gets out."

James ignored the knocking and London's voice and curled into a tighter ball burying his head too ashamed to face anyone. Fergus flew back to Torch and cheaped worriedly.
Damon chuckled "very good mate. I think it's time we don our costumes then, don't you think?" They stepped out of the diner and to the back where he let his wings spread not quite as grand as they usually were and slipped a simple black mask over his eyes.

London knocked harder, stressed and panicked for her brother. "James! Please." She sobbed, leaning on the door. "Dont shut me out."
Ash nodded, revealing his wings and then shrinking them. "Wings are useless tgis size. I dont see why humans think they are this way." He said, putting on a matching mask. "Lets get going." He headed towards the barn where the dance was being held.

James swallowed "Loo just go..." He whispered not wanting her to pity him. He just wanted to be alone, but he couldn't leave he couldn't be a coward and run away.
Damon chuckled and opened the doors seeing the cliche costume ba, the music was pumping and it was dark, perfect to take them out without no one noticing!

London gulped down a sob and nodded slowly, backing away from the door. She never thought Jamed would actually push her away. She ran down the hall and huddled in a corner, holding her face in her hands.
Ash grinned. "Take two and meet me back here?" He asked, grinning before he disappeared into the crowd. In minutes, he had his arms around a brunette who he was leading outside.

Mark went to her and held her close in his arms kissing her head "shhh...I've got you honey..." He hated how hurt she was and he wished he could help in anyway.
Damon grinned and approached a pretty petite blonde dressed as an angel "hello angel, I think we should go together, you may make a good boy out of me."

London leaned into Mark and shook her head. "James has never done that to me before..." She whimpered. "Did I do something wrong Mark? Why doesn't he want me?" She asked, crying.
The blonde flushed, her innocence matching her costume perfectly. "Is that so." she stammered, smiling softly.

Mark shook his head "he's upset...he got yelled at I wouldn't want to see anybody either...it's nothing you have done it's just male pride..."
Damon led her outside "I think we need some fresh air, and I can see you better in the moonlight..."

Torch sighed. "I can get in without him letting me if needed." He said softly. "Wish me luck." He said, walking down to James's room. "James. Please open the door. We need to talk."
London hugged him tightly. "But... but he always let me in, even if he pushed away everyone else." She said softly, shaking her head. "I just want to make sure he's ok..."
The blonde smiled and giggled softly, following him out like a lamb led to slaughter. In many ways, she was just like Lexi had been: innocent.

Mark looked up and saw Demetri, he was a little miffed that Dem glad the scene and left all the blame to James "he's not coming out of his room..."
Damon led her out to the woods leaning her against this large boulder, he grinned at her and caressed her cheek "your skin is so pure..."

Dem chewed his lip, shaking his head. "I... I suppose I should go apologize. I shouldn't have asked to see the study." He said softly, looking down.
The girl only started to grow a little nervous when Damon lead them out into the forest, where the shadows darkened everything. Her heart thumped heavily when he leaned her back against a boulder, practically pinning her there. She couldn't understand why he might be interested in her skin. "T-thank you?" She stammered. "I think?"

Mark sighed and pat his shoulder "it's just a big mess..." He didn't know what to do to help any of them. He felt pretty useless...
Damon smiled and kissed her neck inhaling her scent, "you smell lovely..." He could feel Asher moving in, it would take another person to make it a clean kill.

Dem nodded slowly, casting a worried glance at London. "Is she ok?" He asked softly.
The blonde smiled at first, until she heard a sort of edge in his voice, something that told her his intentions might not be all that innocent. She squirmed a little awkwardly and tried to move around him. "Maybe we should go back in..."
Asher wiped blood off his lips with the back of his hand and grinned, stepping forwards from the shadows. "Why darling?" he asked. "The party is just starting."

Mark sighed and shook his head "James shunned London out..." He kissed her cheek and nuzzled her.
Damon chuckled "did you save any for me mate?...sharing is caring." He bit into her carotid knowing that was a fetal bite and chuckled "doesn't taste like angel cake..." He said almost mockingly.

London just held him, not responding. She was in denial that James would actually push her away. Her heart hurt worse than it ever had.
Dem sighed. "I'm sorry to hear that." He felt like he had caused This. "I uh. I better go check on Taylor. If James ever shows up, call me. I need to apologize to him." he said softly, before taking off.
Ash nodded. "Of course. There's half left back in those bushes," he said, jabbing his thumb in the direction. He watched as the girl went slack in Damon's arms and he smiled softly. "Pity. I rather like angel cake. But she'll do just fine for now."

Mark nodded and kissed her forehead helping her up and taking her to the guest room so that she could rest.
Zach was playing in the playroom and grinned seeing Dem and reaching for him.
Taylor seemed a little sad, like she knew her daddy didn't want her...
Damon chuckled and split her into pieces "what organs do you want?"

London didn't object, she just curled up on the bed, tears still falling slowly.
Dem smiled and picked up them both, holding one in each arm. He had a hard time not crying when he saw Taylor's expression. "I'm sorry baby girl." he whispered, holding her close. "I'll take care of us. I promise."
Ash didn't have to think before reciting: "Liver, kidneys, heart, if you're willing to give it to me. Brian might be nice."

Taylor buried her face in his neck and Zach started to fly around and walk on the ceiling.
Damon considered "I call heart, you had the other girls heart!" He argued and seperated them out he picked up the lungs and grinned "this is my favorite part!" He blew it up like a ballon and popped it in his mouth.

Dem rubbing his little sister's back, feeling only sorrow. His father and mother had been gone for a week now. He was worried they would never come back.
Ash laughed, shaking his head. "Yup. Back to your regular self." He stated, eating the parts Damon had given him. He took his time with the kidneys, savoring them. Not as sweet as the heart, but still delicious. When he was done, he patted his stomach. "Well. You ready to head back? Or are you still hungry?"

Taylor sniffed "Daddy?...Mama?" She asked sweetly feeling safe in her brother's arms. She missed her baby sister!
Damon was finishing up with the brunette Asher had brought out and nodded "I'm full...how do we want to present the murders?" Part of the excitement was the panic of the town and having a reputation.

Dem winced and shook his head slowly. "I'm sorry Taylor." He said, hugging her tight. "They aren't coming back for us."
Ash shrugged, "Someone is bound to come find us sometime or o-" A shriek stopped him mid sentence. A boy was standing there, staring wide eyed at the two demons and all the blood. He had been looking for his girlfriend, the brunette.
Asher grinned. "I think that will do." he said, flapping his wings to take off.

Mark walked into the playroom and frowned at the somber energy "what's going on? Are you ok?"
Damon saluted the shocked boy and took off with his girlfriend's heart. He high fived Asher and split the heart with him "that was excellent mate!"

Dem looked up and sighed, shrugged. "Yeah. We're ok." He said softly. "Our parents haven't been back in a bit, they might never come back."
Asher grinned, swallowing his half. "Wasn't it? It's so great to have you back." He said, gliding easily over the updrafts towards his house.
Lexi woke up the next morning feeling much better. Today, her first thought was of Mika, and Damon was long gone from her mind. She smiled softly and got dressed, before running downstairs to make breakfast.

Mark frowned "why would they leave you?..." He was sure they had a good relationship, he motioned for Taylor to come to him "let's go get a cookie ok?"
Damon landed and chuckled wiping his face "O negative, a rarity and quite delicious!...I missed this pointless violence and maiming!"
Mika was already finishing cooking breakfast for the master and the hotel. He smiled at her "good morrow, did you sleep well?.."

Dem shook his head. "I don't think they ever liked us much. Dad was always sort of independent, and I have no idea where Mom is. She probably left."
Taylor giggled and flew after Mark, along with Zach who both wanted cookies.
Ash laughed softly. "Well I am thrilled you finally came to your senses." He said seriously, walking inside his house. "Had lots of fun tonight. Do you know where you're going to be living from now own?"
Lexi's eyes widened. "Oh my goodness. Did I really sleep in that late? I'm so sorry!" She said, mortified that she had left her chores to him. "Thanks for making breakfast. I did sleep well, thank you."

Mark frowned "of course they did! They wouldn't have kids otherwise...Taylor is heartbroken which means there was love...lots."
Damon shrugged "somewhere in Hell, I liked those dark pads near the river...nice place to bring babes."
Mika shook his head "it's no big deal! I like to cook, the horses aren't ready to be tended to anyways...maybe later I could teach you my job?"

Dem smiled a little. "Well thank you." He said, following them. "But I'll believe it, when they come back. If they do." He said softly.
Asher nodded. "Sounds good. So now I know where to come visit." He said, smiling softly. "Though, if you are going to get rid of those kids, you should do it sooner than later." He said seriously. "You can't just leave them there. Unless you want to starve them I suppose."
Lexi smiled. "That would be great. I have never ridden a horse before..." She said honestly, fiddling with her hands. Then she helped him serve the breakfast and clean up. "When do the horses need tending?"

Mark sighed "what are you going to do?...try to find a home?"
Damon turned away "shut your trap Ash before I shut it for you! You have no idea what it's like to have a kid, Taylor...she's just a kid...never hurt a fly." He pounded the wall "I need to find her a good home..."
"After breakfast, humans eat then the horses eat. I'll take you on a ride I think you'll enjoy it!" He smiled finishing the dishes and mopping the floor.

London smiled. "He looks rather bedraggled. Doesn't he?"
Dem nodded. "Yes, hopefully. So I can take care of my sister."
"Whoa whoa!" He said, backing up, his hands raised. "I thought you didn't want them!" he protested.
Lexi nodded, excited to do something normal for a change, excited to do something normal, with someone normal. "Great!" She agreed, finishing cleaning before taking off her apron and hanging it up.

Mark nodded "you aren't going to let anyone seperate you right?" He held Taylor and smiled "cute kid..."
Damon groaned "I don't know what I want! I don't want anything to do with that bitty! She'll be a splitting image!" He growled "but it's still my flesh and blood."
Mika grinned and led her to the stables and up to a copper colored beauty "this is Mavis, and she is quite a diva!"

Dem looked horrified. "Of course not!" He said seriously. "I promised I would keep her safe. I would keep the other one with us too, but she hasn't been born yet so..."
Ash nodded, huffing. "Ok. So send them to some family who seems nice and be done with it. You don't want to keep them, so just get it over with." He advised.
Lexi breathed out slowly in awe. "She's gorgeous..." She said, stroking the horse's strong shoulder and velvety nose.

Mark frowned "maybe that's why your parents split?"
Damon took a shot and thought nothing else about it! He sat on the couch and stared at the ceiling "she was such a witch!"
Mika loved how sensitive she was being with her "and she knows it, want to help me brush her down?"

Dem frowned. "What do you mean?" He asked.
Ash sighed. "Lexi?" he asked, clarifying. He walked over to the sofa across from the couch and plopped down on it. "If you hate her so much, why did you hook up in the first place?" he asked casually, curious.
Lexi lit up. "Yes please! I have never been this close to a horse before..." She said, shaking her head. "Loved looking at pictures of them when I was younger though..." She said, smiling softly.

Mark shrugged "maybe your dad didn't want the baby?"
Damon flinched at the name and growled his eyes slotted "I loved her and she treated me like a moldy rag! " he was furious and threw a glass across the room.
Mika smiled and handed her the brush "smooth strokes, go with the muscle of the horse...keep her calm.." He kept his hand over hers and moved with her, they were pressed close.

Dem's eyes narrowed. "He was talking to it, how could he not want it? He acted like he loved it!" He said, furious at his father. "If Dad just left Mom because of that..." He growled.
Ash didn't even react to Damon throwing things. "So you did love her." he observed, picking at his nails. "I guess she did not love you then?"
Lexi nodded, heat surging to her face. She forced herself to look at the horse and not him as she slowly moved the brush over the animal's side. Her mind was only on how close Mika was however, and how warm his hand felt over hers.

Mark put his hand on his arm "something big must have happened! Your dad was not that big of a jerk..."
Damon sighed "he kept leaving...bet she couldn't stand me..." He growled "I feel truly sorry for the spawn that will be born from that uncaring bitty..."
Mika was feeling similar things, he never felt this shiver and heat. He touched her waist and smiled "good...she's calming, you are a natural!"

Dem deflated somewhat, looking down. "I've never felt so much hate for anyone before, and yet I dont know who I should be mad at, my parents, or myself." He said softly.
Ash sighed. "Im sorry mate, that you ended up with a girl like that." He said seriously. Then his eyebrows raised. "She was pregnant?" He asked.
Lexi flushed. "Think so?" She asked, heating up when his hand brushed her waist. It was so warm, comforting... welcome. She smiled shyly, but didnt move away

Mark hugged him "it's not your fault...my parents divorced too, and they always assured me that it wasn't because of me and my siblings..."
Damon sighed "with a vamp...Lexi got turned...she left to England and his out there, I found her and she wouldn't take any accountability!"
Mika nodded and smiled "Horses know when there is a kind and gentle person around..." He put up the brush and grabbed the heavy bag if feed to put in her feed bag "you can give her some sugar cubes!"
Dem didn't like the look on Torch's face. It scared him more than near death did. "I uh... That was close." he breathed. "I need to use the washroom..." he darted away.
Torch moved passed the wreckage, to where there was a small pile of ashes on the floor. "No no no...." He mumbled, searching through the ashes. He finally pulled out a small egg and sighed in relief, pocketing it tenderly. Then he turned to look at James, his eyes flashing. "Just what do you think you were doing in here?" He asked softly.
Ash grinned. "Perfect!" He agreed. "And we wont be needing costumes." He joked, laughing. "Just one girl's fantasy, brother? I'm going for at least three tonight." He said, chuckling. The sun close to setting. "But we better hurry. I want some human food too. And that starts soon."
