McKensie and Lara

James shook his head "I think that is great! You look very intelligent to me! I haven't really decided what I want to do in life...I like architecture!"
Damon sighed and cupped her face and kissed her deeply "does that answer it?...I love you, I never will stop..."

Torch grimaced. "London..."
London sighed and looked down. "Sorry Dad."
Torch watched her for a moment before nodding. Then he huffed. "Put a shirt on Mark. And come see me upstairs." He said, walking back up the stairs again.
Emily smiled, flushing a little. "Well that is definitely a first." Then she raised her eyebrows. "So you're not in University yet?" She asked. "When are you planning on going? Or are you not going to?"
Lexi felt herself melt, and then all her strength she had had to keep the past months came crashing down, and she was crying. Not crying for sadness, or pain, but just because the past little while had been too much emotional stress. "I'm sorry." She mumbled.

James smiled "I'm going to apply, I just moved here! What classes do you think I should take?"
Damon sighed "please just tell me what you want me to say and do...."

Emily smiled. "You should come to my university. It's pretty nice. For architecture you'll want to take all the tech classes, and maths, and probably some engineering." she said. "You'd have to look into the schedule. Architecture isn't really my field."
Lexi hesitantly walked over and found her arms wrapping themselves around him. She shook her head. "Just... just promise no matter what I say or do, you wont let me push you away again." She whispered.

James smiled "I'd love to! Do you live at the dorms?"
Damon kissed her softly "if you want me....I'm not going anywhere..."

Emily nodded. "yeah. I live on campus." She agreed. "It's been great. I have a room mostly to myself. I share a bathroom with another girl." She explained.
Lexi nodded slowly, resting her head on his shoulder. It was a relief to know that he was here for her again. She felt like she was where she belonged. But if they were going to be in a relationship again... she figured it would be better to get the secrets over with, so there was nothing in between them. "I... I was sort of in a relationship for a little while." She admitted softly. "He ended it because he figured out that I am a vamp." She whispered.

Mae came and sat by London, not being oblivious to the situation she sighed "London...you are getting into things that are very complicated..."
James nodded "that's cool, I live in an apartment with my twin sister." Little white lie wouldn't hurt...plus that was his plans right? Right.
Damon sighed and tilted her chin so that she would look at him "I...was intimate with many girls...mostly with an old flame centuries ago...it didn't mean anything though...it didn't feel the same...i wasn't happy after." He tried to explain.

London sighed softly, hugging her shoulders and she looked down. "I didn't think it could be that bad, if you and Dad fell in love..." She bit her lip. "I'm sorry. I didn't think we were doing anything wrong."
Emily grinned. "Twin? Cool! I've never met a twin before." She said, smiling in enthusiasm. "I'd love to meet her. Could I visit your place some time?"
Lexi winced at his words, even though she had guessed that he probably would. It still hurt her to know that he had not been just hers. "It's alright." She said softly, trying to hide her discomfort with that news. "I understand." And she did. She forgave him, she just wished it had not happened.

James nodded "right now it's a mess because we are still moving in and everything but sure! That would be great, I have to warn you she's very protective and may not like you at first..."
Damon sighed and caressed her face and kissed her gently "I'm very sorry...can we go home? The kids have been a wreck and it looks like you and..." He didn't know the babies name.

Emily smiled. "Wonderful." She clasped her hands together. Then she laughed. "Protective? Isn't that sweet. I'm sure we'll get along." She said hopefully.
Lexi leaned into his hand and nodded slowly, her eyes opening once more. "Ashlynn." She filled in. "And yes, lets." She let her wings out once more, scooping Ashlynn into her arms.

Mae sighed "Demon's are very fertile...once you...it is more likely to have a child than not...are you ready for that responsibility?"
James chuckled "I've never really dated before...so she's been my only girl and she doesn't want that to change I guess...though she has a boyfriend..."
Damon flew next to her and wrapped his arm around hers so they could be connected.

London bit her lip, thinking about that for a moment. "I haven't really thought that much about children. I'd rather be bonded to him first." She said softly. "I didn't know it would lead to a child... well I did... but I thought..." She shook her head and sighed. She hadn't really been thinking at all.
Emily nodded in understanding. "I can understand that." She agreed, taking another sip from her drink. "But if she's got a boyfriend, then she should know she's going to have to let go sometime or other..."
Lexi sighed softly, resting her head against him. All those month not being bonded to someone had been lonely. It had broken when they broke it off, and she had felt the emptiness. "I'm sorry for leaving." She finally whispered.

Mae sighed and stroke her daughters hair "I know...it's fun and exciting but just remember that it's never casual...he needs to respect you and it needs to be a bond...alright?"
James chuckled and took another swig "that's what I said! So what do you like to do for fun?"
Damon landed and kissed her softly "I'm sorry I drove you away...and yelled..."

Emily laughed. "Fun. Wow. Depends on how I'm feeling." She shrugged. "Come here most of the time. Other wise I'm studying. My friends seem to only have parties when I get homework..." She shook her head.
Lexi shook her head. "That was my fault too. I made you angry, and I apologize." She said seriously, folding her wings at her back again. "And um... Ashlynn as you know is a vamp. So as long as we keep her bottle filled I don't think there should be any issues. Just thought I'd warn you."

James chuckled "yeah...I'm kind of the same, I can never just unwind and relax...worried about everything and anything!"
Damon hugged her and smiled down at Ashlynn "she's beautiful..."

Emily raised an eyebrow. "You're not in University, so tell me," she leaned her hands on her elbows. "What stresses you out? Because so far you have been the most down to earth person I have ever met." She said seriously.
Lexi smiled softly. "Yes, she is, isn't she?" She asked, kissing his cheek. "She looks more like you than me." she commented.
Dem walked out just then and his eyes widened. "Mom!" He said, running over to them. He hugged her tight, and then backed up, grinning. "I got to go tell Taylor. Be right back!" He called, dashing into the house again.

James blinked trying to think how to say that "I'm an athletic trainer, I work hard with my best friend...I like to fly um planes..."
Damon shook his head "no...she is definitely your daughter her spirit shines through her eyes just like yours!"

Emily's eyes widened. "You fly planes!?" She asked. "Sick! I wish I could fly a plane! Flying would be awesome." She said enthusiastically.
Lexi laughed softly, hugging Ashlynn close. "I suppose we can put her in the nursery now that Taylor's older?"

James grinned a little "I could take you...if you want!" Oh boy...now what was he going to do? He'd figure something out...
Damon nodded "the house is messy...I was going to get started..." He looked up seeing the kids "meet your baby sister!"

Emily nodded. "That would be awesome." She agreed, smiling softly. She couldn't get over how many interests and dreams and talents he had. Here was a man who was very different from the rest of these gambling drunks. And she could feel herself falling.
Dem smiled softly. "Hi little girl." He said, smiling at Ashynn.
There was a shriek from somewhere and then a speedy ball of light sprang at the baby, laughing and giggling. "Hi baby!" Taylor said, all light and laughs.
Lexi smiled. "Well she sure is happy to have another girl in the house..."

James checked his watch "crap my parents are going to kill me...I gotta go Em, but..." He took her hand and wrote his number with a marker "call me, I'd really like to hang out with you again!"
Damon blinked thinking a shooting star was shooting across his house, the china cabinets were shaking and he chuckled "calm thyself Tay!"

Emily's eyebrows raised in surprise, but she nodded rather numbly, just getting a chance to wave slowly with her drawn on hand as James ran out. "See you later!" She called after him.
Taylor held her toes and did a slow flip in the air, still giggling. "Sorry Daddy..." She said, stopping the light flow around her. She smiled at the baby and petted her head gently. "Hi. I'm your new best friend." She whispered.
Dem snorted and shook his head. "Well... I'm going to go finish supper." He said, walking back into the house.

James landed and smiled seeing Torch "I need personal help dad...I met a girl."
Damon followed his son "hey...little green eyes monster coming out?@

Torch smiled. "Oh you do?" He asked. "At the casino then?"
Dem was stirring his pot of meatballs and he looked up, smiling. "I haven't seen my demon form much recently, to be honest." he said softly.

James nodded "but she's nothing like I've ever met...but I said some...white lies...I don't know how to be human..."
Damon chuckled "I meant the jealousy one..."

Torch groaned. "Oh no." He said, shaking his head. "How bad are they? Can you get around them? And is she human then?"
Dem sighed. "Guess its just you and me now." he responded. "All the girls seem quite happy by themselves."

"She's human...I'm supposed to be going to the university for architecture and...fly...a plane." He bit his lip "what am I supposed to do? I really like her!"
Damon hugged him "you are their big brother they look up too! They love you so much and Ash will want to spend every moment with you!"

Torch smiled softly and backed up, going to find Mae. He figured London could take care of this.
Dem hugged him back, sighing. "We'll see." He said, smiling a little. "I'm a whole lot older than them though Dad. I might not be living here for l=much longer..."

Mae was cleaning up the kitchen and smiled when she saw him "are you ok?"
Damon shrugged "I understand that, it doesn't change how much your family loves you." He promised and drained the spaghetti noodles.

Torch walked over and sighed, spiking his hair with one hand. "They're growing up too quickly Mae."
Dem nodded, smiling softly as he added sauce to the meatballs and carried them over to put on the spaghetti.
Lexi had been catching up with Taylor and Ashlynn, and smelling the food, had known it was time to come in. She carried both the girls and smiled at the two boys as she got the table set. Even though Damon and her were back together, she knew it would be a long transition before they were back to the way they had been before.

Mae laughed "well you have one that has...desires and acted upon it and one that is completely smitten...I'd say it has more to do with love than growing up!"
Damon helped Taylor into the highchair and put a portion on her plate "try not to get this everywhere...ok?" He chuckled shaking his head at how hyper his little light was.

Torch shook his head, smiling softly. "Were we ever that naive?" He asked.
Taylor giggled sheepishly trying to appear innocent before she delved into her food.
Lexi sat Ashlynn on her lap, making sure her bottle was filled before getting a bag for herself. She took a portion of the spaghetti as well, just to try it.
Dem made sure everyone else was happy and had food before he took a generous helping and satisfied his stomach.

Mae snorted and shook her head "we were far worse..."
Damon ate not knowing what to talk about with his family, they seemed foreign to him...

Torch grinned, walking over to her and embracing her. "I fear we passed that on to our children." He said, kissing her cheek.
Lexi noticed the silence, and her smile lessened. She knew this would take some getting used to... she was just worried for their family.
Dem ate his food quickly and excused himself to go pack. He had to return to Lucas's before the games to continue training.
Taylor ended up spilling spaghetti sauce everywhere, a good portion all over her face, but her grin never grew any smaller.
Lexi got up from the table when Ashlynn finished her bottle. "I'll be right back." She told Damon, going upstairs to put the baby down for a nap.

Mae grinned and pecked his lips "yep our best and worst qualities!"
Damon shook his head in amusement and started to clean up her face and chair "you need a bath!"

Torch laughed softly. "You bet." He traced his finger over her shoulder blades where her wings were hidden. "I remember when these had feathers..."
Taylor squeaked and giggled. "Bath! Bath!" She shouted.
Lexi gave Ashlynn another bottle and lay her in the crib. She went into her and Damon's room then, looking around and smiling softly. Sipping her supper quickly, she hid the bag in a drawer so no one would have to see it, and cleaned up again.

Mae shivered and smiled over at him "yeah...and you soaked them with blood!"
Damon threw her over his shoulder and shot up the stairs to the bathroom and getting the water started "go put your clothes in the laundry bin!"

Torch chuckled softly. "I did. Didn't I?" His fingers traced upwards to play with her hair. "You did break my nose..."
Taylor ran out of the bathroom and came back stark naked and beaming. She lifted her arms to Damon, asking him to lift her into the bath.
Lexi closed the drawer with the bags in it and left the room again, going downstairs to clean up supper.

Mae smirked "you woke me up in a tree! that more than proves you deserved it!"
Damon shook his head in amusement and dropped her in the tub "you are getting too old for bubble baths!"

Torch laughed, stepping closer so her back was against his chest. "Is that so?" He whispered, kissing the spot where her neck met her shoulder.
Taylor shook her head. "nuh uh." she disagreed, playing with the boats and toys that stuck to the sides of the tub.

Mae shivered "Mmm don't..."
Damon chuckled and splashed her, he took a bucket dumping water down her hair.

Torch smiled, kissing up her neck. "What?" He nipped at her ear. "Afraid you'll like it too much?" He teased.
Taylor giggled, pulling the bucket down over her head. "Spaceman!"

Mae nodded and moaned arching her back "no....dont....can't afford more kids...."
Damon shook his head and took off the bucket "you are not, but you are from space!"

Torch laughed softly. "We can prevent that." He whispered, kissing back down her neck, his hands sliding around to rest on her stomach.
Taylor tipped her head. "Am I adopted?" She asked immediately.

Mae bit her lip "we aren't alone...Torch stop you know I can't...mmm!" She arched close to him panting.
Damon laughed and shook his head "no your mom is from space...you got all of her special genes."

Torch smiled, happy with her reactions. He scooped her into his arms flying them upstairs to their room where he shut the door. "Now we're alone." He said softly, laying her back on the bed. He let his hands run slowly down her arm, and back up again, tracing slow patterns on her.
Taylor smiled. "Cool! Like my lightbulb?" She asked, lighting herself up till she glowed brightly.

Mae shivered and watched him closely "please be delicate I am very fragile..."
Damon shaded his eyes and laughed "just like that!"

Torch kissed her gently. "Mmhm. My little china doll." he said, his hands tangling in her hair.
Taylor turned her light off and frowned softly. "So then why do Mom and baby Ash have pointy teeth and I don't?" She asked.

Mae giggled and kissed him deeply, she wrapped her legs around his back and grinned "don't be loud darling...Loo might get ideas..."
Damon sighed "that's a lot more complicated..."
Torch walked downstairs to hear noises on the couch and he frowned. "What's going on?" He asked, staying where he was in the doorway.
Emily shrugged. "Ok. Um... I'm studying for my bachelors degree in the sciences..." She said, smiling softly. "Yeah I know, I don't look like I could be smart and all that... but... I guess I like learning."
Now it was Lexi's turn to shrink back, taking a couple steps away as her face scrunched up in pain. She looked down, her heart fluttering like the wings of a wounded bird. "Of course I do. I never stopped. And I'm sorry you even have to ask that." She whispered, looking up at him. "My fear of getting into this again, doesn't mean I don't want to try, nor does it mean I don't love you." She took a couple more steps back. "But don't make me the reason you have to stay. If you want to go, that's fine. I understand." There's no reason you should put up with me after everything.
