James grinned "Loo healed my legs! So I'm getting used to walking again, Zach is learning to fly and sleeps A LOT! Plus my sister is now dating Mark..." He shrugged grabbing another piece.Damon went into the kitchen, he would have felt foolish thinking it wasn't her if it wasn't for their bond. He could read her mind and he knew it was her. "Why are you hiding?" He asked quietly.
Dem smiled. "Nice! Now we can play around again." He said, elbowing him playfully. "How old is Zach now?" He asked. Then he shook his head. "So, how do you feel about your sister dating?"Lexi spun from the pot, startled, and her green eyes blinked slowly in the span it took for her to decide. Decide whether or not she should lie to him, or tell him the truth. She knew he would know she was lying, so there was no point really in doing it. She turned back to the pot and kept stirring. "I could ask what you are doing here." She said simply.
James nodded "he's one I think, I don't know same age as your sister." Mark and London had left so he could talk freely "I don't like it, I mean I'm glad she's so happy and he'll protect her...but I'm a third wheel, with everything now! I can't be with Mark without London there or Mark only talking about London! They're a bunch of saps!"Dem looked to the ceiling and slowly blew air out of his mouth "I knew you'd go to a small town...this was the first place we looked...do you have any idea what kind of worry you put me through, I didn't give a care about my health because all I could think about was your tube getting infected, or the baby in trouble! Why do you always leave?!"
Dem nodded somberly and sighed. "I'm sorry about that. Don't worry. I'll always be here for you. I'm never ever going to get into a relationship. Too icky." He shook his head. Lexi cringed and shrank a little like she was trying to disappear into the floor. Her hand faltered in stirring, and then started up again. "I've only left willingly once." She said, without turning. "It was for your own good, and the good of the rest of our family. I am more than capable of caring for our daughter and keeping the tube from causing complications." She said seriously, a slight frown growing on her face, which she kept turned from him. "You may not care about your health, but I do. You don't know what you looked like the day I left."
James nodded in agreement "just causes complications and drama! Better to focus on training and being a demon!"Damon just shook his head "you don't know what it did to me when I found that you had left...if you are so capable of taking care of yourself maybe I should just go home then! Since you seem not to care that I'm a wreck...and will always be a wreck worrying about you!" He lowered his voice not wanting to have the master of the house investigate.
Dem nodded, sighing. "Exactly. Finally someone who understands. Even Dad got a girl, and its so annoying. I mean, Mom's nice and all, and I love her, but the fact that Dad got into a relationship in the first place is beyond me." He said honestly. Lexi felt her heart skip a beat. Were they fighting? Actually fighting? They had never been in a real fight before. She had always thought he would be on her side. Couldn't he see that it was better for all of them for her to stay away for a couple months? Or was he thinking only of himself, and not their family. "I do care about you!" She countered. "That is precisely why I left! For your health! You would be worse off with me there." She said seriously. "It's only for a couple months..." she added.
James chuckled "it's a cool story though! Love is a contagious crappy disease that no matter how hard you try you can't get away!" He made spooky hand gestures to dramatize it.Damon couldn't believe it, he just stared at her his jaw clenched and then relaxed "fine...if you really think that it's what's best...stay here! You didn't even talk to me about it or Dem! If you were really thinking about our family you wouldn't hide, I could still contact you and know that you were safe! But no, you always sneak out like a thief in the night making me sick with worry and having me go on a wild goose chase to find you!" He was so frustrated he couldn't even see straight.
Dem laughed. "Yeah. Except when it comes to me. I'm never going to fall in love. And I sure hope you don't either, for your sake." He said, shaking his head. Lexi tensed, her heart jolting with a burst of pain. Her hand clenched around the spoon she held until it was shaking. "I couldn't talk to you about it because you were sick and dying and I didn't want to wake you!" She snapped. "Why do you think I left the note!? I figured you would find some way to contact me anyways. I didn't think you would fly across the world just because you couldn't handle being alone! And I can't believe you actually think I was running away!" She cried, spinning around finally to face him, her eyes blurry with tears. "How shallow do you really think I am?" She asked, her voice dangerously quiet. She shook her head slowly. "Goodbye Damon. I'll see you in two months, if you can even bear to cast your holy gaze on me by then." She snapped, storming from the room before the tears could fall.
James nodded and shuddered "even Lukas fell in love! With my grandma! Everyone is insane! Yeah you can't breed without a girl but what else are they good for?!"Damon was stunned he felt the dagger ripped from his stomach and plunged back in. He felt angry tears blurring his eyesight and tossed the pot of spaghetti in a rage of clattering metal. He ripped the blanket off of the bed and eyed Torch "we are going back, nothing for us here." He said quietly his bitterness apparent.
Dem sighed exasperatedly, shaking his head. "What is the world coming to?" He asked, huffing. "Girls aren't good for much else." He agreed, leaning his cheek on his fist. "But let's not bother ourselves about it. What would you like to do?"Lexi fled from the house and out into the barn where she sat in the hay and just cried. She was angry at herself for crying, angry at Damon, and at the same time, her heart felt torn in two.
Torch was stunned by the fit Damon returned in, and he simply nodded, preparing to follow his friend back to America. "Should I ask...?" He said softly, not wanting to anger his friend further.
James look up from his head resting on his folded arms "well, we could practice knife throwing! I know where my dad keeps the key for the study!"Damon folded up her blanket and tucked it up under his arm "The spoiled witch doesn't need anybody to find her..." He growled under his breath and flew out to the sky like a bullet hardly waiting for Torch to follow.
Dem perked right up. "Cool! Let's do it!" He agreed, thrilled. It wasn't everyday he got to sneak into a secret study. Torch winced, wondering what on earth had happened, and how Damon had found Lexi in the first place, for he only assumed that was who he was talking about. He also was worried about how he was to tell all this to Mae... he shot out the window after Damon, his mouth set in a grim line.
Lexi looked up in time to see two figures streak across the sky, their forms growing smaller by the second. She sobbed and held her face in her hands, knowing somehow that Damon would not be coming back.
((so... lol this took a turn for the worse! We are so evil to them.... XD But where shall we take this? Is this a real break up, or just a temporary anger? And will one or the other find someone else temporarily? Or will Lexi somehow not be able to get back to America, and Damon thinks she left him by the end of the two months? Or are we going to be nice and just have her come back and make up when the time is up?))
((I know right? XD it was an excellent fight if you ask me! Hmm decisions, decisions...I like the idea of temporary, Lexi could appear heartbreak and a handsome stable boy befriends her and it turns to something more, and Damon bring the demon that he is just turns into a player worrying everyone especially Demetri. By the end of two months they both start worrying about eachother and something will happen!))James felt alone the wall for the loose board and grabbed the key running up to the study and unlocking it. He had befriended the Phoenix and pat his head "hey boy...no need for alarm."
Damon just felt himself tear away piece by piece, memories of all the times she left or let him down. Refusing to look or be with him after the Elders test, dying purposefully with Demetri...dying again and becoming an angel, leaving when she wasn't getting attention from him...and of course the groundbreaking event of him turning to his phase for the first time. Maybe it didn't work out at all, and he was just kidding himself!
((Sure! And maybe the stable boy breaks up with Lexi when he finds out what she is, and so she has a reason to leave England. She decides that she doesn't need any more boys ever, and travels the world with the girl (born by then) and that would be when she ran into Damon?))Dem watched James, fascinated. When he saw the pheonix, his eyes widened in alarm, but it seemed harmless, so he stepped into the study after James.
The pheonix just squawked happily. It wasn't much of a guard as Torch had intended him to be, at least not against James.
Lexi felt her sadness melt away slowly, as her tears dried up. He doesn't want me. He doesn't need me. I don't need him. I can do things on my own. She decided, getting up. She dried her eyes and dusted herself down, trying to appear normal once more. She had to get to work again before someone discovered her here.
((I love it! And she would run into him with one of his many ladies, then it could be the awkward and yet adorable transition of allowing themselves to let go and get back together.))James pet his feathers and smiled, he looked over at Demetri "Dem meet Fergus...he's a harmless softy." He cooed and glanced around the large room "now where did he put them..."
Damon flew back home and sat on the guest bed his anger solidifying as a dark must swirling around him like a cobra, he stared a hold through the picture of Lexi the paper shriveling away erasing the color and joy. He looked up at Torch "I don't need her. She obviously is far better off without me! I'm done being her pathetic slave boy..."
((Awesome! Another question. Are we going to rp out those two months completely? or should we just summarize what happens and cut to the chase?))Dem grinned and walked over. "Hi Fergus..." He said softly. "A real pheonix..." He breathed. "This is so cool!"
Torch followed him into the guest room slowly, watching his friend fume. He didn't like seeing him like this. He hated seeing his friend upset. Torch wasn't going to argue with him. He just nodded slowly. "If that's what you want." he simply said.
Lexi rushed back into the house to get a tongue lashing from the master over the thrown pot and spilled spaghetti. She took it, and just cleaned up quietly, her emotions numb, before getting back to work.
((I think we should do it completely, give us a chance to grow the drama and emotions for the both of them and how it effects the aftermath two months.))James chuckled "that's nothing! This room is the vault for awesome things! That book over there has pictures of our dad's throughout history!" He searched the chests trying to find the knife set.
Mika glanced over and frowned helping her "that wasn't called for...that man being a guest and putting the blame in you..." He said quietly shaking his head "what a twat!"
Damon nodded his anger simmering down, I can be a single dad. Dem takes care of himself anyways! I just have to look after Taylor...no more blood pouches or hormone rages...I can date whoever I want without commiting! This is going to be fantastic!"
((kk :) ))Dem grinned. "Seriously?" He ran over to the book and opened it. Sure enough, there was Damon and Torch, smiling and grinning throughout the ages. There was a picture from every century. "Cool..." he breathed.
Lexi looked up, startled. She didn't realize another person was here in the room. She smiled faintly and shrugged. "Its fine. He wont be bothering me any longer." She assured, a hint of bitterness in her tone.
Torch smiled softly, glad to see his friend getting back to normal, even if he was sad that he had broken up with his wife. "Glad to see you back to your regular self. Go have a good time for a bit, ok? Mae and I'll watch Taylor for a bit. I should probably talk to her anyways." he explained.
James nodded "isn't it weird to think we'll live that long too?! It's crazy! I mean even if our flame spurts out someone could still give you part of theirs!"He grinned finding the bone handle knives engraved with pearl "ah hah!"
Damon grinned "I'm going to the fiery storm! Don't wait up!" It was like a club for demons to really just have a good time drinking and hooking up without any regrets.
Mika nodded "good, I was going to go teach that guy some manners!"
Dem nodded. "Crazy awesome!" He agreed, shaking his head. He walked over to admire the knives. "Those are gorgeous." he breathed. "Can we go try them out?" He asked hopefully. Torch nodded, smiling and waving his friend off. "Have fun." he urged, hoping Damon would loosen up. He walked back to where Mae was and smiled nervously. "Hey darling. Um... I thought you should know that Lexi and Damon broke up." He said softly.
James nodded "if we damage them though my dad will skin me with them!" He took two out and handed them to Demetri, he shut the chest and grinned "I have some targets in the treehouse!"Mae dropped the plate she was washing "I beg your pardon?..." She started picking up the pieces and shook her head "it's just a phase..."
Damon went down and sat at the bar "light something on fire for me!" He grinned at the brunette next to him.
Mika shook his head "good...I was going to teach him some manners, he shouldn't be yelling at a lady like that..."
Dem took the knives, twirling them in his hands. "Yeah, sure thing." he agreed, walking out of the study and heading downstairs. He couldn't wait to practice with these. Torch sighed softly and raked a hand through his hair. "It didn't look like a phase to me. Lexi... They were pretty mad at eachother. I don't know what was said, but I did hear the yelling." He sighed.
The brunette, Julie, turned and laughed in delighted surprise. "Damon? My my my! I didn't think you'd be back here. Not since you got hitched." She laughed softly and moved closer to him. "Though, I highly doubt you would be up for some fun when you turned away every girl even before your wife?" she said, raising an eyebrow.
Lexi smiled softly, feeling a little better because of this strange man's politeness. "Thank you." She said softly. "It really is fine. I'd rather leave it in the past." She said softly. "Do you..." She started, trying to change the topic. "Do you work here?"
James set up the targets and grinned "alright! This is going great! Flip the blade handle counter clock wise!"Mae shook her head "they love each other...they can't divorce right?..."
Damon grinned and shook his head "I'm a free demon...Julia, you know I've always admired your power..."
Mika nodded "just the stable boy, I'm Mika." He held out his hand for her to shake.
Dem nodded, already knowing how to throw a knife. He handed one to James to practice with, and flung the other at the target. It hit in the third ring. Torch scraped a hand over the back of his neck. "They pretty much did just that." he whispered. "Demons don't have official divorce papers. They just end it..."
Julia smiled and her hand curled around his shoulder. "well in that case, baby, I've been waiting a long time for you." She said softly, kissing him passionately.
Lexi smiled softly and shook it. Finally someone with an honest job, and a simple life, no complications, no lies, no crazy powers or demon forms or weird anger issues. Just your regular man. "Lexi." She said, smiling. "Nice to meet you."
James nodded in approval and flipped it in his hand and threw it in the center, a perfect bullseye. He frowned and shrugged "guess I'm shaky..."Mae covered her mouth and hugged him tightly crying into his shirt "this can't be happening...our family is split up..."
Damon cupped her face and kissed her deeply, feeling his flame ignited he wasn't a tame little angel demon anymore. Damon was back! "Mmm Jules..."
Mika nodded "same. You need help with your duties? I finished early!"
Dem's eyes widened. "Man. You're a natural!" He said, shaking his head. "Why weren't you entering this competition again? You could totally win!"Torch didn't say anything as he hugged her gently, stroking her hair for a minute. Finally he kissed her head and whispered. "I'm sure everything will work out."
Julia grinned and pulled away slowly, with a small peck to his nose. "Welcome back Damon." She crooned, running her hands over his chest. "Want to continue elsewhere?"
Lexi smiled and stood with the pot in her arms. "Only if you know how to skin potatoes. Then sure." She said, placing the pot in the sink to be washed. The spaghetti would have to be thrown out.
James shrugged pulling the knife out and glancing over at him. "Just don't want to, I want to compete with new skills. I feel it's pointless if I'm automatically going to win."Mae swallowed and nodded slowly standing with him "how's he acting?..."
Damon chuckled his eyes swirling back to its red rim and total darkness "I think that's exactly what I want." He stood wrapping his arm around her shoulder loosely, feeling like the King of the underworld.
Mika grinned "are you kidding? I'm the best potato peeler the world has ever seen!" He chuckled and grabbed the small paring knife and started to peel them.
Dem shook his head. "That is like the exact opposite philosophy than what ive been told my whole life." He grinned. "Its cool." He retreived his knife and threw again, hitting closer to the target.Julia grinned, loving thay she finally had Damon, the most well know demon, to herself for a night. She led him into one of the back rooms and shut the door.
Lexi actually laughef softly, the first real one in a while. She cleaned up the spaghetti and then moved beside him, chopping tomatoes and carrots . "Thank you." She said softly.
James tilted his head observing his throwing style "here...let me help." He retrieved the blade and put it in Dem's hand "turn your body with your wrist." He moved Dem's waist to demonstrate "when you hit 180 degrees let it go."Damon grinned at her, his white teeth flashing in the dark silk covered room he pushed her to the cushion roughly and careened over her "careful...you don't want to wake the beast."
Mika smiled over at her and nodded "not a problem, I'm always one to help the fair damsel's in distress..." He focused on the peeler and finished the off the potato and grabbed another one.
Dem moved with James, taking his advice when he threw again. The dagger flew and hit a hairsbreadth away from the center. "Yes! He exclaimed.Julie laughed softly, pulling him down on her so she could get started with kissing and biting his neck. "You underestimate me. Of course I want to." She purred, her hands sliding up under his shirt.
Lexi flushed and smiled sheepishly. "So now im the damsel in distress?" She asked playfully, finishing one carrot and moving to the next.
James gave him a high five and laughed "now you have it! You are sure to win!" He said seriously and grabbed the dagger "you should work with different weights of knives just in case though!"Damon chuckled darkly and tore open her shirt and began biting her chest "is that so? Darling I think it is you who underestimates me!"
Mika grinned over at her "what would you call yourself?..."
Dem smiled. "Only thanks to you." He said seriously. "But yeah. I guess I should. Do you have other weights?" He asked.Julia groaned, loving this. She pulled off his shirt and stroked her hands over his back, wrapping her legs around him to pull him closer. "We shall see Damon, we shall see." She whispered in his ear. And she did. Julia highly enjoyed the hours they spent together, leaving Damon with enough money for a round of drinks as her thanks.
Words flew at Lexi: monster, vampire, villian, alien, nobody. She shook her head. Thats who and what she had been . Now, now she was something different. She could be the damsel in distress if she wanted to. She shrugged. "Slightly capable damsel in distress. She said, smiling.
James shrugged "we'd have to search the study! I don't own any, dad was going to get them for my birthday...but we kind of skipped over it from all the crap going on..."Damon chuckled and bought her a drink and gave the rest back "I don't need money darling, that was payment enough." It felt so empty they didn't connect he wasn't careful with her or even cared about how she was feeling...
Mika chuckled "I'm sure you are very capable, nothing wrong with people helping you though right?"
Dem sighed sadly. "I hear you. My parents are kinda busy as well. Ok. Really busy..." He shook his head. "Hopefully it gets worked out soon." He said softly. He headed for the window "I'll go search the study. Be right back." He fored a smile. Julia smiled sweetly. "Well aren't you just a gentleman." She shook her head. "I enjoyed it. Let's do it again sometime, ok?" She said, kissing his cheek before slinking back into the crowds.
Lexi wasn't so sure. It would be hard to trust someone again. Very hard. "Yeah. I suppose." She agreed reluctantly, dumping the carrots in a pot to be cooked.
James nodded in agreement and then followed him "wait there are a lot of booby traps my dad set up...I need to come with you, he's super protective of that room!"Damon grinned and gulped down a shot, that was easy and the bachelor life wasn't going to be horrible! He just wished he didn't have to deal with his pesky kids...
Mika chopped up the tomatoes and handed her the potatoes "that guy did some damage didn't he?"
Dem nodded, slowing to allow James to catch up. "How'd you get past them all the first time?" he asked, curious. When word got out that Damon was back, a group of girls had quickly flocked around him, giggling and sighing, all vying for his attention.
Lexi paused, holding the potatoes tightly in her hands. Then she nodded. "Yes. He did." She admitted, sighing. Then she quickly added. "But its fine. I'm ok. He can't get to me. He wont get to me. I'll be alright." She said seriously, as if scolding herself as she dumped the potatoes in the pot with the carrots and started slicing onions.
James chuckled "with Loo's help, she could sense each one and we would just keep trying every time dad wasn't home...turned into a challenge, once we got locked in and had to sneak past the door with him in there without being seen!"Damon chuckled and played each girls heart like a fiddle, those he truly appreciated got the Ace of hearts playing card that he singed the sides. Kind of his calling card, he was getting submersed in this world again and wondered what ever made him stop.
Mika frowned watching her but knew to say nothing, he added the tomatoes and grinned at her "he obviously is worse off, his worth less than a roach...you don't need him."
Dem grinned. "No... really!?" He breathed, shaking his head. "Sounds like so much fun! Man, wish I was there."Torch sighed. "He's back to his usual self. Well. His old self." he said honestly. "Down at the club now."
The girls kept coming all evening, and soon frustrated boyfriends started showing up. The club quickly was centered in action around Damon.
Lexi forced herself to laugh softly. "Yeah..." then she smiled at him. "Thank you again. For everything."
James grinned "we'll have many more adventures!" He assured and walked back into the study and searching the drawers "if I was a dagger...where would I hide?..."Mae shook her head "what about the kids, he can't live that life and be a father..."
Damon wasn't phased by anything, he was soon bored with it and went to find his brother Asher.
Mika looked to the side at her and shrugged "just a stable boy...not much I can do..."
Dem helped him look, searching in the cupboards. He accidentally bumped a panel in one of them, and it opened up to reveal a safe. The safe that Torch hid in here. The reason he kept this room hidden in the first place. Dem smiled. "Look what I found!"Torch nodded slowly. "Dem is pretty much on his own. I think Damon's going to try and bring up Taylor. Though I pity that girl, living with a father like that. And then there's the fact that she's a spitting image of Lexi. That might cause problems.
Asher was doing what he did best, causing trouble. He was currently exploring volcanic tubes, some of which that could become active.
Lexi sighed softly. "No really. After my hu... I mean ex left... well you helped." She mixed the stew slowly, biting her lip. She wasn't going to cry... no not now... she couldn't... but she was. It started before she could stop it. The anger and shock had melted away, leaving just cold emotion.
James' eyes got wide as he admired the large black safe. A wolfish grin appeared on his face the one that usually followed mischief "pity...it doesn't have a lock!" He grinned at Dem "you found it the honor is all yours!"Mae shook her head in disgust "I hate even thinking about it, but maybe we could convince him to give her up...give her a much better life! She's not going to remember Lexi or Damon when she's older."
Damon chuckled pulling him out of the way nonchalantly before the geyser erupted "I think being stupid is the same definition that you have for causing trouble."
Mika couldn't stand to see those pretty blue eyes tear up and he hugged her gently and handed her his handkerchief "it's pretty clean..." He assured concerned for her.
Dem grinned and rubbed his hands together. His eyes flashed and he placed his hands on the side, taking a deep breath before digging them into the metal. He strained as he bent, snapped, and then pulled it outwards, peering inside. "What is that....?" He asked. Inside, there seemed to just be a ball of black... energy? It looked like a little black orb that was spinning and hovering. Then, it disappeared. Torch bit his lip. "I hate to think of that too..." he said softly. Then suddenly, he gasped, clawing at his neck as he could no longer breathe. The... his... it was back... it was free... but how? Torch tumbled to his knees, squirming to try and rid himself of the dark energy that was trying to force itself back into its soul from where it had come in the first place.
Asher grinned, his eyes widening. "Damon! You look great! Much better than the last time I saw you. What's up?"
Lexi hugged him back, wanting someone to hold her. Despite her want to be independent, it was hard to be completely alone right away. She cried softly, just letting her emotions go. "Thank you." She stammered, using it to wipe her eyes.
James blinked and suddenly he didn't feel very adventurous anymore, he felt like a scared teenage boy "I don't think we should have opened it..." He whispered and jumped as the room door slammed, he pulled with all his might but they were trapped. The walls started to move decreasing the size of the room "Dem!"Mae immediately went to his side terrified "Torch?..." The energy whipped around knowing it would cause more damage going into another body, it slid up her arm over her neck and into her mouth. She gagged and coughed struggling to breathe.
Damon grinned his ferile grin "oh I'm back Ash, free and ready to claim my reputation back...I've already broke dozens of hearts...it's time to destroy some lives now!"
Mika nodded and rubbed her back trying to calm her down "it's alright...just let it all out..." He soothed knowing that letting it go was going to start the healing.
Dem gasped, glancing around in surprise and fear. "You know how to get out right!? Please tell me you know how to get out!" He said, searching the walls frantically for a weak spot. Torch felt the cold darkness sliding closer and closer to his core, and he fought it with all his might until... it was gone. He turned over, gasping and coughing as he took shaky lungfuls of air. For one joyous moment he thought he might have defeated it. Until he saw Mae struggling to breathe. "Mae... no..." he moaned, cradling her in his arms.
Ash laughed. "Really? Am I ever glad to hear that! You came to the right person." He said, rubbing his hands together. "Are you planning on eating? Or just killing?" he inquired.
Lexi did. She allowed herself to cry, to cry until there were no tears left. And when they were gone, all the hurt and anger for Damon moved to the back of her mind. She wasn't thinking about him anymore. Damon was in the past. Lexi just hugged Mika, resting her head on his shoulder. She was exhausted from the events of the day.
James shook his head "yelling!? DAD!!! Dad!!! LOO! Mom!!!" He tried to push against the wall and moved the heavy desk between them.Mae fought against it hard, an internal strength she had no clue she had pushed it out. Mae moved out of the way and the orb flitted around the room panicked until it disappeared no where to go.
Damon grinned "my appetite for blood came back...cow pastures don't cover the burning hunger inside!"
Mika led her back to the room and onto her bed "I'll take over your duties tonight...you should get some rest..." He whispered worriedlt.
London heard the calls, even though she was in the middle of spending some lovely time with Mark. She jumped up and ran upstairs. "Where are you!?"Dem was smashing himself against the walls, trying to get out. "In the study!" He shouted. "Break the walls or something!"
London ran to the study and clawed at the wall. "I can't! I only... I only heal!" She sobbed.
Torch held Mae tight against himself, actually crying. "Forgive me... forgive me..." He murmured. "It wasn't supposed to escape...." He said, shaking his head.
Asher grinned. "Let's get started then, shall we?" he asked, taking to the skies. He knew where all the small towns were nearby. Towns where stragglers who never came back would not be missed.
Lexi tried to protest, but feeling the mattress beneath her, it was all she could do to keep her eyes open. "You're a life saver. Thanks." She mumbled, curling up on the bed.
Mark slammed himself against it, but it was no use! He tried to freeze it and that amounted to nothing either. He panicked looking at London "we need to get help!"James kept trying to push against it, the leverage snapped his arm and he cried out still not giving up the persuit.
Mae shook her head "shh shh it's over...we are fine...it's gone..." She soothed and then blinked hearing yelling "where is that coming from?!"
Damon grinned maliciously and took off after him, he dove into the small town a bit off on a barren road "we going for the need help bait? Or the seductor?"
Mika nodded putting the blanket over her and heading back to the kitchen to finish the soup and serve it.
London had tears in her eyes, hearing her brother cry in pain. She knew it would be too late soon. "There's no time left." She said softly. The air around them rumbled and then a crackling rushed up through the floor, fizzing and spitting as electrical energy engulfed the study. Something groaned and the door snapped, swinging open on broken hinges. Torch wiped his eyes, stroking her hair to calm her and himself. Then his head shot up. "The study." He said softly, and leaped to his feet, racing upstairs. He stopped when he saw the door, and the four kids. The color drained from his face and he just stared.
Ash laughed softly. "Haven't had female in a while. Let's go with the latter." he said softly, walking towards the town. there were plenty of people to prey on here. Eating was always permitted, as long as the souls were taken to hell afterwards. Easy snacks.
Lexi was out like a light. For once, she actually didn't dream at all. She was too tired.
James closed his eyes, his back against Dem's he waited for the ending crunch and suddenly the room started to fall away like a banana peel and he opened his eyes watching the door fall off it's hinges. He stared at London knowing that she had something to do with it.Mae ran to the boys and held them in her hug "oh...are you alright?" She cupped each face analyzing their slight wounds and deciding they were alright she let out a sigh of relief.
Damon analyzed the bullition board, and tapped the bright flyer "Halloween dance tonight...perfect." He purred grinning at his brother "some girl'sdark fantasies are going to come true tonight..."
Torch raised an eyebrow, but didn't comment on his friend's odd behavior. He figured he would just wait here for Damon to figure out it wasn't Lexi, and return.
Lexi tucked a strand of her now brown hair behind her ear and smacked the flour off her hands, before moving to the pot of spaghetti she was boiling, and started to stir.
