Pam (bluegrasspam) I finished the Easy Challenge:

1. Burial Rites by Hannah Kent (AA) 5 stars! Terrific book - really well written!
3. Very Good, Jeeves! Very Good, Jeeves! (Jeeves, #4) by P.G. Wodehouse (swan on cover) 4 stars Fun collection of stories!
8. In Montmartre: Picasso, Matisse and the Birth of Modernist Art by Sue Roe. The author is from England. 3 stars it's a good art history type book but could've used more pictures of the works mentioned.
I'm still going to try to read a book published in 2017.

Valerie (nicehotcupoftea) | 834 comments I have finished the book which has sat on my TBR for a long time, and I never imagined that a Colleen McCullough would let me down, however I am disappointed. Nearly gave up a quarter of the way through, but plodded on. I can't put my finger on what it was, the story didn't really take me anywhere, and it really didn't seem to finish at all!
I guess there was a reason for it stagnating on my shelf, and this strengthens my resolve to clear out anything I'm really not excited about.
