I finished another one, my 19th. K for people kissing on the cover. Evan And Darcy by Melanie Coles, Aussie author. The Goodreads cover does not show them kissing but the Kobo edition I have does.
It's a modern take on Pride & Prejudice, with the genders reversed & set in country Victoria! It was an enjoyable read. 4 stars

I better get my skates on ... I have just finished my 14th Force of Nature - J - and 15th It Ends with Us .... U - Uncomfortable. Thank you for that last - it was from your list Carolyn and I read it just before doing a course on recognising and responding to DV so well timed. I was rather concerned that my library had the big red heart on the spine indicating romance ... it was and it wasn't!

Yes Sally906, it's the first book of her MaddAdam trilogy. Books 2 and 3 are The Year of the Flood and MaddAddam. Dystopian and about genetic engineering.

Oh, good to hear you found the rest of the series intriguing Phrynne. I'd read some mixed reviews so wasn't sure if I'd read more, but they're highly rated. And I enjoyed the genetic engineering twist more than the fertility and patriarchal twists of The Handmaid's Tale.

So I've been pretty quiet on the reading challenge front because I've been in a bit of a slump, but I think I'm out of it now, I was just reading the wrong genre.

Last week I finished my 20th for this challenge: Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, which I give 3★.

Now to read 6 books in just under 2 months. Easily done!

With finishing off Don Quixote yesterday I am up to 11 done. Uni is done for the year so...15 books in a month and a half. Not too sure how i'll go

Especially the two books in series (I never read out of order). #20 nancy drew and #6 Discworld.. Thats an additional 24 books.. better get off the computer :)
