10.10 Can You Read This? I read The Music of Aaron Copland by Neil Butterworth, with a picture of Mr.Copland wearing glasses on the cover: The Music of Aaron Copland by Neil Butterworth

25.9 M1nk's AbstractArt

Option 2. Choose an abstract painting from this list:
http://www.abstract-art-framed.com/fa...

A little over halfway down is a painting entitled "Vir Heroicus Sublimis" by Barnett Newman. It shows three orange panels divided by a white line and a black line, and framed by a white and black rectangle. There are "stress marks" of white on the panels, too.

"Read a book with a title which you think would make a good name for the painting."

The book I read is Stage Directions by John Gielgud. If you think of the three panels as representative of a stage, or three different stages, then the painting suggests "directions" in which the stage(s) could develop, or in which the actor/director could view the stage.

Option 3. "Dystopia" as a GR genre. I read After the Fall, Before the Fall, During the Fall by Nancy Kress.
