Jennifer | 52 comments I've just finished Red Dragon (Hannibal Lecter, #1) by Thomas Harris . I've read it before but after watching Hannibal last year I want to read them again, and read Hannibal Rising for the first time.

I've read a few reviews that have said the writing is awful, but I thought it was fine. Maybe it was because I was padding it out, and filling in the blanks with the TV show happenings.

Either way, it's a great plot and I would recommend others try it.

I find Hannibal Lector really interesting.

Tim Gunter | 15 comments Reading through Fighting Malevolent Spirits A Demonologist's Darkest Encounters by Samantha E Harris it's.....interesting so far. Still early and not sure exactly how I feel about it. But my read of The Amityville Horror by Jay Anson early reignited my need for 'true' paranormal books, and this one had a high rating on amazon, so figured I'd give it a go

Jessie | 31 comments Well, doing a book challenge so I am reading something a little less gory - ok a lot less gory. "Secrets" by Danielle Steel.
On the side I am reading Mr. X by Peter Straub . Not very far into it yet.

Most of them, yes. For horror novels, I would highly recommend Summer of Night by Dan Simmons , Carrion Comfort by Dan Simmons and The Terror by Dan Simmons . (The Terror being a horror/history novel, well researched and just good fun!)

I've had my eye on that one for a while. I'd be curious to know what you think of it once you've read it.

message 174: by Todd (new)

Todd (toddkeisling) I'm close to wrapping up the audio version of It by Stephen King , read by Stephen Weber. I've read IT twice in the past, but I'd heard good things about this audio edition and decided to check it out. Weber did an amazing job with it, and I have to say it's probably one of the best audio productions I've ever heard.

I'm also 2/3 of the way through Boy's Life by Robert McCammon and thoroughly enjoying it. This is my first McCammon novel. Definitely won't be my last.

message 175: by Char (new)

Char Boy's Life!! Woohoo!

I too enjoyed Weber's narration of IT. He was excellent!

message 176: by Char (new)
