I like him and I agree, you definitely have to be in the mood for his slow, brooding, quiet horror. I've been reading his Oxrun Station series and I'd have to say that this one had the weakest plot out of all that I've read so far. It's too bad because I thought they were his strongest characters that I've read.

Loved Necroscope II. As good as the first one was, I liked this one better.

That book is really good."
I still haven't read any Little yet. How much of a crime is that?!?

The Suicide Motor ClubDaughters of Arkham
Just read:
Terror by Moonlight
29 Argyle Drive
Doctor Who: Heart of Stone
I just started The Fireman by Joe Hill. I have liked all of his books so far, and I'm hoping that this one will not disappoint either. I like that Joe has followed in his father's footsteps, but his style and stories are much different. I will provide updates as I go.

I've heard great things already about The Fireman. Loved his Heart Shaped Box, Horns, and NOS4A2.

I'm reading The Devourers, which I got free thru Netgalley, and loving every gore-soaked historical moment of it.
I am RAVING over The Final Cut, released Friday by Crystal Lake Publishing, totally out of this world, super, fantastic, 36 star great.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Kandice wrote: "I'm working my way through the Preacher, Vol. 1: Gone to Texas series. Not horror, but very gory."LOVED that freaking book. :)
Not a horror novel, but I am currently reading a game of thrones really good but since I have already watched the series I'm a bit slow to finish it because I know what's going to happen
Kandice wrote: "Started Swan Song and wondering why I never read him before!"
I'm jealous you get to read Swan Song for the first time!

Boy's life by Robert McCammon. I've never read any of his stuff and have heard many good things about him so I thought it's time to give him a whirl!
Someone mentioned this one as part of their top 5, with a comment of I dare you to read it. Some I had a look. It looks pretty good and it was cheap as chips so here I go!

Swan Song - Robert McCammonThe Terror - Dan Simmons
The Handmaids Tale - Margaret Atwood
Every now and then a story from Skeleton Crew by King (I managed to buy the smelliest book that exists on planet Earth from Amazon so it's slow going. The fumes are tough to handle lol)

I loved the explanation in Necroscope III of the origins of vampires. When you get done with III and you're ready to start IV, let me know. I'll read it with you.

Will do, although it may take me a little while. Lots of group and buddy reads going on!
This isn't horror, but Ink and Bone which has psychics, kidnapping, murder and a lot of good writing.
I'm reading a crime / mystery by Louise Penny, and really loving it. (It's called How The Light Gets In)
I just finished the third book (City of Mirrors) in the Passages trilogy by Justin Cronin. I have moved on to CTL ALT Revolt by Nick Cole.
KaiI chose this just for it's cover and it was a good random choice. It's a slow burner but I recommend it highly!
I just began Boy's Life, only 67 pages in and it's already amazing. Better than Swan Song in my opinion.
