It's pretty strange but I like it. Great characters.

Khenan Bragador | 140 comments Reminded me to move onto Cloudstreetafter finishing The Night of the Hunter by Davis Grubb. It probably derserves more than being a palate cleanser after how much I enjoyed the night of, but someone's got to do it! :) Looking forward to it

I still haven't read any of the Antoine Laurain books, but this seems like it's probably in the same ballpark.

I just started the audio of La Belle Sauvage by Philip Pullman La Belle Sauvage (The Book of Dust, #1) by Philip Pullman and the narrator is Michael Sheen. So so very good!!!

A big shock jumping back into Reilly an his writing style. Last one i read was a few years ago. Hopefully it will be just an enjoyable easy read

Khenan Bragador | 140 comments Finished off The Four Legendary Kingdoms by Matthew Reilly. I have to say I miss his older stories when there wasn't all these grand mythical mysteries and such, but it was certainly entertaining!

and just a note.. describing how someone ends a handshake like (view spoiler) has to be some of the best writing ever, I never knew Reilly was a comedian haha

Jessica Bowden | 22 comments I'm reading Persuasion by Jane Austen at the moment. I'm very much enjoying it and finding it to be absolutely hilarious. However, it is taking me quite a bit longer to read than the average novel. Does anyone else find this when reading Jane Austen? Anyone have any tips?

Khenan Bragador | 140 comments Got a few pages into The Book of Tea by Kakuzō Okakura before I realised i should take this one slow to really appreciate it, so interspersing it with Emma by Jane Austen. With this one done i think i'll be nearly done with the Austen novels.
