What Are You Currently Reading? (doesn't have to be an Aussie book) - Part 2
another of those weird coincidences: the phrase "wolf in shepherd's clothing" (not wolf in sheep's clothing) appears in my last read The Beekeeper's Secret and my current one Straight Jacketand as for subject matter and style, they couldn't be much further apart....
I'm reading the Aussie Crime Group's book for this month A Plot to Die For by C.A. Larmer. It's a good quick cosy crime. A bit Agatha Christie with an Aussie flavour.
I've just started Indigo Storm by Fleur McDonaldI'm already feeling apprehensive and afraid for Ashleigh.
I do like this cover
better than this cover

That's funny - I love the autumn shaded cover better! I've always loved those colours, so I'm probably biased! A fantastic book though, whatever the cover!

Finally getting to Killing Floor by Lee Child - gave it to my dad for Christmas. Not my usual genre, and finding the writing style a bit tiresome, but I am enjoying it :)

I really enjoy that series Alexander - I've read them all!

Lee Child is giving me a good read, but all his sentences are so short! Did he skip school the day they learned about conjunctions? :P
LOL! I guess I've become used to his style of writing - it doesn't bother me and I don't even notice it; too busy devouring the story!
Currently reading Go Set a WatchmanHave been putting it off for a while since I brought it home from the library. But on my way now.

In Petrocelli, John Rachel does the short powerful sentences to great effect.
I've started Notes from an Exhibition the best selling novel by the eloquent Patrick Gale. Why is it that gay men write so beautifully? I fell in love with the first paragraph and have enjoyed every word since. I've already marked a few of his other books to read.
I loved A Place Called Winter and that sent me looking for more by Patrick Gale. I have managed to pick up quite a few....
I have that one on my tbr, Marianne. From your comments and other comments in other groups, I see I am not alone in my liking of Gale's work. A new author for me to explore and enjoy:)
Only 25% into it but really enjoying Entry Island by Peter May atm.*Carolyn I think you would like this one :)
Marianne wrote: "his books are good, Jools!"This is my first one Marianne so that's good to hear, I'm really getting into it...albeit slowly because of other pressing committments...but I think I will be reading more of his.
Does he keep the same characters or are they all stand alone's?
I have read two that were stand-alone Runaway and Coffin Road which were both excellent. He has two series and a trilogy, of which I have managed to gather some in my travels...
