Jess (jesscatt) | 200 comments I'm still alive haha, uni went back this week so I've been trying to limit excessive goodreads browsing time! :p I'll update the spreadsheet in the next day or two with anything I've read since I last updated :)

Kazen, I think that should fit resistance!

message 402: by Kazen (new)

Kazen Three people, I'll take it! Thanks guys :)

Hi everyone - my internet is finally working again! yay!

So I just checked and we have all read a book for the week and 6 of us have read for the detour.
I'm just not sure if Lauri or Laila Jane are reading for the detour? (for our 7th person). We can't move until 5th March anyway, but just wanted to check :)

Glad your internet is working again! It's a nightmare when mine doesn't work!

message 405: by Laila Jane (new)

Laila Jane (axlilxlala) | 1238 comments I'm reading for the detour. I'm hoping to finish my book this weekend.

message 406: by Jess (new)

Jess (jesscatt) | 200 comments Internet not working is the kind of horror movie to stop me from sleeping! Lol, glad it's working again.

message 407: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1724 comments Castle detour? I'm almost done with The Queen of the Tearling

I am so swamped at work, I'm brain dead! But Im still alive!!

message 408: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1724 comments I have finished The Queen of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling, #1) by Erika Johansen
Could someone add it to the spreadsheet, please?

So there's the castle detour... Am reading The Abbey for an A book... Do we need any other letters for a spell out?

Also reading Red Rising and An Ember in the Ashes
Either of those should be good for a rebellion, right?

message 409: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 1047 comments I'm still not able to access any spreadsheet from my laptop. So, could someone please add Room by Emma Donoghue ? I just finished it.

message 410: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1724 comments Hope everyone is doing great... I am extremely happy today! Got a much-needed haircut this week and tonite am gonna get it colored. Hope to take at least 10 years off myself!! Also got a bunch of clearance tops for under $50!
It's nice and quiet and cozy here. Hope to finish off a couple more books by tomorrow. I'm torn between reading and the Harry Potter weekend.

So Laila Jane and Jess - up to you two who wants to read our 7th
Everyone else, we just need to read one book for the week. (our next stop is a Task spell-it-out of Salalah if you want to read something for that)

message 416: by Karen ⊰✿, Fiction Aficionado (new)

Karen ⊰✿ | 16617 comments Mod
@Lauri - yes, I think either of those books would work for a rebellion. Sounds like you had a great day!

message 417: by Jess (new)

Jess (jesscatt) | 200 comments Oh yes! I've read a book for werewolf, I just have to add it in :) I'll do that now

message 418: by Laila Jane (new)

Laila Jane (axlilxlala) | 1238 comments And I'll be finished with my current book tonight, so that'll be my one finished book for this stop =)

message 420: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1724 comments Back to life, back to reality, back to the here and now...
Yeah, back to work today. Sigh*
Do you ever sit at your desk and just wish you were reading a BOOK? That was my day today.
The saving grace is that I got to go to the library! Yaaayyyy!

message 421: by Jess (new)

Jess (jesscatt) | 200 comments Yay library!

I realised about a minute ago that I had a library book due back today (it's 7.30pm now). My library doesn't have fees but I still feel really bad! Lol.

message 422: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1724 comments When that happens, I consider it a donation to a very good cause...

message 423: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1724 comments Just checking... Here are some other books I've finished. Not sure if I mentioned them in regards to this challenge or not...

Blade of the Samurai Blade of the Samurai (Shinobi Mystery, #2) by Susan Spann 3/5/16
Home for a Spell Home for a Spell (A Bewitching Mystery, #7) by Madelyn Alt 3/8/16

The H might come in handy...

I've been reading some larger books, but now I'm trying to fit in a few smaller ones for another challenge
So this week I finished two NetGalley books:
Diary of Anna the Girl Witch Foundling Witch by Max Candee
and
Eliza Rose by Lucy Worsley

Both are cute middle grade/YA books, but I preferred Eliza Rose as I felt it was better written and I love the premise (King Henry VIII's court) and the author is a historian and curator at Hampton Court Palace which is pretty cool

message 425: by Laila Jane (new)

Laila Jane (axlilxlala) | 1238 comments I added Eliza Rose by Lucy Worsley to my TBR shelf. Sounds interesting!

message 426: by Delitealex (new)

Delitealex | 3990 comments Finished The Outlaw Demon Wails (The Hollows, #6) by Kim Harrison 3/9 my book for the week.

message 427: by Cathy M. (last edited Mar 09, 2016 11:22PM) (new)

Cathy M. (mccathy77) | 5979 comments Just finished The Score (Off-Campus, #3) by Elle Kennedy ! Adding it to the spreadsheet.

Wait - should I use that for the S for the spell-it-out? I should finish another book tomorrow/Friday which I can add for this week's instead.

message 428: by Laila Jane (new)

Laila Jane (axlilxlala) | 1238 comments I've got a book from week one which I've been saving for that S if you wanted to use that book for something else

How did you like that book btw? I loved The Deal (Off-Campus, #1) by Elle Kennedy and have the rest of the books in the series on my TBR shelf

message 430: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1724 comments Aloha, ladies! How's everyone doing?,it's still cold & rainy here. I'm all cozy at the moment watching 'Alice in Wonderland' on cable. Somehow I've missed it up till now... I've discovered this peppermint syrup to add to hot chocolate that is simply delicious.
The only low spot on my horizon is a dentist appointment tomorrow. :(
I should finish up An Ember in the Ashes by tomorrow. That will be my rebellion book!

message 431: by Drishti (last edited Mar 12, 2016 12:59AM) (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 1047 comments I'm neck deep in studying. Maths exam on Monday! :'(

Lauri, it's cold and rainy here too. I hate this weather. :-\

It is so stupidly hot here, I'm over it. Summer started last September and it *still* hasn't left. I love warm weather, but even I am completely done! Bring on Autumn!

In other news, we have finished our stop and being the 12th March we can move on to our 7th stop - SALALAH - yay!

message 433: by Lauri (last edited Mar 12, 2016 09:47PM) (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1724 comments I finished An Ember in the Ashes An Ember in the Ashes (An Ember in the Ashes, #1) by Sabaa Tahir today. So that's my rebellion book.

Could someone add it to the spreadsheet for me, please?

So... What letters do we still need for Salalah? I'm sure I'll have one, or be able to pick it up tomorrow at the library!

The dentist today was brutal -- I had two fillings and I just hate Novocain! The one good thing about my dentist is that his office is in the Liliha Bakery building. They make these awesome things called coco puffs. They're like cream puffs, but are filled with a milk chocolate pudding and topped with chantilly. Yum-o!
Tomorrow should more than help make up for the bad Saturday --library and a pedicure. :)

message 434: by Laila Jane (new)

Laila Jane (axlilxlala) | 1238 comments Yay! On to the next stop - my birthplace!

Lauri - I added your book to the spreadsheet. And those coco puffs sound amazing!

message 435: by Cathy M. (last edited Mar 13, 2016 12:16AM) (new)

Cathy M. (mccathy77) | 5979 comments Very cool Laila Jane :)

Lauri oh my those coco puffs sound yummy!!!

Whoever added The Score for me, thank you! And Laila Jane - I loved that series! Was a little surprised that they were so good & that all the MCs were so likable (male & female). Dean even came out on top if you could believe it :P

Finished The Last Kingdom today which could work for L. Or A for character Alfred. I'll add it to the spreadsheet and if we need to use it, we can. Otherwise it'll be my book for the week :)

Sorry for being a bit MIA.
last weekend I aggravated my wrist and ended up with Intersection Syndrome (I had it once before about 2 years ago). anyway, it means I can't do a whole lot with my right hand including typing ; so I've not been writing a whole lot online over the last week.
Last time it took months to improve, but I'm hoping that because I started treatment early this time won't be anywhere near as bad :o

message 438: by Jess (new)

Jess (jesscatt) | 200 comments Ow, Karen! Hope it feels better soon

I finished Speak on March 6th, and In the Hand of the Goddess March 13th. I'll add them to the spreadsheet tomorrow but I wanted to quickly pop in and update in case we were moving to our next stop - which I see we have, yay!

message 439: by Laila Jane (new)

Laila Jane (axlilxlala) | 1238 comments I'm sorry to hear that Karen. I hope you feel better and have a speedy recovery =)

message 442: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1724 comments Feel better soon, Karen. At least you can still read!

I had a strained ulnar nerve some years back. My doctor wanted complete rest for that hand for one week. My husband followed me around watching me so I wouldn't do laundry or write. He even cut up my food for me! Touching, but at the same time very annoying!

message 443: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1724 comments Quick! Anybody who has the time, that is. I need a book recommendation -- anything you love under 350 pages, please.
Really appreciate it!

I saw this was on your TBR shelf. I highly recommend Confess by Colleen Hoover

message 447: by Cathy M. (new)

Cathy M. (mccathy77) | 5979 comments It's so hard picking just 1! Then to find one under 350 pgs and something you haven't already read...

Hmmm one that I read last year and really enjoyed was
The Law of Moses (The Law of Moses, #1) by Amy Harmon . And I'm reading The Spirit Thief (The Legend of Eli Monpress, #1) by Rachel Aaron right now and so far I like it!

message 448: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1724 comments Thanks so much for your recommendations, everybody! I'm going to have a hard time picking one now!!

message 449: by Delitealex (last edited Mar 15, 2016 12:07AM) (new)

Delitealex | 3990 comments Finished A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness 3/14

message 450: by Delitealex (last edited Mar 15, 2016 07:51PM) (new)

Delitealex | 3990 comments What letters are left for the spellout?

I'm almost done with Cress (The Lunar Chronicles, #3) by Marissa Meyer which will be for rebellion/resistance.
