Cathy M. (mccathy77) | 5979 comments I think the book that made me cry the hardest/longest was The Reluctant Dom (Suncoast Society, #4) by Tymber Dalton . That book killed me! Ugly painful sobs.

Finished Ready Player One by Ernest Cline this morning. LOVED IT!!!!!! Then I had to tell the guys I work with (who don't EVER read but do love tech) all about it and they told me it's being made into a movie. Not that that should be surprising but it's being made by Steven Spielberg so it should be done well right?! *fingers crossed*

message 670: by Maya (last edited May 13, 2016 09:10PM) (new)

Maya (ferafaces) | 282 comments Woo! Recommending books errywhur.

I did get my copy of Something Rotten from the library, so as soon as I find time to slide it in between other challenges, it'll be done!

Is there a time limit on these? And how far behind am I? And is there any from the past I need to fill in? Is it possible to ask more questions?!!!!

message 671: by Greta (new)

Greta | 1459 comments No time limit, Maya, but we are trying to go with one stop per week. I don't think anyone minds if it takes longer. No, there's no catching up we need.

If you look at the spreadsheet (I think it's in message 2), you will see upcoming tasks.

If you read the task during the week when we are in that location, you don't need any other books. If you preread a book for a future task, then when we get to that week you need a book of choice for participation for that week.

We have already decided for this round that the rest of the stops we will do the detours. See the tracking business tab for our progress.

message 672: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1724 comments I just finished Some Girls Bite on 5/12 & Their Promised Land: My Grandparents in Love and War on 5/13... Both were excellent, but I think I'm going to be reading more of the vampire series! Gotta love a new vamp who is snarky!

Can someone add them onto the spreadsheet for me, please?

Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill Their Promised Land My Grandparents in Love and War by Ian Buruma

message 681: by Cathy M. (new)

Cathy M. (mccathy77) | 5979 comments Just waiting for Laila!

Delitealex I just looked up a book I just finished and I think if you look for a book around 350-400 pgs, it should work. If you need help finding the info, let us know!

message 682: by Maya (new)

Maya (ferafaces) | 282 comments I thought one I finished would fit but I think the amazon specs were off. :(

message 691: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1724 comments Hi, ladies! I've taken another 'Monday Mental Health' day off again... So I just finished Water for Elephants which was really, really good and am working on Paper Towns -- which will be my 2008 book as well as a bunch of others for various challenges. And it's library day again with pot roast for dinner. It just doesn't get any better than this!

Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen should we add it to the spreadsheet or is it just overkill at this point? Cathy can decide! :)

message 692: by Laila Jane (new)

Laila Jane (axlilxlala) | 1238 comments Am I the strangler again? I'm going to read Married By Morning, book #4 in the series. This should be a quick read for me so hopefully I can get it done in the next few days.

I'll add it when I get home later but we might not need it!

I really need to read both of those. I've heard many people recommending Paper Towns just today! Funny how that happens.

message 696: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1724 comments More insomniac craziness... I just finished Mambo in Chinatown and Ask The Parrot yesterday 5/18/16. 'Mambo' was excellent! I really enjoyed it & stayed up way too late reading. I know we don't need them, but still... You gotta read 'Mambo!'

Mambo in Chinatown by Jean Kwok Ask The Parrot (Parker, #23) by Richard Stark

message 697: by Greta (new)
