What are you reading in 2016?
Okay not at as exciting as the others, but it was nice departure from some of the heavy stuff I have been listening to of late.
My long, long-requested book came in from the library, so I picked it up last night and read it today:
.I liked it quite a lot, but the cover was definitely not done by someone who read the story. How many times did Lucy comment (in her mind) about Gus's very hairy chest and what it did to her???
The cover model looks waxed. Too bad, :(
I just started reading
Broken Monsters by Lauren Beukes. I really liked her first book,
The Shining Girls, so I have good hopes for this one.
Sandra ~ ♥ Cross My Heart ♥ wrote: "I'm starting my reread of

Hopefully I'll catch up in the next couple months.
I am listening to
right now and it's really crazy and twisted and interesting. I just finished
which was a nice light read. I will be finishing up
on Kindle then moving on to April....
I finished listening to the third and last book in the Grace Valley series Down by the River by Robyn Carr. I am now listening to Out of Control (Book 4) by Suzanne Brockmann.I am still reading Messenger of Truth by Jacqueline Winspear from March.

I find it rare that the cover matches the description of the characters. It's one of my pet peeves.
Listening to Heaven and Earth by Nora Roberts, reading You Don't Want to Know by Lisa Jackson and Blood Ties by Kay Hooper.
I finished Whatever It Takes by Christy Reece, Grey Justice #2, and enjoyed it. Here's my review.
I'm now reading Wilde at Heart by Tonya Burrows, Wilde Security #3.

I just re-read a book I'd read first in March, 2014:
.It's the first in a series, which I didn't know then, so I am now set to read the second book before I start the group and buddy read books for this month. A very good espionage, Middle East-US setting, with a lot of suspense and history right off the pages. Hard to imagine the author was only about 24 when he wrote this ten years ago!
I finished Wilde at Heart by Tonya Burrows, Wilde Security #3, and here's my review.
I'm now reading Where Serpents Sleep by C.S. Harris, Sebastian St. Cyr #3.
I'm now reading Where Serpents Sleep by C.S. Harris, Sebastian St. Cyr #3.
Finished Listening to
and really enjoyed it. Also finished
. Now I am thinking it is a good day to listen to another in Death book. I am still home sick with a bad case of the flu and thinking Eve and Roarke is just what I need to feel better. The Question is which book do I listen to. I will have to think about it but I might be leaning towards Brotherhood. I always read the books when they first come out and so I haven't had the opportunity to try the audio version yet.
I finished Where Serpents Sleep by C.S. Harris, Sebastian St. Cyr #4, and loved it! Here's my review.
I'm now reading Code of Silence by Marliss Melton, SEAL Team Twelve #7.5.

I finished Code of Silence by Marliss Melton, SEAL Team Twelve #7.5, and it was okay. I wasn't a fan of the heroine in earlier stories and this didn't help. Here's my review.
I'm now reading The Heart of It by Molly O'Keefe. It's a short story that she included in the RAINN anthology and she plans to develop it into a series.

The flu is just awful (don't need to tell you!) and I got a flu shot for the first time this year.
This was the first year I didn't get the shot and it hit me hard. Got my Asthma started which made it worse. So Now I am having to take breathing treatments several times a day. Also on prednisone. I had a steroid shot on Friday when i had my 2nd trip to the doctor.
My Mom is asthmatic and got bronchitis recently. They gave her the same treatment, fortunately catching it before the symptoms showed up (was seeing her pulmonary specialist for something else). Everything aggravates her asthma so I can't even imagine what the flu did to you.
