Just finished reading
Galaxy Games: The Challengers by Greg R. FishboneI loved this book! I think it's a perfect book for kids. Not only is it fun (and funny) but it also presents a wonderful message of peace and tolerance. There's not just aliens but different cultures and ethnic groups, and very strong girl characters! Sure hope he comes out with the followup.
Beware the Dwobleys!

This week I read
Love Irresistibly by Julie James. Another great contemporary romance. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Then I read
Cold Touch by Leslie Parrish. This was a solid paranormal romance/mystery. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Sign me up for the Parrish series!
Just finished reading
and loved it. Loved Jesse Wellington's role in the book and enjoyed reading more about Will. I was glad to hear that Lisa Clark O'Neill does plan on continuing the Sweetwater Series. I love this series almost as much as the Southern Comfort Series. Will be starting
at some point in February.I have just started listening to
and also planning on starting
. That should keep me busy until Tuesday when
and
come out. February is going to be a very busy month of reading.
I am but am feeling a little lost now that i have caught up on the Fatal Series and the Seals Team 12 Series. I am missing them already. Luckily I have enough new titles coming out this month to keep me busy. Not to mention the Kay Hooper series and Julie Garwood series I am reading. Really am enjoying those as well.
Absolutely, even though the first one was a little slow I really enjoyed it and looking forward to reading the next one. I am going to get through Brotherhood in Death and Alone in the Dark first though. I am really looking forward to those two books. Then I will be reading that one after.
Okay...
Have you read Cindy Gerard's three series? Christy Reece's LCR Elite series? Or her Grey Justice series? What about the Delta Crossroads series by Stacy Green?

I have read all of the LCR and LCR Elite series. I have not read the Grey Justice series but it is on my list. I have read Tin Gods by Stacy Green but haven't continued but will eventually. I have Skeleton's Key but just kind of put it on the back burner for now. I have not heard of Cindy Gerard's Three Series.
Ok the Bodyguards series sounds really good. Going to have to try that one. I think I need to try to finish The Bishop/SCU series and the Buchanon Series by Julie Garwood first.
Wanted to get an update in before tomorrow's "Brotherhood" hubbub. Two hospital stays for different reasons (pneumonia, then gall bladder - TMI?) since my last reading update -- but I've obviously had a lot of time to read. Doing fine now.On the Urban Fantasy front:
Biting Bad, Wild Things and Blood Games by Chloe Neill (Chicagoland Vampires #8-10 - a series that gets better with each book)
First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones (Charley Davidson #1 - Liked it a lot; will continue the series)
Grave Witch by Kalayna Price (Alex Craft #1 - haven't seen anyone comment on this series, but #1 was un-put-downable. Binge read on the horizon.)
From the Mystery/Thriller genre:
Last Light: A Beacon Falls Novel, Featuring Lucy Guardino by C.J. Lyons (Beacon Falls/Lucy Guardino #1 - the start of Lucy G. after the FBI. Outstanding as always. New characters, some needing development in the next book, but Lucy is still the k-a heroine from the first series)
To maintain my blood pressure between all the thrillers, read books in CR (won't detail since this isn't a CR blog group):
Fools Gold series by Susan Mallery
Chesapeake Shores series by Sherryl Woods
Pelican Pointe series by Vickie McKeehan
Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shalvis
Cedar Ridge series by Jill Shalvis
Mystic Creek series by Catherine Anderson

Also love the Lucky Harbor series!
Jonetta wrote: "Sign me up for the Parrish series! .."You should definitely check out this series, Jonetta. I think you'll like it. The first one was good, but I really liked this one.
I finished Fatal Frenzy by Marie Force, Fatal #9, and really enjoyed the story, though a tough read at times. Here's my review.
I also finished my review of Thief of Shadows.
I'm now reading Brotherhood in Death by J.D. Robb, In Death #42!

I'm almost through my very first J. D. Robb "In Death" book:
.I'm really glad I talked myself into another series. I've never been attracted to any sort of futuristic novel, but after a couple of chapters, Eve and Roarke gained my attention right away. I have the second book at hand for when I finish the first :-)

Welcome to our world, Charlene. You sure won't regret it.
- YA Dystopian. Gets right into it from page 1. Some are saying just like Hunger Games, I felt there were similarities, but it was not the same story.
started reading Brotherhood In Death. only on chapter2 and already loving it. will also be finishing Chill of Fear hopefully today and then focus fully on Brotherhood
I have been away for a while. Happy to return and see familiar postings. I'm reading "Deadline" by Sandra Brown.

I am more worried that this is too similar to Red Rising by Pierce Brown. But, I'm on hold for the audiobook anyway:)

I thought I'd start right in with the second In Death book,
. This way I should be ready when the discussion is ongoing.I read through a zillion comments on the first book late last night, and found myself commenting at the end about things that were written two weeks ago :(
I finished The Martian by Andy Weir. Really enjoyed it, looking forward to the movie. Now on to Glory in Death! Enjoying my re-read of this series.

I was reading the old in death topics from years ago and commenting after I finished those books last year. Don't feel bad about being 2 weeks 'late'. Life happens!

- one of my favorites of the series!
- YA Fantasy. Heavier on the romance then in book 1. Has romance, action, bit of mystery, magic. The reveals are predictable, but impacting.

Awesome read.....it was a very intense read from beginning to end. didn't want to put it down. these are times I wish I didn't have a full time job lol. the bad part is the next book in the Cincinnati Series won't come out until February 2017

So I am currently listening to
and although I am only 85 pages in I have to say that so far I am a little disappointed. I love the D.D Warren series but this has started out a little on the slow side. Hopefully it will pick up soon. I have also started reading
. This is a very easy read and I am enjoying it so far.
I finished Split Second by Alex Kava, Maggie O'Dell #2, and it was an improvement over the last book. Here's my review.
