That sounds good. I will put it on hold for January.

Either orther, PI's. I'd be up for one for Jan, other for Feb? Up to you guys. ;-)

The Murder of Twelve is unavailable from my library (all copies are out!). It is $7.99 on KIndle, which I can manage if we decide to go that way.

I'll host Jan. if you PI's want esp. if it's for Murder Of Twelve. Not too insistent, huh? lol

I always put it on hold just in case and then sometimes I'm surprised that I get it right before I was about to buy it!

As for library, it doesn't hurt to be put on waiting list and then cancel if mind changes. As you say, sometimes you're surprised and selection comes in before you purchase.

message 1058: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolevickers) | 1814 comments I'll request on my end (Twelve)!

message 1059: by Mark Pghfan (new)

I'll request as well. If it comes in, it comes in! Under new lock down rules, I can just hope for the best.

My book is not scheduled to arrive 'til Jan. 5th. so we all have time. Not just because of my order, but all way 'round. Hope this makes it a little easier to obtain copies. :-)

message 1061: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolevickers) | 1814 comments I've requested my book but my library isn't scheduled to reopen until 1/12. Depending on how far along we are I'll either grab the audio version to start with or just chime in as soon as I get my hands on my copy. :-)

message 1062: by Mark Pghfan (new)

Mark Pghfan | 1939 comments Mod
I don't have any idea of when I'll get the book from the library, so when we are ready to start, I'll get it on Kindle, if necessary. Sound like the rest of you are delayed as well, though...

message 1063: by PugMom (new)

PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments We can put it off another month and find something in the meantime if that's helpful.
I found another one that looks interesting to put on our future TBR list. Has anyone read this? What the Dead Leave Behind (A Gilded Age Mystery #1) by Rosemary Simpson

message 1064: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolevickers) | 1814 comments What if we decide now that Twelve will be our February book? I do want to read it!

Any interest in this one? https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

message 1065: by PugMom (new)

PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments Yes, I definitely want to read it anyway. Doesn't matter when.
That's a good choice, too, Other Nicole!

Okay. I'll look at noted suggestion but I'm sure it's fine. You lot decide. I'll remain host for Feb., MSW Twelve book if someone picks up Jan. selection.

Nicole (nicolevickers) | 1814 comments Tina, I absolutely want to read Twelve!

Same here, Nicole. Let's see what they pick for Jan. I'll cover Twelve in Feb. Or we could start Twelve mid-Jan. Either way is fine.

message 1069: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolevickers) | 1814 comments Mid-January works for me, too. :D

message 1070: by Tina (new)

Tina (tinacz) | 6103 comments Mod
I'm also good w/starting MSW Twelve in mid-Jan. What we could do is check in as book becomes available to all. (Often time lists move along quicker than expected). And then start discussion. Anyone up for that approach?

message 1071: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolevickers) | 1814 comments I'm fine with that but my library definitely will not reopen until the second week. :-)

message 1072: by Tina (new)

Tina (tinacz) | 6103 comments Mod
Purr-fect, Nicole. That would put us in less than 1/2 of Jan. and I thought as this schedule would probably loop into Feb., we could finish Feb. w/a short story and then be back on schedule for March, perhaps with book that was suggested or another.

Sounds intriguing, Nicole. Maybe we can tackle this one say, Jan to Feb or March?

THe Canterfell Codicil is $2.99 on Kindle. I guess I could swing that!

message 1078: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolevickers) | 1814 comments I'd be happy to read again, I really enjoyed it! Very witty and fast-paced. 1928 English countryside. Not one but two locked-room mysteries!

Either, orther, you PI's decide. I'm good either way.

message 1086: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolevickers) | 1814 comments I can go either way, too. How many have Canterfell right now, and how many have Twelve right now. I propose we read both but decide which one to read first based on who has which book. :-)

LOL I think we're split down middle. How 'bout this...we do both? Post both book threads w/intention to read/participate in both. Just jump in where and when we can. Then no one's held up. We can finish Twelve then jump to Canterfell and vice versa for the other. Keep both threads going and wrap both by Feb. end. Then we can sail into March caught up, starting fresh with a new title from start of month.

If no on above, someone post suggestion. We're the PI's. We can figure this out. ;-)

message 1092: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolevickers) | 1814 comments I think that's a great idea, Tina! And if we finish both we can maybe add another shorter book. I'd be happy to start the Canterfell thread - just let me know!

Thanks, Nicole, go ahead and start 'er up. I'll come in w/Twelve thread in a few days. I'll also download a copy of Canterfell so long as we'll be reading/discussing both titles. OK PI's? Thanks, all!
