My two mose recent ones (unread) are The Whole Enchilada (2013) and Fatally Flaky (2009). Either of those work?
Fatally Flaky sounds like it has many yummy elements about it. Also,
there are a few newer Agatha Raisins out and about. Maybe FF for July and a Raisin for August? You PI's decide, I'll go along with ya.
SO is at least walking w/and w/out cane so that's a blessing. Can't wait 'til he's able to drive.
Looks like we're in for either tropical storm or hurricane, Elsa. Send prayers PLZ. This would be the most inopportune time for her it hit. Yikes!

Tina: Wishing you a speedy recovery and safety from the storm.
Everyone: Are we on board for Fatally Flaky for July? I can host if you'd like. And Agatha Raisin for August is fine with me as well.

Thank you, Nicole. All's well so far. Storm looks to be moving a bit west of us and seems to be losing strength. SO is walking 'round house sans cane. Practicing with SUV's pedals. Like learning to walk again. We're getting there. Thanks for the prayers and rah, rahs! Appreciate it!!

Some Flakiness sounds good about now, Pghfan. LOL And thanks for hosting. I'll see about hosting in August. Appreciate the good words; we're progressing nicely. Thanks again for all!

Another title possibility for Aug? MURDER AT THE CASTLE a cozy murder mystery full of twists (Dorothy Martin Mystery)

Chapters 1-11 will be first. The first 100 pages, in my edition. 100 pages each of three sections.
Got my copy, just started it. Nice to visit with an old friend....er, that Goldy's old but um, you know. LOL
Invited a Goodreads' gal, Wendy. We'll see if she joins in.
Wendy, if you're visiting, this is the place. Just look for the Fatally Flaky thread here and join in. Welcome!

LOL Sounds like something I would do. Glad to have the fun company.

Never read this one, PugMom.

Nope, haven't read it but someone mentioned it in a book group. I guess 8 murders in the book were based on well known mystery novels.

If we're reading/discussing in Sept., I'll toss in Down the Hatch, a later Agatha Raisin or Murder At the Castle, a Dorothy Martin mystery. Familiar w/A. Raisin but not Dorothy Martin. Both appear to have earned decent ratings though. Anyone? :-)

I kind of like the idea of the Dorothy Martin book, as it is a new character for us. (I see I can get it free on Kindle Prime!)

Thanx, Pghfan! Or something you PI's are hot on the trail of is fine. Just tossed in those two. But, I noticed that Murder/Castle is widely available as well as many other good titles. I'll see what you all want to do.

I'm in, PI's Pghfan and Nicole. What say you, PugMom? I guess we've a majority but to be fair we'll hear from PM.
Note: There are several books under this title so be sure we all get correct book should we go this way.
Update -- PI's, it appears it's this version:
MURDER AT THE CASTLE a cozy murder mystery full of twists (Dorothy Martin Mystery Book 13) by JEANNE M. DAMS | Mar 22, 2021.

Yes, I noticed there were several books by that name. I'll grab it on KU. I might have to read #1 first but I'll catch up with all of you as soon as possible.

"Bought" Murder/Castle but never received my digital copy and will get w/Amazon again. This has happened before where somehow the copy gets lost in the ether world. Anyhoo, we are on in August w/this tome? If yay, I'll start posting in a few days. Should have my copy by then. See you in August, PI's! Happy New Month to yoooo. (Have your Christmas shopping done yet? The merchants...oh, nevermind. LOL )
Halloween stuff has been in the stores for weeks now. I'm not in the mood yet. And we still have Pumpkin Spice to look forward to!

I know, Pghfan. I think the craze starts w/that Christmas In July thing and takes off from there. We're still roasting in SOFLO and enjoying Star$'s Caramel something or other drink. OMG, don't get hooked on those if you know what's good for you. LOL.
I'm no where in the mood for fall yet but when I am, bring on the Pumpkin Spice!! ;-)

Foodies in The Parlor, anyone know how to bake store bought kale chips? I searched online and only came up w/making them from scratch. So, I got the 350 degrees, olive oil but nothing else. Any spices etc. one can toss on the things? For how long a bake? Thanx!

PugMom wrote: "So you bought them in a bag and want to bake them? Do you just want to make them crispy?"
PugMom, Thanx. In passing, I glimpsed a recipe for baking them drizzled in olive oil and something else but when I went to recapture the info (on smart phone) it flipped to something else. The ads will keep occurring but not material one wants. lol Anyway, I wanted to bake some up w/added flavor.

Got my copy of God Rest Ye, Royal Gentlemen at the ready unless we're discussing the short first? Anyway, I'm good to go with the Rhys Bowen mystery. Hopefully, she stays true to form and delivers with a great holiday whodunit.
Anyone want to host Dec. read? Toss in your take and we'll be ready to go on your clock. If not, I'll start discussion just after Thanksgiving. On the Day if there's time.
