I hope to be back for September's read. Found a couple titles that look good in addition to the one NicoleG posted.
Here's one. Has that old mansion vibe about it.
"Georgie is pulled into a du Maurier-like murder in this all-new installment in the New York Times bestselling Royal Spyness series from Rhys Bowen!"
Going in next week, PI's. I'll let you know how it goes. ;-)

Out after procedure, recouping at home. Will join you as soon as I feel somewhat something again. lol? :-/
Good thing I've some great viewing to keep me from being totally bored. The Alienist, second season is out and aired. Wow! Second season better than first if one can imagine. Based on Caleb something or other's best sellling books. Great cast, not a cozy but has cozy elements about it. Also, Endeavor's new season is out. Loving it. Can't wait 'til I'm feeling whole again but the above is sustaining me.
Hey, PI's Getting through it. You wouldn't believe...well you might. Anyway, I bought copy of new Royal Spyness & if you're up for this title in Sept., I'll be as well. If you've chosen something else, that's okay too.
Stranger than fiction & all in a few weeks: Car's power steering needed repairing, washer died, hospital lost my co-pay & was calling for $ while I was in hospital (waiting on hard copy from bank to send to hospital as printer doesn't work. Of course). You'd think cameras show I was there paying on something (hospital won't let you in unless you've appt. for pre-screening, payment), procedure, then recovery worse than--, bronchitis in hospital; had to immediately go on antibiotics to keep from going deep in lungs, bank account hacked...they're seeing if I get $ returned to acct., AC just went yesterday & needed repairs. YIKES! No, none of this is made up. Unbelievable but true! Now to catch up.
Photo shoot I'm s'pose to be scouting locations, costumes to order, permits, insurance, photog coming in from out of state, first time hiring from a talent agency, contracts, etc. Would love to move this to Oct. (did not anticipate all the hoo-ha) but things are locking in for Sept. Nothing a good lotto win wouldn't help fix. lo?l

Wow! A perfect storm, indeed!
I'm fine with the Spyness. What is the title and I'll try to locate it.

Thank you, Pghfan. Appreciate you and the PI's keeping the shop open and well maintained.

So glad you're able to join, Pghfan. I felt bad-- But Nicole saves the day...er, discussion.
No hurry catching up, Mark. Actually, you may surpass me. ;-) Enjoy the read. It's a good one...IMHO.

New movie? Do tell, NicoleG. Is it a 2019-20? The last one I've seen had Diana Rigg, Charles Dance (I believe) and Darcy's charge, actress from P & Prej. If there's a more recent adaptation, I want in. lol
A read & discuss of Rebecca would be fine IMHO.

OH, I need to find the version with Diana Rigg. Didn't she recently pass away?

You probably can unless it's a Netflix only movie. Or you can get a free trial!
Gang, just seen AT&T guy out for we had problems with our phone/internet etc. He tells me they're doing away with Dish and Cable and replacing them with app. Great! I down-loaded just one app and now get a deluge of ads. I can imagine what it'll be like on TV. Nice when you're trying to read something important and ads start flying around your material. I don't look forward to 5G and wonder if all companies are going to this? Even if it's off in the distance a while, I'd buy that time.
Any of you gone 5G? Do tell.

Hello, Fairlee!
We are a small but active group. Typically we discuss a book a month.
Welcome aboard!

Hmmm? Sounds great, Nicole. Will have to investigate that one. Thanks! ;-)

New mystery coming in Jan 2021 (think it's on pbs). Miss Scarlet mysteries. I don't know if it's a mini-series or six individual mysteries? Wonder if it's based on the mystery we read here at The Parlor. Anyone know? Anyway, it looks good!
PI's, all to be well that ends well. :-) Had more tests and will be going in for more medical attention. Thankfully, not the real intense situation that was a possibility but something a bit...much less in my estimation. Anyway, I will be here and probably will have more re-coop read time. Please send healing prayers, and healthy wishes my way. I'll keep you posted. Meantime, on with Qwill and his mystery.
Tina, I'm so happy things are going well. I'm finding (or rather the doctor's are) more and more things wrong, now that I am a senior citizen!

For sure, Pghfan. It seems as little as a year ago, there were one or two doc trips a year. Now it's seems there's something going on on a monthly basis.

I'm a huge fan of Wodehouse as well as Christie (duh, obviously), and at $2.99 on kindle, I would be totally up for the book to discuss!
Speaking of titles, I'd love to consider this one again (suggested for an after Christmas winter read), The Murder of Twelve A Jessica Fletcher mystery. I'll toss this one in for Jan.
