This is a brand new book and pretty pricey on Kindle. I requested it from the library, but there are 10 people ahead of me!

The cupcakes, Nicole? I'd still find them! lol

Does your library have Hoopla? The audiobook and ebook are up on there and there's no wait!

It's all online Mark - if you go to hoopladigital.com (I think!) you can see if your library participates. :-)
Our library participates. I have to get an app, which will have to be on my Amazon Fire, and give it a try.

I have the app on my Fire and it's great.

Hey, gang, I take it we've chosen Irish Parade for March? Do tell. ;-)

Off topic topic: Are you PI's having luck getting the Covid vaccine? When the hospital had reserves, I was dealing with other health thingie and couldn't take it. Now that I can partake, they're out of vaccines. WT Heck?

Only if everyone is able to get it. If not, we can look for something else.

I am eligible but it's pretty difficult to get an appointment where I live. I can't spend all day on the computer trying to get an appointment while I'm at work.
Nicole wrote: "Tina, I had my first dose of Moderna this morning. I work for a school so was eligible. Arm is sore, but that seems to be it right now."
Lucky you, Nicole. I'm high risk and cannot find a vaccination anywhere! Scary stuff!

Exactly, PugMom! I've called doctors, pharms, our local grocery chain etc and they are all on suspended status. The hospital where I was treated had them but ran out. Now they can't even get them. Then you hear stories where they found 30,000 vials etc. but were let to expire and got thrown away. Sad.

I got my Moderna vax Wednesday. It is dreadfully hard to find an appointment here in PA, though. A friend has some secret way to find things and got me one, though I had to drive 85 miles to get there! Some people are driving even further!

A miracle has just occurred. Your humble servant managed to not only load the Hoopladigital app on my Amazon Fire (which I seldom use), but I managed to download The Irish Parade Murder correctly.
I always feel a miracle has occurred when I successfully manage some new computer thing.
I have it for 21 days.

We never doubted you could do it, Mark!!! :-)

Great! I'll start us off with the first section unless someone else want s to host.

Purr-fect, Pghfan. I think finding The Holy Grail is taking less effort.

Same here, Pghfan. Putting out fires: three days w/out computer. Tech took two days to go through many scans, repair programs all the while it was freezing us out. It's under a temp fix -- I need a new computer. Then my Drvr. Lic is expiring so I have to drive miles away to do a seven year renewal. Went for my annual eye exam and thankfully, I passed and doc gave me an approval slip. But, I still have to go to bureau in person. And no luck on Covid Vaccine yet. Does it ever end? Not in this lifetime. :-/

Johnson & Johnson is a one shot but I understand only 68% effective. I guess there will be boosters later. They say this will be an annual thing, like the flu. Nice. :-(

Whooppee. Trying to ditch old files, clean computer some. I had to buy new one and don't want to drag much of this baggage onto new machine. Yikes! Anyway, I'm still kickin'!
PI's, still dumping old files off my old 'puter while it still runs. Q for you all: those of you who moved from Windows 7 to 10 (yikes), how did you handle transferring old material to new 'puter? As many things are different (guess the only things that transfer from old machine to new are e-mail act(s). All else has to be technically moved -- loaded onto external hard drive then down/upload/transf'd to new machine. How did you all do that?
I was told by techie that I'd have to leave my old tower at the Office Depot store and they'd do it on their own time. I asked why I couldn't make an actual appt. and sit w/tech while he/she did this? I don't want to leave old' puter/material unattended by me as I've much important, personal data, info, scripts etc. Any feedback would be appreciated!

Thought about watching/discussing a movie mystery in April. For some reason I've been wanting to revisit Poirot Clapham Cook instead of a book read/discuss. Just something different for April then go back to a title read in May. Anyone? If no, okay and let's post a few titles and pick something for April's read. What say you PI's?
Nicole wrote: "The very first episode?!? I am certainly up for that!!!"
Same here, Nicole. Just thought with the plethora of new shows out there, I thought mystery lovers may be losing touch with the more vintage fare. I love the new stuff but miss the roadster era of whodunits. Enter David Suchet's Poirot and Hickson's Miss Marple. ;-)
Okay, we have two!

PugMom, if you've any HP DVD's in your movie collection, you might find Clapham Cook in Collection Set # 9. Or you frequent local library, they might have copies. Good ol' vintage HP is hard to find these days. :-(

I am totally up for a Poirot DVD discussion. That might (just, might) help me get caught up on other reading during April!

None right not except for Netflix. I was going to start BritBox again next week during my vacation.
PugMom wrote: "I don’t have any DVDs. I usually borrow them from the library but we haven’t had a DVD player in years. I’ll look on YouTube again since I found some videos there last time."
PugMom, I'm such a fossil still with a DVD player. I just love DVD's to pieces. Even with my music, I still favor CD's over old (cassettes, 8-tracks) or new means.

Purr-fect, Pghfan. And I thought we can follow along via movie (and) or book. Yes, it'll give PI's a chance to catch up on things. I've just got my tax compiling down and have to meet w/preparer and get Covid vax. I've appts. with both. Plus, I'm celebrating my birthday and must take time off for that. LOL
