The Secret Garden w/e 5/9
The Blue Cross w/e 5/16
The Purple Wig w/e 5/23
The Eye of Apollo w/e 5/30
Let's just discuss the entire short story at once - will that work?
Hey PI's, popping in. Hope this finds you well, having survived the worst of the plague. So far, so good here.
To the chase, have you selected June title yet? If so, I'll check out what you got going. If no, Q du jour: are there any (promising) titles you haven't read but want to? In one of my newsletters, I heard of (many titles, actually, but--) a great sounding MSW but unfortunately it's winter themed; preceding it was Manuscript for Murder. (Anyone read it)? Not sure if it's fall themed but it seemed to suggest reading Manuscript before the winter title. I'm only noting this one as MSW often seemed a solid enough read that came through for the reader. Tired of sloughing through or not finishing books because-- That was one of my frustrations and I think you lot felt similar.
Anyway, I haven't picked up a novel for several weeks (read magazines, manuals etc). I was just burnt out on them. I did, however, get to binge watch stuff and luckily found some good material during quarantine. Anyone catch Belgravia? Great mini-series. The new Emma was good etc.
Anyway, I'll see what's going on and go from there. Feel free to discuss among us. A good thing. ;-)

No June title--I thought you'd might want to suggest something since you've been away for a little bit!
I don't have any but the basic TV service now, so I've not seen the things you mention. I tell myself I need to expand my TV choices, but don't seem to be getting around to it.
I'm not sure what MSW is...

I've been thinking of a June title. I don't know abut where you are, but the libraries are still closed where I am at. Just recently, they are beginning taking email requests for books in our large library system, though I don't know how long that sort of thing takes.
One thought is that we could read The Mysterious Affair at Styles, in honor of its 100th anniversary. It is in the mystery package most of us got on our Kindle.
Of course, if there is another recommendation, which is available on Kindle, we could forego the library one more month. (I hope by then, our libraries will be open somewhat.

Oh, sorry. MSW - Murder She Wrote, Pghfan.

No, don't have BritBox, darn. :-/ But I have an upgraded cable subscription.

Nicole, sounds good as I thought waiting for Nov/Dec was just too long a wait. lol As for Manuscript/Murder, it didn't get a bad rating, just not a great rating so jury's out on that one.

I love all the Jessica books, I'm sure it's fine! :D
Styles would be okay if we can do an open discussion? That's about the best I can do for right now.
MSW winter title would work for July. Let me know about the above and I'll get Styles for June.

I can host Styles, if you'd like. Open discussion is fine with me. (I assume this means not in different parts and spoilers included.)

Are we going ahead with the Murder She Wrote book for July? Manuscript for Murder? If so, I'll try to get it from the library, since we are partially open.
Manuscript for Murder predates Murder of 12--a winter themed book in the series. I'd be up for either. I'll wait to see what you PI's pick and will order my copy. :-)
Manuscript for Murder is available from my library while Murder of Twelve is not and has a substantial wait list.
I'm good with Manuscript. Maybe save Murder/12 for later in year.
Okay, I'll get my copy. Thanks, PI's!
I'll host (I'm sure you lot have had your fill) with our traditional breakdown of chapters. More on that later.

Thanks for your kindness at this challenging time. It was so good of you to offer a word of support. Getting through stuff.

Got my copy at Barnes and Noble. Unfortunately, my library can't get books for me other than what they have themselves. The interlibrary system is still not in place. I see Murder of 12 is very recent and only in hardback now anyway.
Bought mine also, Pghfan. So far it seems worth the price.
Let me know when everyone has their copy. Maybe we could start chat at week's end. Let me know if that'll work for everyone.

Chapter count 1 through 9 which takes us to pg. 101. I'll save last 28 & 29 for 4th week reveal.

I guess you all remember that I was teaching some mystery classes in a local life-long learning program here in Pittsburgh. With the onset of COvid-19, they were cut short, and in-person classes are still suspended at least through the summer. As a result I am teaching my class "Golden Age Mystery Writers" starting next Tuesday, via Zoom. There are 60 people signed up (yikes!). I am not especially confident in doing the hosting and teaching on Zoom, but I'm giving it a try. Wish me luck!

That's great, Pghfan! I don't Zoom or Skype unless they've an image-free 'puter or phone option (they're out there in limited areas) but heck, this could open up a whole new realm and audience for you. You'll be Great!
