Oh, thanks! I'll definitely check it out. So far we're planning on a ghost tour and afternoon tea! This is a girls' trip with a longtime friend. :-)

Woman In the Window is being film adapted. Reminds me of Girl On the Train. How many read the book? I started the sample and it seemed good but I never got a chance to read the whole novel. I believe it's in paperback now.

I'd like to read it but not if movie's coming out soon. Rather not know ending of the story/film. When it comes out, anyone going to see it?

Recently caught The Happy Prince with Rupert Everette (spl?) and Emily Watson. Good movie!!

Pghfan, PI's recently posted re: TV service. What did you decide on? Or are you still up in air about it?

Anyone have cable from computer to TV screen? Haven't done anything about it here. Still trying to decide what browser to go with. Was hoping for the new Edge to be released but then I hear it won't work with 7 and 8. One source said it would, another that it won't. To harken back to the days when one just plugged in TV and watched. Seemed there was enough material back then. Now we have 300+ channels, sources and there's still nothing to watch. LOL

I haven't decided. The whole thing is just so complicated, that I haven't had time to devote to all the research I need.

I know that some of you watch Hallmark Mysteries. Is there much stull there of interest?

Garage Sale Mysteries, which were my faves, are gone. The new Chronicle Mysteries are pretty good. I didn't care for Murder 101. There are new Hailey Dean, Morning Show and Aurora Teagarden mysteries coming soon - those were pretty good so I'm looking forward to them. :-)

It is confusing, Pghfan. As for TV, we got AT&T dish and in one way loathe it, the other, love it. Seems more hard-to-find material is available but on other hand, the slightest wind, rain, storm and it gets knocked out for awhile or pixelates material one's viewing or records. Forget cables, streaming etc. I guess one needs cable or the like to use Netflix...which is again increasing fees. Yikes!

Lots, Pghfan! They seem quite a TV movie industry which is great. A whole network of fare we PI's are more likely to watch. We don't have to scroll through all the other networks for something to enjoy. Thankfully, Hallmark got it! ;-)

Nicole, I didn't care for 101 pilot either but will give it one more chance to see if they get it. Chronicle is good, I like Teagarden and too bad about Garage Sale. I loved her sidekick too, and to see she won't be on anymore is sad. They should give sidekick her own show. Like take over Garage series.

PI's, that French Agatha Christie series is a hoot! I just started on recording of their version of A Murder Is Announced! No Miss Marple but a French police inspector and his blonde secretary and reporter partner in crime. It's good. (Wonder if it's available on YouTube or similar)? Catch it if you can. Subtitles aren't much to keep up with. I usually use captions on much of the stuff I watch anymore anyway esp. with accented work.

Can't recall. I'll pay more attention next time it's on, Nicole. I just finished my last recording last night. The thumbnail photo in lineup is of Poirot. A Murder Is Announced! was the last show in what seems to be a series (same characters).

Group hug, PLZ. :-( Embarked on my internet adventure 15+ years ago when I finally set my Brother Data Processor aside and got into boxed, first computer. Since then I'd only one IP/browser - Internet Explorer/Microsoft. Recently, got word that IE was going away and that I needed to change to another browser STAT. That was about three weeks ago. But the winds of change had blown hints that it was time. Websites buffered way too long, some closed completely and I finally had to face the inevitable and make the change. That was today. It was like an old friend died. Add to that having to learn the thing which I haven't done yet, I was lucky to get e-mails, Goodreads etc. So, here I am sad - lonely for my IE! I hold onto the thought that eventually the new Edge will release and I'll be able to go back somewhat. That's if new Edge will accommodate 7 and 8. Anyone else have to make the change? However did you survive?

I hate change! lol Especially from something that was good, familiar etc.

I use explorer but didn't get a message it is going away. I get messages to use Edge, and also Chrome. I use Firebox as a back-up some times. I can't say I'm particularly attached to any of them!

The only thing that comes to mind that I really like and newer things don't work well, is my family history program, Family Tree Maker. I use a very old version that isn't even compatible on my current laptop. (I keep an old laptop which I now only use with this old program.) I guess sometime, something will need to change, but I'm afraid I won't be happy about it!

Exactly, Nicole! We kept those things because they worked, we liked them. So, same w/recent washing machine purchase. Blech! Takes longer, can't stop a load mid-cycle to adjust things, low water level or else way too high. Have to add my own water. Progress use to mean improvement. Not so much lately!!

That's similar to what happened here, Pghfan. As for my IE, I didn't change to 10 so maybe that's part of problem. You might have a newer program on your device. The new Edge is s'pose to be releasing soon so I'd wait for that one but after BETA for we guinea pigs (customers) are those who have to endure bugs so techs can work them out. I'd wait for the new Edge to get kinks out before downloading it.

I'll see if the new Edge will even handle 7 and 8 before I go w/it. It may not even work on my platform. And eventually 7 and 8 will be extinct and I'll be forced to go w/10...which I'm not hearing good things about. A whole new changeover from what we oldies are use to. Progress??

Thanks, PI's!!

It's weird because it lists as Agatha Christie Murder Games with a thumbnail photo of Suchet's Poirot though no HP's are in it, it does remake Marples and Poirot stories. Last night was their adaptation of Johnny Waverly w/totally different title yet based on JW.

Hooked on this series even if in French. Subtitles easy enough to keep up with. Finding it on our AT&T Dish subscription if that helps any.

Nicole, yes, that's it! Confusing as it comes in under different heading/title but on show itself, it airs as Les Petits Meurtres D'Agatha Christie. Last night was Pale Horse. Are you watching? If so, do you like it? If not, try to start series at beginning. I missed first eppy...Arrr-rr. Hope it airs again. I'm loving this series!!
