Mostly I was feeling bad because I wasn't getting very much sleep.Janet: Nah. 20 yrs. doesn't deserve a medal. I know a couple been married 60 years! They deserve the medal! *wink*
Yeah it is an achievement. They are members of a church I prefer over the Cathedral of St. Peter's given the way the Church of Rome treats women... .
Happy Anniversary! I will hit 19 years this coming Thanksgiving Monday. It seemed like such an awesome idea to marry at Thanksgiving. At the time I cried about the correlation to being thankful for my new husband and thankful for my wonderful friends and family who could be in attendance on this day "of giving thanks". Now we giggle that we will NEVER celebrate alone.
I hope you 2 have another 29 years together. Enjoy your day!
Brenda wrote: "I've been MIA for a few days. My mother fell and broke her hip last Friday. I've been traveling back and forth to the hospital with my father. Yesterday, she was transferred to a rehabilitation ..."sorry to hear about your mum hope she is on the mend.

its almost time for my wee holiday and I cant wait :) still training hard with crossfit although I have given up playing hockey. thoroughly enjoying all the rugby on the tv at the mo.
Thank you, Sharon! She's doing so well, they said she could get out of bed on her own and walk around with her walker alone! Except at night.
Congrats, Janet, to you and your hubby. 20 years IS an accomplishment in this day and age! My parents were married for 61 years. Sadly, my mom passed away last November, or they would still be going strong.
@Brenda, so glad your Mom is doing so well considering the nature of her injury. I've been there with my mom breaking her hip in 2012. PM me if you ever want to talk.@Sean, yay that you are doing better. Now quit getting sick!
@Kerry, XOXO.
@Janet, congratulations on your 20th anniversary. That is a tremendous accomplishment these days. I will recommend you for a medal!
Brenda, sorry, I missed your post about your mom. Hope she's able to heal quickly. That's a tough deal on elderly folks, so best wishes for her.
Sean, since you're going back to work, I take it you have healed. Good for you. I'm still coughing out the tail-end residuals. I hope your wife is better, also.congratulations to everyone who's celebrating something.
Happy anniversary Janet! Glad to hear you are feeling better Sean.
You ok Kerry? It's been a couple of days since you've been back....
Brenda, I hope your mom feels better soon.Sean, get some rest and stay healthy.

I think I'm developing a cold. I've been sneezing up a storm all day. Achoo!
I had a dilated eye exam yesterday and my eyes didn't get back to normal until almost 3 PM.Listening to ALICE COOPER & SLASH (Vengeance Is Mine): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_ZRW...

Yikes, sounds awful. Get well soon.
Just spent 3 hrs cleaning my home office, so I have a place to store my books upstairs that I have not read. What a job! 2 Garbage bags later...
I've been trailing around town with my older two girls, shopping. Totally shattered now.
Don't envy you, Sue, but it sounds like a job well worth doing.
I was actually restrained today. I browsed books didn't buy any. Just some great bargains for my niece. Children's books. :-)

SEAN, I know how you feel. Like I said before, I thought I was dying of lung cancer. But since you're taking steroids, that's sounds serious. And your poor wife!!!Stay in, do not go outdoors, especially in the rain or at night, you could have setbacks like I did. I got bronchitis in August, it's now October and while it's fading away, I'm still dealing with it. Tell your wife I hope she gets better.
FAOUZIA, wow, what an adventure. All the best!!
SUE, I'm just going to ask...how many books haven't you read yet that you have store them in their own place?
2 more sleeps :) 1 more day of work and 1 more crossfit workout last visit to library done for 2 weeks
trying to think if I have done everything I need to lol

I have about 200 books in my office in paperback/hardback to read and 200 on my Kindle.
Good news! My mother was informed today that she can go home on Friday! She's doing really well. I watched her walk with a cane today, and walk up and down two steps. Practicing!
Brenda wrote: "Good news! My mother was informed today that she can go home on Friday! She's doing really well. I watched her walk with a cane today, and walk up and down two steps. Practicing!"Great news Brenda. Bless her heart!
Brenda, glad to hear your mum is doing so well : )Amber, I have Holmes-Adies pupil which means one of my pupils is always more dilated and doesn't react normally. It can be pretty uncomfortable. I have to wear sunglassrs a lot. I don't have reflexes either, pretty weird!
Sean, sorry to hear you're so unwell. One of my sisters has been ill with a similar thing for months and is continually on different meds to try and crack it. Sounds like you just need to give in and rest.
Oh My Goodness, SUE. Then you'd better get started:) I'd love to see that room. I bet it's like walking into a library. That's good news, Brenda.

Yes, Groovy. And in our finished basement there are finished bookcases filled with books I have won, bought but read, approx 550.That is my next job to sort all the books based on author's name. I also have 4 cartons of read books( that I will not keep) to take to the hospitals, library or somewhere.
Sue
@Sean - wishing you the best. I am also on steroids for my asthma, the side effects are terrible but ar least I can comfortably breath.@Faouzia - how wonderful! Enjoy Germany and your studies. So many new experiences.
@Kimberley - glad to have you back whenever you can check in.
@Sue - go get 'em girl!!!
@Brenda - to your Mom, also, go get 'em girl!!
Sean I'm sorry you're not doing too well again :/ just keep hydrated and rest up. And please keep an eye on your sugars. You know how weird they can be when you're ill. Brenda I'm so glad your mum is coming home! Happy face :)

Brenda, all the best to your mum.
My mum had a bad time recently, and is 87 years old, in hospital for over a week, but back in her old people home, in a new room and happier.
Back to work next Monday, after 3 weeks off, blood sugars getting a little better, after my battle with the bronchitis and pneumonia, which is horrible, and frightening, exhausting.
