That's the first I've heard of it! "
Well, yeah, but I didn't want to make everyone else jealous!
Am delighted to be included in your invitation, but the question begs to be asked-when's the party??
Now that I let you all in with me, I think the party's started already, don't you?

I'm presuming you accompanied her on this mission......yet,for some strange reason, you seem surprised at her recent discoveries!

Jeanne-183? Wow!!! If you've followed the earlier posts, congrats,as you are now in possession of a set of keys to Pemberley!!

Sometimes a person has to get up and stretch their legs and I have read so much about these old manors having passageways my curiosity would not be calmed. There was this draft of air not coming from the windows yet it whispered across my ankles and I had to determine from whence it came. Can thou blame me?

I'd like to thank all my fellow explorers and readers that have assembled in this magnificent structure we call the library. To my... oh, wait... this isn't an Oscar.

Those last several...The Shack was so powerful for me I had to buy a copy for each of my adult children. I have not read 180, 181, 182 so will have to check them out.

Lady Pirate is a hoot. She has the best crew ever, I laughed my head off. There were slips and misses in the story line but, I couldn't help but love these guys. When they dressed up... what a scream.
Fervant is also powerful in its own way.
The Shack: I bought dozens and gave them to all my friends. I have to re-read it every once in a while. I always start when he is leaving the old shack and suddenly feels warm air blowing. That is where I start. Powerful...man...powerful.

I had a recommendation for me today for one which has 77 chapters with one last one not yet posted: Mr. Darcy's Child Bride...can you imagine? The reader states it is her favorite.
Regina Jeffers just posted comments about the age at which you could marry or your parents could commit you to marriage in old England.

It is quite a large library two stories high with shelves extending towards the center and nooks and crannies where you can sit in comfort to read. I was not going to disturb her as her nose seemed glued to the page.

You are busy. It seems you will be busy for a while.
I did read Jeffers' comments on early marriage and resisted commenting. I was trying to avoid the kick-back comments about my being from KY. However, my mother married at age 15, if you can believe it. She looked 21 in their wedding pictures. It is hard to believe she was so young. In all fairness, in the 40's age 15 was a very mature person than what we have today.
I looked at my 15-year-old students and shook my head. No comparison.

Jeanne, with all the silliness associated with the Pemberley Library, I forgot to congratulate you on earning your own set of keys. BTW, no secret passages here, regardless of what trouble Sheila and Mary try to stir up. Just lots of cozy reading spots with lots and LOTS of books!
You gals are a scream. I love reading your antics as you rattle around Pemberley and it's library.
Way to go, Jeanne, on your latest batch that threw open the doors and let you race in. :)

Perfect answer, Sheila!

Wait...175 is the number to hit for entrance to the Pemberley library? I apparently missed that part of the discussion. Gotta get back to reading. I've got another 50 to go, but with Pemberley in my sights and so many intriguing books on my list, I can't exactly complain, haha!

Hilarious!!! What a delightful way to start the day with a smile on my face after reading such comments!!! Oh! I'm beginning to think that sleep is overrated in its usefulness !!

So much hidden innuendo in that statement,
that neither confirms or denies anything, thus we are none the wiser!! Intriguing,to say the least!!! Me thinks the lady doth say a lot while saying naught!!!
