So now you are stuck between a dinosaur and a penguin :-)"
Hahah yeah. I think I am going to go with dinosaurs. The Lost World is free for Kindle, so that's what I will be reading next...

I still didn't rate my books (I like to give them time to settle), but I am not sure I will give any of them 5 stars Maybe only to A Darker Shade of Magic. It was the best of the bunch. Very nice fantasy novel, reminded me of Neverwhere.

Portrait in Sepia by Isabel Allende
Works for Gannicus Goal: Read a book by an author born in South America.

Winter's Tale by Mark Helprin
Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee
Whitethorn Woods
I've enjoyed much of what I have read, but these are the three which jump to mind without looking too closely at my list. :)

I had to laugh a little on page 109 "It could be the Penguin. I think we'll be able to round him up. He's dressed like a penguin." And then on page 118, "Maybe comets killed the dinosaurs, maybe they tripped and fell."
What are the odds that they would both be mentioned in the same book?

- Read a book whose author (first or last) starts with I [Deedee]
- Read a book that has a number in the title with a series number one higher than that number [Sonia]
-Read a book with a colon : in the title

Casually I've just checked out Fall of Giants by Ken Follett from the library. But it might take me awhile to finish it (999 pages!) so feel free to leave that goal open to anyone who can cover it quicker than me.

Still better goal than the penguin one... :/

*gasps*"
I like penguins, but finding a book with one... I searched trough my Kindle and got a lot of results. Turned out that all of them were published by Penguin or word penguin was used in metaphor or a joke. No live penguins in more than 300 books. :/

Well... Let me check with the other mods if I can bend it a little.
Since it's my goal I should be allowed, but who knows :)

I'm almost finished with Half a King. The main character's father is named Uthrik, and his uncle's name is Uthil. It's epic fantasy, so yeah, Uthrik and Uthil are the character's first name.

Cool. That is very good.

I don't mind cozies... I'm wondering if reading out of order will be bad though...

I feel terrible that I haven't finished a book yet this week, one of my co-workers had a minor accident over the weekend and has been out all week, which really threw off the schedule and I've had to pick up some of the slack. 10 hour days are not conducive to reading. :(
I should be finished Wild Rover No More in the next day or so, I have a little more than one commutes worth of listening. My copy of The Book of Speculation is due back to the library on Friday so I'll be finishing that too, one way or another.
I'm hoping to get some quiet reading time in over the weekend, we shall see!

That and Eni's little girl's birthday reduced my reading time and improved my ubber tired state.
I'm reserving big hopes for the weekend... Let's see.

My next audio book for my commute is You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost) by Felicia Day. It's only 6 hours so I should be done with it fairly quickly if no one reads an F author by then.

I'm going to read The Happiness Project: Or, Why I Spent a Year Trying to Sing in the Morning, Clean My Closets, Fight Right, Read Aristotle, and Generally Have More Fun by Gretchen Rubin.
Shelved as Spirituality by 26 people.

I think it must be listed on the main book page of Goodreads Sara, but maybe I am wrong and they meant first genre page...

I was wondering the same Dragana, so I firstly checked another group which had the same task. They used a book tagged with Spirituality not on its main GR page but on the first GR genre page, so I thought it was okay. Hope I did no wrong! ;)

I think it's the first genre page. At least that's how I'm doing it.

So, does my book qualify for the goal according to you Sonia?
