HomeInMyShoes What is wrong with the world?

Height: 25.3 inches
Length: 5 feet 1 inch
Width: 28½ inches

I'm annoyed enough that I'm on a Canadian site and working in inches, but that is Canada's fault, not Lowe's. What is Lowe's fault is the wonderful three options of displaying dimensions. Wouldn't 61" x 28.5" x 25.3 inches work? Why do I need to convert to feet for two of the dimensions, but not the third. CONSISTENCY! My kingdom for consistency!

HomeInMyShoes What irks me is something that should really be a number for comparison and search reasons is a string. Information Architecture fail on so many counts.

Jackie (thenightowl) Anyone here play on Xbox One? I'm new to gaming and have been playing here and there with my boyfriend. Right now, I'm into Neverwinter but he's not playing yet so I need friends. lol.

Nope, I have a Playstation (well, hubby does).

DoodlePanda | 506 comments I have PS3, Xbox360 and a Wii, but haven't invested in any of the newer consoles yet... I've started gaming more on the PC now :)

Dawn (breakofdawn) | 860 comments We have an Xbox One, but I don't use it much. I play FF Type 0 and used to play Minecraft, but that's all. J playing Destiny all of the time so I usually just read and try to block it out :)

message 2914: by Dawn, Dawnerys, Mother of Modding (new)

Dawn (breakofdawn) | 860 comments Also, I totally just cheated on my diet and ate a full size Snickers bar. I worked the calories into the plan, but nutritionally it's definitely not in the plan. It was glorious. I haven't eaten a full candy bar in.. I have no idea how long. Years and years and years. It was so good and every time I took a bite there was another bite waiting, unlike those stupid fun size ones. Of course I had to cheat on my last day on Insanity Max 30 and screw up my weigh in tomorrow.. But whatever. I'll just work out harder tonight to make up for it. I regret nothing!!

I have the same ones, except I have the WiiU. I have not been gaming on the computer. I find that usually whenever I start playing a game, I lose whole months of my life to them. Never to be seen again. So I try not to.

message 2916: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I have the boyfriend's WiiU. He also plays Destiny, Halo and all those others. I haven't been able to get into first person perspective yet. I tried Halo with him, but we were on the same screen and I found it overwhelming and haven't gotten back to it. I have a hard time controlling the camera and make myself dizzy. LOL.

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) | 2976 comments We have a Wii that we never use. Jer mostly plays the Playstations 3 & 4 - if not PC.

I kinda wanna get the Xbox for some of the motion games, but I figure it'll most likely languish like the Wii after a short while...

Dawn (breakofdawn) | 860 comments I bought the dance game for XBox One. Super fun for like two days, but I haven't played it since. I also bought Zumba but only played it a few times. Should have rented it!

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 5312 comments I love the free games that came with the Wii. My favorite is the shooting game that came with the Wii gun.

message 2920: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Colleen, I did the same thing with the original Wii I brought a few years ago. I played with it for a few months and then it gathered dust. I did like the Wii Fit games though.

I'm considering getting an Xbox One, but more for the apps than for the games. I want to cut the cord and I like that all the TV apps are available in one place plus there is the added bonus of gaming, if I choose.

message 2921: by Dawn, Dawnerys, Mother of Modding (new)

Dawn (breakofdawn) | 860 comments I do use the Xbox One every day for pretty much all TV related things.. Voice commands to turn everything on or off or change the channel even sometimes.. Netflix and Amazon Prime.. But I could do all of that with a remote / my actual TV, I'm just lazy.

That's why I like the PS3. It's got my Netflix, Amazon Prime, Youtube, etc, and I don't have to pay Microsoft to use them like the 360 made my mom do (and was the reason she got rid of the 360 to us and switched to a Roku).

I've used the voice commands, but it's a hit or miss for me. Whenever I say "Xbox Pause" it usually things I'm saying "Xbox Off". Sometimes I get lucky and it actually turns on when I tell it too. :)

The only Funkos I have are Daenerys and Dancing Groot (#65). The other Game of Thrones related ones come from the mystery boxes. I love those little boxes! So far I have mini Danys, Rhaegal, Arya and Ghost.

Yay - I'm excited for HP and Doctor Who - though I won't be getting all the Whos...

But, yeah, I've totally run out of places to put things. I need to get shelves for my cube at work or something.
