You know what looks delicious? This: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/foo...I'm going to make this one day but modify it with bone-in.
Colleen wrote: "I'll take the insides, but I'm not a fan of pot pie..."love pot pie!
Hubby told me he's not a fan of pot pie either but...
I hadn't had pot pie in like... 15 years? And then I had it recently at a pizza & pasta place, and it was amazing. So good. :D
Becky wrote: "I hadn't had pot pie in like... 15 years? And then I had it recently at a pizza & pasta place, and it was amazing. So good. :D"That's how good pot pies are supposed to taste.
Boston Market chicken pot pie... So good. Haven't made a homemade one in forever, can't get past how bad it is for me... I need to save up calories for a rainy day and splurge though...
Becky wrote: "I'm in a crappy mood today. I just want to go back to bed and try again tomorrow."(((HUGS))) I so understand how you feel.. it will get better.
I stayed in bed till 10:30 and just recently got showered started. My daughter said I got up at the crack of mid-morning.

(((HUGS))) and get well wishes to you too, hon. :(
Hi MrsJ...I was commiserating. I know the feeling. Eat some sugar and then kick something, something soft so you don't hurt your toe.
Mondays do suck. I've been so sleepy. Then again, I always am after we had the granbaby all weekend..

hah. That's happy sleepiness, lol.
Ok, random thing that really bothers me.I play basketball twice a week to get some exercise and I've noticed something. Men are VERY competitive. (I know, big surprise right?) They get SO INTO everything, every game. I don't really care to win or not, although that's always nice.
I guess I just don't understand the mindset of "must win this casual basketball game at all cost". I like to win things too every now and again, but I don't play to win, I just play for the exercise and to meet new people. The meeting new people thing doesn't really work though, since I have found that the guys who like to play basketball aren't usually your talkative types.
Well, some people see no point in playing if you don't play to win. They equate it with playing at your best. You may not share the mind set but maybe understand it. I was never into team sports but get the attitude even if I don't always share it.
That's probably the one downside to being an avid reader. I'm not naturally reclusive, even though I do a good job at it. But my interests are generally completely different than the vast majority of my peers, so I have little in common with them. Not to mention that a good portion of the people that share my interests do it within the bounds of their own homes, so making real life friendships is difficult.

If I catch your innuendo correctly, that would mean a smut group read lol. Although I guess there are a few fantasy books that might straddle that line.
The Vince Lombardi quote "show me a good loser and i'll show you a loser" immediately came to my mind when reading this :)
Gerard wrote: "The Vince Lombardi quote "show me a good loser and i'll show you a loser" immediately came to my mind when reading this :)"Lol, then when it comes to basketball, I guess I'm destined to be a loser.
Any sport i played whether i was good or bad I always played to win but i always shook an opponents hand at the end no matter what.
I play to play my best and to *be* in the process/flow of playing the game. By doing this I have a chance at winning, but winning isn't actually something I have control over, whereas trying my best is something I can control.
Well, while I respect the memory of VL I'd rather teach (well i did teach) my kids good sportsmanship than win at all costs. I mean play your best, play all out, but don't be an
I always found myself getting real competitive too, when I used to play basketball regularly. Of course, I wasn't very good. So it was somewhat counterproductive. Heh.
Really though, my competitive drive wasn't for bragging rights or to better anyone else. I rarely talked any trash after the fact. It was more myself I was challenging than others.

Ha! Good one. I was thinking those book workouts like this: http://smartbitchestrashybooks.com/bl...
That's funny right there, I don't care what genre you read! (Read as the bibliophile's version of Larry the Cable Guy's catch phrase.)
I should read Twilight and do this workout. My arms would grow large from throwing the book across the room with anger. Then there's the complete body workout for each chapter. I would be a supermodel by the end!
Annnnd batshit crazy.

And we'd be drunk...
Have you heard the joke about the man & the pig?
A man and a pig were asleep together in a ditch. A lady walks by and sees them. Standing over them she sings, "You can tell a man who boozes by the company he chooses..."
And the pig got up and slowly walked away.
Yeah...I hate it when someone doesn't play a board game to win. and ...yep, heard the joke. I like it.
^Ooooh. SCRABBLE!I love board games, but I tend not to care too much about winning. Usually. I have been banned from Pictionary at the in-laws.
When it comes to MMOs, Battlefield on the PS3, Warhammer 40k, or board games, then yes I'm incredibly competitive lol.
