Which LIST book did you just finish?

I finished a re-read of Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. Still enjoyed it. Classic adventure. Strange I didn't even remember the land animal adventures at the end at all...

Although challenging not to mention confusing at times I still found this a strange and imaginative piece of writing that deserves to be on this list.

TIRANT LO BLANC. LAS AVENTURAS DE TIRANTE EL BLANCO TRADUCIDAS AL ESPAÑOL: Probablemente el mejor libro del mundo by Joanot Martorell and Martí Joan de Galba, English translation by J J Bernier

It has only 43 ratings on Goodreads- must be one of the least-read of the 1001 list. Her bio is interesting.

The book is ok, not sure why it is on the list.
Copies are rare but it‘s now available as an ebook, also on KindleUnlimited.

Euphues, the Anatomy of Wit by John Lyly - finished 4/4/21
and
Lazarillo de Tormez by Anonymous - finished 4/5/2

The Tin Drum by Günter Grass - 3 stars - My Review
Them by Joyce Carol Oates. She had four novels in the original edition of 1001 including this one. Only Them was kept in afterwards, and I think it deserves its place.

I heard an abridgement/drama of that on Radio 4. Sounds like a good story."
The story is good, but I am not enamored with Byatt's writing style. It is probably more enjoyable as a radio drama.
