I'm Louisa, 42 from Manchester UK.
I'm always on the lookout for recommendation and a new twist to my reading habits

Thanks! That's kind of you!I'm looking forward to making new friends and meeting new book worms :)

Thanks!

Welcome, everyone!

Hi, I'm Emily, 21, from Germany and love to read just about anything. I like to explore new authors and genres and am always open to book/author recommendations.

I'm Savannah, I'm 17 and just recently joined goodreads!

I'm Lindsay and I'm from Portland, Oregon. I've been on Good Reads for a while but I'm just now really starting to use it. My plan is to read more in general, especially when on public transportation (instead of playing games on my phone!) and before bed.
I enjoy lots of books, but I tend more towards fiction and fantasy. My goal is 24 books this year but I'm fairly confident that I'm going to go past it. I am also trying to read more books by female authors, and more 'classics' as well.
Right now I'm reading White Teeth by Zadie Smith, Capital in the Twenty-First Century by Thomas Piketty and We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson. Next up is O Pioneers by Willa Cather.

Hi, Hayleigh! Welcome to the group! I recently read an article where fan girls like us were pushing the industry to write more mainstream feminist characters. Yay for Fan Girls:)

The Book Thief is one of my favorites! I am the Messenger by Markus Zusak is also a really great read :).

Julie We hosted a Japanese student this year. Hiroki could speak only some English when he landed in our small town. He returned to Japan last month.
Young adult books are a good way to improve your English. I could give you some more suggestions. But writing letters haing someone reafd your papers to check them, wull help your writing. I would like to help if possible. I have a couple college degrees and work at our elementary school in the library.
Linda Warner

I am also a single mother of 1 beautiful girl and am proudly Canadian.
Hi to you all and thank you for letting me join your group! :)

not sure how it works at all so please be patient, haha
love all kinds of genres although not a fan of true crime. To me reading is escaping from the day to day so I love a bit of myths and fantasy. although I will give anything a try.

I am a avid reader when it comes to reading mysteries and thrillers books .
I like hard cover books but some I read on my Kindle. My reading goal is 35 books this year.
and I love discussing about the books I read.
I'm managing to challenge myself to read more and more varied books.
Currently looking for suggestions/reading clubs to keep me on my schedule .

My name is Atalya and I am an avid reader/lover of urban fantasy! They are my favourite books to read along with the occasional classic fantasy book

You must have a tough time in the bookstore, when you have EVERYTHING to choose from. I'm happy that I can disregard at least some shelves. (And my purse is much happier too!)

Favorite Book(s): Harry Potter series...hands down
Favorite Book Genre: Anything
Favorite Author: J.K. Rowling
Favorite Color: Green
Favorite Food: Italian
Any Pets: Dog names Boo
If I could live anywhere in the world it would be: London or Naples
Finish the line: I know I'm a book addict because....not only do I own a Nook and a Kindle Fire, but I also have to full Ikea shelves filled with books and I just keep buying more and more.
