Hi, Eric here. I'm a follower of Jesus, a husband, a father of 2, an electrical engineer, and a resident of Iowa, among other self-descriptive things. I do not get nearly as much time to read as I would like, but enjoy discussing what I'm reading when possible to keep me going and get more out of it. I ran across this group mostly by accident while searching for somewhere to fit in, and the many members and different facets to this group make it look like a good place to try. Can't wait to get started...
Hi, I'm Chantel, I'm a writer (well, I write anyway) and I've always been a big reader but for years I hadn't been able to read or write too much because of school/work/life. But in the last few years, little by little I've been making a conscious effort to get back into it. I'm hoping this challenge will help me even further.PS. I'm always looking to see what good reads are out there, but I appreciate any recommendations :)
Hello, ladies and gentlemen, I'm Nikos, 17 and I enjoy pretty much anything written, from books to shampoo bottle stickers.
Hi,I'm Lia and to say that I'm a bookaholic is probably an understatement. I read constantly just about anything that I can get my hands on. I haven't read much non fiction as it doesn't really catch my interests if I want to see the trials and love trysts of the real world all I have to do is open my eyes and pay attention. The world is like one giant soap opera full of free entertainment. Vampires, werewolves witches demons motorcycle clubs and the like are far more less common and much more entertaining in my opinion. I am always open to suggestions and new genres of course but that is mostly what I read. I find the stranger it is the better I like it. I look forward to discussing my favorite books with others who actually share my passion and won't roll their eyes or tell me to shut up. Thank you for the invite.
I should probably have introduced myself earlier, I'm already taking part in two challenges, but that's life.I'm Ginnie, I'm a 24 year old wannabe author, and I love reading all and any books put in front of me. To get good stuff out you have to put good stuff in. :-)

Hello my book loving friends!! My name is Natasha, I am 25 years old, I work and go to school, and make time to enjoy a good book whenever I can. This website along with reading keep me sane, and in a good place. I love reading and getting completely engrossed in a book. I have a reading challenge of 25 books in 2014, and I'm about 45% complete. Will try my best to check in and let everyone know how I'm doin. I'm super stoked to be apart of this group. Cheers!!
Hi!I'm Jenny, and this is the first group I've joined on Goodreads, so I'm really excited about trying it out. I'm 20 and go to university in Copenhagen, which I'm loving (even though it makes it hard to find time to read non-academic literature). I like most genres, but especially love roman à clef novels (I had no idea that this is actually a genre of novels describing real life. All the things you learn from Wikipedia..). My favourite book is Beatles by the Norwegian author Lars Saabye Christensen. Looking forward to some interesting discussions!

Hey everyone!! I'm Harsha and I'm 21 years old. Reading and football are the greatest past-times of my life. I vacillate between classics and fantasy books and do throw in a few humor books to mix it up. I've recently discovered the brilliance of Russian literature and I'm addicted to it.Favorite authors: Nabokov, Dosotyevsky, P.G.Wodehouse and George R R Martin to name a few.
Favorite books: A Song of Ice and Fire saga, HP, Pale Fire, Jeeves series, Crime and Punishment etc..
Always looking for new book suggestions.. Thanks for your time and have a rocking day :)
Welcome everyone! Great to see so many new members.Meutia, how come your nickname cuts out two letters of your name? That is very funny.
Hi, I'm Dee Dee. My favorites to read are crime and mystery, though this year I've really enjoyed many new books. I especially enjoyed The Book Thief and The Invention of Wings. It makes me wonder what I've been missing. I am married, we have two grown daughters and 3 grandkids so far. I spend a lot of time on word games, trying to keep my brain active!
Hi, I'm Camille. I'm originally from France but now live in Scotland. I love to read a lot of different genres, but I'm not a fan of horror and sci fi. Although I can read a book of any genre if it is really good. I'm mostly into historical fiction and classics. It's nice to find a group to share my challenge with! :)
I'm Teresa. I read about anything, but right now I'm focused on cozy mysteries and historical fiction.

Hello all, my name is Dymphna. I joined a while ago, but I don't think I've introduced myself yet. I'm 42, living in the UK. I love to read fantasy, paranormal romance, cozy mysteries and more. I've been on Goodreads for a couple of years now and here I've found many new wonderful reads and people who are as mad about books as I am. I want to read 125 books this year. A few of them will be novellas though. Not too many, just a couple :)
Hello!I'm Ariana and love to read. I like fiction and mistery. I like romance ;)
I was searching for a good group and I think I found a good one.
Hi. I'm Melinda. I've loved reading since I could walk, I think. I have a bit of a problem. I own a ton of books and am moving to a smaller house. I own a nook from Barnes & Noble. I'm trying to decide which books to keep and which to switch over. Any ideas? Thanks...
Hello all! I'm Shannon Noel. Avid reader of course (GOODREADS YOU COMPLETE ME!) Also a writer, artist, and adventure junkie. Currently working as a theatre tech. I'm joining this group late but I've had a reading goal since the start of 2014, which was pretty puny at first but I've since bumped it up a few times. Right now the goal is 50 and I'm on my 25th - perfectly halfway at the half-year mark, woo! My tastes are pretty varied; I don't subscribe to any one particular genre. Top 2 favorite books of all time are The Handmaid's Tale and Fight Club. Glad to meet you all!
Hi! I am Jenna. I just started my goodreads account. I am currently reading the second Harry Potter book. I like them so far. Do you think I should finish the series?
Hi Melinda, Shannon Noel, and Jenna.Welcome to the group!
Melinda, I think if I were in your situation, I'd probably pick out the books that I most enjoy curling up with and re-reading, and make sure I took them. Next would be any that I would want to pass on to friends, children, etc. The rest of the titles I wanted, I'd probably convert to my nook. I don't know if that helps or not, you sound like you're going to have a hard time parting with any of them!
Jenna, DEFINITELY finish the Harry Potter series! They're all amazing!
Hii everyone! I'm Rika, I'm from Hong Kong, but currently studying in the UK. I'm also a booktube newbie, please check my channel out and subscribe http://www.youtube.com/GeekyRiksI just started the 2014 reading challenge (I know it's a bit late), so I just want to join the group and see how everyone else's progress :)

Hi everyone! I'm Emmy. I have pretty varied reading tastes and am hoping to hit 50 books this year. I've ready 25 so far and we're halfway through the year, so I think I'm in good shape. Glad to be here!

Hello Everyone, I'm RYCJ. In addition to reading and reviewing books for other authors, I also am an independent publisher; and a writer, author, and blogger as well. Whew! It's a lot, but then literature, and all matters literature, is my thing.Have you written a good memoir? One that you've written from your heart that YOU could read over and over again... that makes you laugh, reflect back on when, and maybe shed a tear or two. Let me know. I'd love to hear all about it, though first, you may want to see the memoirs that have already done it for me!
And for all the readers... see what I've been reading. I only read and take time out of my valuable day to talk about the best!!!
Hi everyone! I'm Joanne. I've always been a booklover but am new to Goodreads. It's so nice to connect with other book lovers!
Hi everyone I'm Tim. I am 23, love to read fiction and books about adventures. I look forward to reading everyones comments and getting the heads up on what books to read. Don't be a stranger, lets chat soon!
Hi everyone! My name is Holli. I am 23 years old. I have been addicted to reading ever since I was a child, when my mom used to take us to the library every week. My favorite books are horror, mystery, and non-fiction, although I will read just about anything! I have recently gotten into dystopian books. I am always looking for new friends to discuss books with, so feel free to add me to your friends list!
hello to all the newcomers : ) goodreads is such a great (and addicting) site and this group is really one of my favorites
Hi, I am Fiona. Mum to 3 teenagers and a wife of 1 lovely husband.I got into reading when I was a little girl. My genres are varied now and I am reading YA, Paranormal Romance, Thrillers, Crime, Mysteries, Horror to name a few. My favourite authors are James Patterson, E.L. James, Karin Slaughter, A.M. Hargrove to name but a few. I read as I love getting lost in a book where it takes you away from reality and takes you on a journey.
I can usually be found with my head in a book or reviewing some great author's books.
