I have a bunch coming from your can't-wait-to-read shelf, with some from your regular TBR, and new-to-you mixed in there. If you need a repick, just..."
Thanks for the great picks, Ty! I'm definitely planning on Shadowfever next month, and should be able to get through a few more, too...just don't know which ones yet. Most of them look interesting, so it will probably boil down to what fits best in other challenges! :D

You have a ton of really interesting books in your TBR! It was hard to pick just a few for you, so if you don't find anything here that you like, I will be happy to pick some more for you. I have tried to give you a variety of things, most of which came from your TBR with a few that I liked thrown in, plus at least two for each category so you have lots of choices!
Chocolate Truffles Dukes to the Left of Me, Princes to the Right

Ice Cream Personal Demons

Jellybeans Some colorful covers: He Loves Lucy

Potato Chips Mad Eye

Pretzels The Beast Within

Mixed Nuts The Fiery Cross

Trail Mix Through Wolf's Eyes

Bacon Sundae A Great and Terrible Beauty

Happy Reading!

Thank you for the awesome picks! I think I'm going to get to The Island before the starting of the month but I see quite a few I want to read. It all depends on what those scavenger hunt categories are going to be ;)

Sweet and Gooey:
Chocolate Truffles – Recommend a book with a wealthy or spoiled character, or that is set in an exotic location or somewhere you might expect to rub elbows with the rich and famous. Too Hot To Touch(From your TBR shelf) Sounds like a good read!
Ice Cream – Recommend a book by an author that is a favorite of your pickee, or a book that is a comfort read for you. The Heir (From your TBR shelf) A comfort read of mine as well!
Jellybeans – Recommend a book with a bright, colorful cover, or an LGBT themed book. Jewels of the Sun (From your TBR shelf) The Combination books I recommended for you are both LGBT themed books, so it’s a double dip, plus this one is another of my favorites!
Salty and Crunchy:
Potato Chips (betcha can’t eat just one!) – Recommend the next book in a series that your pickee has enjoyed, or the first book in a series that you like but your pickee has never read. Night Pleasures from your TBR pile, but I also recommend Fantasy Lover, which is actually the first book in the Dark-Hunter series, which I didn't see in your read pile.
Pretzels – Recommend a book with a confusing plot, a mystery, or a character who has a twisted personality or is misunderstood. Too Close to Home- This one could also count as out of your comfort zone, it's a Christian Romance with a mystery in it as well. I think of it as Criminal Minds for Christian Fiction readers and found it to be an enjoyable read.
Mixed Nuts – Recommend a book with multiple timelines (flashbacks or time travel) or multiple storylines, or an anthology. Try Me, Tempt Me, Take Me (One Night with Sole Regret anthology, Volume 1 (Author's working on Volume 2, LOL!)) I noticed you have some of the Sinners on Tour books on your To Read shelf. These are shorter serial stories, with a different band, but very enjoyable to read!
Combination:
Trail Mix – Recommend a book where a significant portion of the story takes place outdoors, or that includes an animal or shifters in the storyline. Without Reservations This was my first introduction to the M/M romance genre, and I liked it enough to check out the author's other books! This starts her Shifter series, so it fits the Trail Mix rule quite well!
Bacon Sundae (don't knock it until you've tried it...) - Recommend a book that is outside of your pickee's comfort zone, or a genre that they rarely read. My Fair Captain This is another one that I think will be out of your comfort zone a bit, it's a Sci-Fi Romance. It's by the same author as Without Reservations, but I happen to prefer this series over her With and Without Shifter series.

I enjoyed looking through your lists and picked up a few to add to my TBR! I tried to pick favorite authors BUT threw in a few new ones as well. Let me know if you need a re-pick. Thanks!
Sweet and Gooey:
Chocolate Truffles – A Pirate's Love by Johanna Lindsey (On your TBR list) Exotic Locations!
Ice Cream – Suddenly You by Lisa Kleypas (On your TBR list)
Jellybeans – The Black Duke's Prize by Suzanne Enoch (On your TBR list) This cover looked bright and I thought it would be a good read!
Salty and Crunchy:
Potato Chips (betcha can’t eat just one!) – Running Hot by Jayne Ann Krentz (TBR List) OR Fallen Hearts by V.C. Andrews (Not on your list BUT you marked you've read the first 2 in the series and this is my favorite series of hers so I couldn't resist!)
Pretzels – Smoke Screen by Sandra Brown- Great mystery and of course she delivers the romance!
Mixed Nuts – Remembrance by Jude Deveraux. She is one of your favorite authors, so I thought you may enjoy this one.
Combination:
Trail Mix – Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins- You listed you've read the Hunger Games but not the other 2 in the series. If you have a Kindle, I am happy to lend this to you!! OR On the Island by Tracy Garvis-Graves- This one can be borrowed too, so let me know if you choose this one and I'll send it to you.
Bacon Sundae- Beautiful Disaster by Jamie mcGuire - This is a New Adult Contemporary Romance read and I see you didn't really have any in this genre, so I picked one of my favorites! You will not regret reading this one.

Here are my picks for you. I hope you enjoy them and please let me know if you would like any repicks.
.Sweet and Gooey:
Chocolate Truffles
The Raven Prince by Hoyt, Elizabeth- I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. The raven prince is damaged, rich and stuck up.

The Last Song by Sparks, Nicholas- I noticed that you do not particularly enjoy Sparks book however I do believe this one is worth the read. It is one of my favorites and a complete tear jerker. I rarely ever cry and this one had me in tears. It is about a spoiled teenage daughter. And if you have seen the movie please disregard it. I believe that it is a horrible representation of a wonderful book.

Ice Cream
Garden Spells by Allen, Sarah Addison- I love this book and it is on your TBR list. For me it is exactly like ice cream.

The Man Who Loved Jane Austen by O'Rourke, Sally Smith- I noticed that you love Jane Austen and this is a great book for Austen fans.

Jellybeans
Dangerous Highlander by Grant, Donna- Colorful cover and a book that I would like to read too. Buddy read?

Magic Bites by Andrews, Ilona- Great series about magic and shifters.

Salty and Crunchy:
Potato Chips
Size 12 and Ready to Rock by Meg Cabot- I enjoyed this whole series. And the 5th book is to be released.

The Warlord by Elliott, Elizabeth- A new historical romance series for you.

Pretzels
Naked in Death by J.D. Robb- This is a mystery/crime series that I love. It has a couple that comes together in the beginning and stays together throughout all of the books.

Where Dreams Begin by Lisa Kleypas- I would be willing to buddy reas this one aswell if you are interested.

Mixed Nuts
The Poisonwood Bible by Kingsolver, Barbara- This book is written in many different perspectives. Each chapter is titled with the characters name and written in that characters perspective. I was amazed by the author’s ability to create such different people and write for them accordingly. Overall one of my favorite books.

Highland Destiny by Laura Hunsaker- Time travel and highlanders. It is sort of an odd mix but I still enjoyed it.

Combination:
Trail Mix
Soulless by Carriger, Gail- This book has a shifter and is a great series.

Cry Wolf by Briggs, Patricia- Another shifter book...

Bacon Sundae
Captive in the Dark by Roberts, C.J.- I went through a lot of emotions while reading this book. While I don’t think it will ever be my favorite (too much angst) I appreciate the author’s ability to make me feel the same emotions as the main character. I will admit to going through a bit of Stockholm syndrome while reading.

hi Mary Ann - here are your picks, hopefully one or more of these works for you ;)
Dee,
Love the picks! Thank you. After reading reviews on Molly Harper, I can't believe I haven't read any of hers either! I will fix that in October-so thank you for the suggestion. You are right, I do have so many Nora Roberts but I honestly haven't read her in years! However, Vision in White has been calling me for months now! I'm hoping to fix this as well. Thanks!

Hello there! I had fun going through your shelves. :) I had a hard time finding books that were not on one of your lists! I hope you find something that you like.
2013 October PIFM - Picking Rules
Sweet and Gooey:
Chocolate Truffles – Recommend a book with a wealthy or spoiled character, or that is set in an exotic location or somewhere you might expect to rub elbows with the rich and famous.
The Marriage Bargain by Jennifer Probst
Ice Cream – Recommend a book by an author that is a favorite of your pickee, or a book that is a comfort read for you.
I don't really know what I would consider a comfort read, so here are two books that I have read recently and really enjoyed:
Easy by Tammara Webber
Rock Chick by Kristen Ashley
Jellybeans – Recommend a book with a bright, colorful cover, or an LGBT themed book.
Cut & Run by Abigail Roux (M/M)
Salty and Crunchy:
Potato Chips (betcha can’t eat just one!) – Recommend the next book in a series that your pickee has enjoyed, or the first book in a series that you like but your pickee has never read
Extras by Scott Westerfeld
Lover Mine by J.R. Ward
Crave by J.R. Ward - My favorite in this series.

I had a good time checking out your shelves, found a lot we had in common, but also some differences too. Here are your picks:
Sweet and Gooey
Truffles:
Exclusively Yours or It Had to Be You – both have wealthy characters and are the beginnings to two series that I thoroughly enjoy.
Ice Cream:
Kissing Under The Mistletoe – it appears you’re a fan of the Sullivans…I am, too!
Do Over – Lovely feel-good story about rediscovering the passion after 25 years of marriage
Jellybeans:
Defying the Odds – I’ve had this on my TBR forever and could fit it in next month if you’re interested in a buddy read.
Simply Irresistible – Not the most colorful cover out there, but I love this book and series and had to find a place to recommend it! :D
Salty and Crunchy
Potato Chips:
Rocky Mountain Heat – Not my favorite book in the series, but I do enjoy the series as a whole
Anything Like Me – You rated the first two books highly, why not read book 3?
Pretzels:
Tempting the Best Man – I will be reading this next month, so it’s another option if you’re interested in a buddy read.
Her Forbidden Hero – I’ve liked what I’ve read by this author, and this one sounds good, too.
Mixed Nuts:
Out of Time – Excellent time travel story, and first book in a very enjoyable series
Dark Lover – I didn’t notice any PNR on your shelves, but this was the first book I thought of for the multiple storyline portion of this category...and it's the first book in an amazing series.
Combination
Trail Mix
Wild Heat – More Bella Andre, excellent series about Hot Shot firefighters
Slave to Sensation – Another paranormal, but a must read if you have any interest at all in the genre
Bacon Sundae
Quinn's Hart – I didn’t see any m/m on your shelves, if you have any interest this is a short, sweet love story set at DisneyWorld.
When Beauty Tamed the Beast – I didn’t notice much in the way of historicals on your shelves other than classics, so I thought I’d recommend one of my favorites. All the books in this series are stand-alones and can be read in any order, but if you’re obsessive about reading order (like I am) you could start with A Kiss at Midnight.
I hope you find something here that interests you – happy reading!

Sweet and Gooey:
Chocolate Truffles: My first pick here was a no-brainer, you gave Naked in Death by J.D. Robb 5 stars, but never moved on to Glory in Death* - you don't even have it on your shelves! You really need to continue with this series! (This is really the pot calling the kettle black here, I'm only on book #6 myself.) You also have one of my favorite books on your to-read shelf, so I had to pick it for you here, Honor's Splendour* by Julie Garwood. It is so very, very good! Another new idea is On Dublin Street by Samantha Young. It surprised me by living up to all the hype, I really enjoyed it.
Ice Cream: You have a "favorite authors" shelf, so that was very helpful. Not just for this category, but all of them! One of your favorite authors is also one of mine - Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I noticed that you haven't read and don't have on any of your shelves The Great Escape*. I just read Lucy's story this month and thought it was fun! Another author on your favorites shelf is Kristen Ashley. I've only read a few of her books, but I loved them! My first KA is one that is new to you, The Gamble, maybe you will want to read this one. Some comfort reads for me would be Do Over by Mari Carr - super sweet story about a couple rediscovering why they were a couple in the first place and Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis, not my favorite in the Lucky Harbor series, but a great beginning to it and lots of fun too.
Jelly Beans: I picked two new ones and one from your shelves for this category. The first new one is The Locker Room by Amy Lane - I loved this story, so sweet and emotional! We both loved My Summer of Wes by Missy Welsh and there is a short story sequel that neither of us has read yet The Door Into Spring Buddy read maybe? Another buddy read candidate that we both have on our shelves is Life in Fusion by Ethan Day - I'm curious as to where this story goes after the first one!
Salty and Crunchy:
Potato Chips: First, a series you started and seemed to enjoy, The McCabe Trilogy, and next for you is Seduction of a Highland Lass by Maya Banks. I thought this series got better with each book, but this one was probably the most endearing and emotional. One of your favorite authors is Jayne Ann Krentz but you haven't read her Arcane series. It crosses time periods with books by all of her alter egos and it starts with Second Sight* by Amanda Quick. I've enjoyed this series a lot. A couple of new ideas, Out Of Her League by Kaylea Cross and Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake* by Sarah Maclean. Very different series, but both very good.
Pretzels The book that jumped out at me when looking at your shelves for one that fit this spot is The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie* by Jennifer Ashley. Such a good book and a wonderful family series! Another one I saw on your shelves with a mystery, twisted personalities and misunderstood characters is Cut & Run. Ty and Zane are wonderfully messed up! A short little story that is simply wonderful is Shaken by Dee Tenorio, it is about a couple who misunderstood each others' actions in the aftermath of a tragedy and finally come back together. A fun choice might be Wallbanger* by Alice Clayton. I loved the humor and the story and the character, it was great!
Mixed Nuts: I have two time travel books for you here, one from your to-read shelf and one new. From your to-read shelf, Kiss of the Highlander** by Karen Marie Moning. One of the most romantic books I've ever read! And funny too! I loved Drustan... ~sigh~ New to you is Out of Time by Monique Martin. It is a unique story mostly because of its setting - the couple travels back in time to 1929 - a time of gangsters, prohibition and speakeasies. It is a different time to read about and very enjoyable.
Combination:
Trail Mix: A new book to you set mostly outdoors is Exclusively Yours by Shannon Stacey. It isn't my favorite in the series, but I adore the Kowalski family! Especially kids and their "Tournaments of Doom"! One not on your shelves even though it looks like you enjoyed the first in the series is Storm's Heart* by Thea Harrison. I really enjoy this series, though Dragon Bound was really special. You have Slave to Sensation* by Nalini Singh on your shelf, but haven't started that series. It is really pretty good, but another pot-kettle situation, I only read the first three. I'm hoping to get through them now that I have the audiobooks though.
Bacon Sundae: I looked to me like you read just about everything, but not a lot of PNR, at least not lately. I picked the second in a two series for you hoping maybe you just needed a push to read them. First, Lover Eternal by J.R. Ward - one of my favorites in the BDB series. And No Rest for the Wicked* by Kresley Cole - really, the narrator of this series is excellent!!
Happy Reading!!

Sweet & Gooey :
1. Chocolate Truffles: Beautiful Bastard: Rich main character. [Above All]
2. Ice Cream: Plan B: I recommend this book very often because it one of my all-time favorite reads. If you like sarcasm, you'll love this book. [New to You]
3. Jellybeans: Girl with Guitar: Colorful cover; I enjoyed this well enough. [Above All]
Salty & Crunchy :
4. Potato Chips: Broken And Screwed 2: It appears as though you liked the first one. [Above All]
5. Pretzels: Consequences: I haven't read this yet, though I have it on my Kindle, but supposedly it's EXTREMELY twisted. [New to You]
6. Mixed Nuts: The Time Traveler's Wife: I read this quite a while ago, but I did enjoy it. [New to You]
Combination
7. Trail Mix: Amy and Roger's Epic Detour: They're on a roadtrip, time is spent outside. I REALLY loved this book. [New to You]
8. Bacon Sundae: The DUFF: Designated Ugly Fat Friend: I saw that you had like six on a shelf entitled High School-Drama, so I'm guessing you don't read too much of High School YA rather NA or Adult, hopefully I'm right. [Above All]
I hope you enjoy everything that you read. :)

Chocolate Truffles:
spoiled rich character (TBR) Flowers from the Storm (loved this!)

There are some really good ones in there...
Flowers from the Storm, I can't wait, I plan to read before October so I don't think I'll be able to count it.
Reviving Izabel I will most definitely read the moment it is released (there isn't a date yet, and I'm dying to read it.
There are just some really amazing books on here and what I can't get to, I'll add to my TBR and get to as soon as I can.
I DO commit to reading for October
This side of the Grave
The Surgeon
Mr. Impossible

Sweet and Gooey
Chocolate Truffles: Naked in Death by J.D. Robb or Tiger Eye by Marjorie M. Liu
You have read a lot of Nora Roberts, so you might enjoy her alter ego. Naked in Death is one of my personal favorites. Tiger Eye takes place, at least in part, in China, and is the beginning of a series that I enjoyed very much.
Ice Cream: On the Edge by Ilona Andrews or Beast Behaving Badly by Shelly Laurenston
You have given 4 or 5 stars to all of the other Ilona Andrews books you've read, so perhaps you will enjoy their other series as well. As far as comfort read go, I really enjoy Shelly Laurenston's Pride series when I need some cheering up. Beast Behaving Badly is my favorite thus far, but if you want to start from the beginning, The Mane Event is book one. A funny series all around.
Jelly Beans: Master of the Night by Angela Knight or Red-Headed Stepchild by Jaye Wells or Cut & Run by Abigail Roux and Madeleine Urban
If you like Arthurian legend at all, this is a very funny interpretation of it. A very silly series overall, but one I found entertaining. I haven't read Red-Headed Stepchild yet, but I quite like the cover. I hear lots of good things about this one. If you're interested in giving the mm genre a try, Cut & Run is one of my favorites.
Salty and Crunchy
Potato Chips: Lord's Fall by Thea Harrison or Magic in the Wind by Christine Feehan
You have enjoyed the rest of the Elder Races series, so why not try the next entry? Magic in the Wind is the first book in the Drake Sister series and it's one that I very much enjoyed.
Pretzels: The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde or Son of the Morning by Linda Howard
The Eyre Affair is the start to a fun series about a woman who can travel into fiction. In the first book, she must save Jane Eyre from the evil Acheron Hades before he destroys a literary classic and its beloved heroine. There's some time travel in there too, a lost love rekindled, and a pet dodo for good measure. Son of the Morning is a great romantic suspense story, also with some time travel, and an interesting mystery.
Mixed Nuts: Wild Invitation by Nalini Singh or Wicked Firsts
You have enjoyed the full-length Psy-Changeling stories, so why not give the novellas a try? I really liked all of these stories, the one about Zach and Annie being my favorite. This anthology collects them all in one place. Wicked Firsts is on your tbr and it gets a 4.12 average rating.
Combination
Trail-Mix: Fair Game by Patricia Briggs or Last Dragon Standing by G.A. Aiken or Untouched by Sara Humphreys
Shapeshifters in their many forms usually make for an entertaining read.
Bacon Sundae: Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones or Grimspace by Ann Aguirre

Thank you for the awesome picks! I'll definately read Rock Chick Revolution and hopefully a couple more!
I started reading The Leopard Prince last night, so you could make another choice or I could read the next in the series.

Here are my picks for you. I hope you enjoy them and please let me know if you would like any repicks.

I'm excited to pick for you. I'll have your picks up tonight after work."
Thanks Sassy! Can't wait to see what you've got for me :)

I have a bunch coming from your can't-wait-to-read shelf, with some from your regular TBR, and new-to-you mixed in there. If you need a ..."
you're in for a treat. I love me some Barrens...

Here are my picks for you. If you need me to repick, just let me know. :D
Sweet and Gooey:
Chocolate Truffles –

Thanks for the picks, Juliet!
All The Colors Of Love looks really interesting - I will definitely have to check it out!
The Double Helix - will read for a challenge next month :D
I've already read Where's My Hero? (Gamblers, #3) (I just didn't rate it since I read it before coming to GR), if you wanna repick for that, you can, but you don't have to. I may get to some of the other picks if I have a chance. Thanks again!

I was hopped up on cold medicine last night and couldn't keep my eyes open...literally. I did make most of my picks while under the influence though, let's hope I did a decent job of it.
Sweet & Gooey
Chocolate Truffles
New ~ Remember Me: This is the first of a trilogy and I really enjoyed it. The author, Laura Moore, reminds me of Nora Roberts. Plus it's set in the world of horse breeding and competitions.
TBR ~ Memoirs of a Geisha: One of my all time favorites! I read this before the movie and before I discovered Romance Novels. The author completely immerses the reader in the exotic world of the geisha. So excited to see it on your TBR.

Ice Cream
New ~ Voyager: When I want comfort I usually reach for Outlander and reread my favorite parts. Since you've already read the first two, move on to Voyager. It's one of the best in the series.
TBR ~ The Last Boyfriend: You're a fan of Nora Roberts and this is one of my favorite of her series.

Jellybeans
New ~ Neanderthal Seeks Human: A Smart Romance: Ab2y recommended this to me last month and I really enjoyed it. Smart, funny and sexy read.
TBR ~ Good Girls Don't: The first book of a really good series that's also fun and sexy. On a side note, the last book has a love scene that still makes me sweat just thinking about it.

Salty & Crunchy
Potato Chips
New ~ Angels' Blood: I adore this series. Period.
TBR ~ Glory in Death: Ok, the last time I picked for you we discussed my OCD issues and your In Death-out-of-order issues. My apologies for putting that on you, but you read the first one, yay! Now you can move on to #2. You won't regret it, I promise :)

Pretzels
New ~ Flowers from the Storm: I just discovered Laura Kinsale and fell in love! The hero's illness makes him horribly misunderstood and Kinsale does a beautiful job of putting the reader in his twisted mind.
TBR ~ Easy: Our heroine completely misunderstands our hero. This was a very good NA read.

Mixed Nuts
New ~ Son of the Morning: Time travel but not in the traditional way. A great read.
TBR ~ The Time Traveler's Wife: This is on my list to read in October and I'm looking forward to it.

Combination
Trail Mix
New ~ Dragon Bound: I think I recommended this to you before...it's a good one.
TBR ~ Days of Blood & Starlight: Like me, you loved the first one, this is a good read as well. I'm looking forward to #3.

Bacon Sundae (Since this category is supposed to break you out of your comfort zone I decided to do two "new to you" books.)
New ~ The Reluctant Dom: A very touching book, I cried my eyes out. Although I'm not in the lifestyle, I think this book does a great job of explaining it.
New ~ Faith & Fidelity: Dee recommended this book to me a few years ago and I try to pass it on whenever I can. It's a very sweet, tasteful introduction to the m/m genre.

I hope I've done well by you this time around, but like I said, I was under the influence of cold meds, lol.
HAPPY READING!!

Thank you for the awesome picks! I'll definately read Rock Chick Revolution and hopefully a couple more!
I started reading The Leopard Prince last night, so you could make another choice ..."
I looked at The Serpent Prince which is the next book in the series and it looks awesome as well. ;-)
Funny you're reading the book I'm picking last night! What are the odds?

I hope you find something you like.... I had fun going through your shelves :)
I picked up quite a few while I was there, LOL.
Sweet and Gooey:
Chocolate Truffles -
Let's Hear it ..."
oh man some great choice. Not sure what I will pick, yet. Added a few to my TBR as well :)
Already read Never a Hero Loved it (as I generally do with Marie Sexton)...

Thanks for the great picks, Samantha. So many good ones to choose from! I think I'm going to start with either The Heist (if I can get it from the library - there's a looonnnggg waiting list) or Sex, Murder And A Double Latte (it looks really cute). Thanks again!

Ah! Okay I did a repick for that because I'm such a perfectionist. LOL.

I noticed that you haven't read this book but Book 1 is on your favorite shelf so time to read Book 2 maybe!
