Who would you save that died in Harry Potter?

Of course you can become one! Anyone can!

Severus - because as a potions master I do not think he should have died from poison.
Sirius - because I'd like Harry to have his godfather.
Fred - because George isn't a twin by himself.
I love Lupin too, but then I'd have to bring back Tonks. Also Harry's parents, bet Harry would like to know his family. Dobby. Hedwig. Guh. Where do I stop?

I see some all you have put Harry's parents but think if Harrys parents hadn't died he wouldn't be the boy who lived, probably wouldn't be friends with Ron and Hermione, Voldemort (fear in a name increases the fear in the thing itself-Dumbledore) would still be in power. The whole series wouldn't have come if not for that one part. I think..wow umm, that i would have had Fred, Sirius, and Dumbledore. Snape is high upon that list as well. If Sirius wouldn't have died Harry wouldn't have to lay eyes upon the Durlseys again i wonder how that would impact the story.

You know what? I can't choose whom I'll bring back. That's cruel, there are so many awe..."
Too True!

Then Fred and Tonks. Lupin's death was set-up and was unsurprising for his character arc. Tonks death read as symmetry so Teddy would be like Harry. Okay scratch Tonks off my spared list and we'll save Colin Creevey instead.

Hear, hear...
Hear, hear...

I would say James+Lily, but I don't think we would have a series without their deaths.

Snape, Harry's parents, Dobby, Sirius, Lupin, Tonks, maybe Dumbledore, Hedwig, maybe Cedric, and most of all Fred

Lupin/Nymphadora- Lupin is my fav. character, love him so much, and Dora was funny and married to Lupin, so she counts! :3
Sirious- I mean, who wants Sirious to die?
Dobby- NO DUH! DOBBY IS AWESOME :'(
and last but not least....
FRED- Dang.... them feels guys.... them feels....

I think Rowling planned it that way, because Fred and George were inseparable, never one without the other, almost the same person... plus she loves being cruel to her characters.
Snape is one of my favorite characters but bringing him back would just be cruel... he was never happy and he'd get to see Harry (who was the kid of the woman he loved and the man he hated) grow up and be happy... plus we would never know that he was really on the good guys' side all along!
Voldemort... who'd bring him back, even if he was a well-developed character? He was like the Hitler of the Wizarding World. No, it's best the defeated bad guy is just that: defeated and dead. It also serves the purpose about Voldemort's being afraid of dying and finally getting what he deserved.
Dumbledore was Harry's mentor and loved him in a way, but his death was crucial, as was Sirius's. The story wouldn't be the same without them. It shows how even the person who most deserved family in the entire world (Harry) didn't always get it. Sometimes the bad guy gets the better of you. This isn't a Disney movie.
Lupin and Tonks created the next orphan... Teddy Lupin. Harry played Sirius's role as the godfather as he grew up... because in wartime not all people are left unscathed. Sometimes you lose relatives.
So those are the main ones... obviously you can't bring back Lily or James because that would ruin everything; Harry wouldn't be "the Boy Who Lived"... all in all, I think the ones who died unnecessarily were Hedwig, Moody, and Colin. (Cedric too?)
If saving them had no difference on the story, I'd bring back Fred, Lupin, Sirius, Dumbledore, Dobby, Lily, James, Tonks... I mean, don't you wish you could just save them all?
(Sorry about my brutal outlook on things... I have a negative mind :) )

Sirius,
Remus (and) Tonks,
and Hedwig
It's hard though, a lot of people didn't deserve to die.

I can't just pick three. Fred should not have died, Harry should have been able to live with Sirius and Teddy needs his parents!! *cry*"
This!
I loved Dumbledore, and Snape should have been vindicated, but these four, Fred, Sirius, Remus & Tonks are the deaths that "hurt" me the most.
As a side note, I can not remember Hedwig's death.

Sirius's death was really sad and I wish it hadn't happened but I don't have enough affection for him to put him in my top 3. Same with Mad-eye.
Not Dumbledore because he was really old and he was ready to die. Plus it helped bring down Voldermort. I don't regret Snape's death either because I think it was the right time for him to be finally put to rest from the hurt of the whole Lily affair.
So it's gotta be Remus, Tonks and Fred. Because I LOVE these 3 and Teddy and Andromeda needed Remus and Tonks and they would have been great parents. Fred just because I can't imagine George without Fred. *sniff*

Fred
sirius
Snape was one of my favorite characters cried when he died and Fred too, Sirius i just felt bad for

Sirius mainly. Because Harry needed ONE father figure. I mean, James, Sirius, Dumbledore AND Remus die and harry has no one. It's tragic. And plus Sirius had a sad life. All those years in Azkaban- and then he finally has hope and then... Sigh.

Agree with you, the part 'plus Sirius had a sad life. All those years in Azkaban- and then he finally has hope and then... Sigh.' indeed a good argument.
~~adding with Sirius character would make him the saviour of them all who died.
