Ella Miller Anyone of these people:
Remus&Tonks (For Teddy)
Fred&Cedric (They both were really young)
Snape&Serius(I like Snape now, and have always loved Serius' character)
Dobby&Hedwig (For Harry)
Who I WOULDNT save:
Dumbledore (Lets face it)
James&Lily Potter (Without them, the story would fall apart)

BookGirl Hedwig, Sirius, and Remus.

Ella Miller Oh, also, I wouldn't want to save Voldemort.

Amu Serius, hedwig, dobby

message 463: by Joy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Joy -Fred (The thought of Fred and George being separated is just terrible...)
-Sirius (His death felt unnecessary, and I wish he could have had a chance to recover from Azkaban...)
-Lily (it would have been really cool if everyone thought she was dead but then Harry found her in St. Mungo's and managed to restore her... or, better yet, if she went into hiding using a spell that could only be lifted when Voldemort died, possibly one of Snape's making.)

message 464: by Begüm (new) - rated it 5 stars

Begüm Fred, Dobby, Hedwig

message 465: by Ella (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ella Miller Joy, that would be SO cool if Lily came back, James is ehh, ok. And Weasley's Wizard Wheezes wouldn't be the sane without Fred.

message 466: by Amaya (new) - rated it 5 stars

Amaya Garcia Definitely Dobby, Sirius, and Dumbledore

Not true. J.K. meant it to symbolise Harry's loss of innocence.

message 469: by Ella (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ella Miller Totally agree! Did JK Rowling think that Hedwig would get in Harry's way during the horcrux-destroying. Wait, where did Crookshanks go?

message 470: by Ella (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ella Miller I agree with Amaya Garcia! Also, BellaTrix ¤¤ "always" what is that supposed to mean?

Priscila Fred, Hedwig, Sirius and everyone..

omg i cant just pick three

message 472: by C (new) - rated it 5 stars

C She was the personification of Harry's childhood, his purity and, yes, innocence. When she died, it was like Harry was losing all of that.

maybe but Harry still would've lost his purity and his childhood without the death of Hedwig.

Yes they were. Half the deaths in the last book were picked at random to boost the dramatic weight of the final battle.

I say save Remus & co.

message 475: by Ella (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ella Miller I have to ask, what makes Sirius such a strong character? Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE Sirius' character, but what makes him so likable?

Georgia Fred, Tonks, Cedric, Sirius, and Hedwig. I'd say Remus too, but I think he was ready. He spent his whole life hating what he was, and a nobel death was just what was best for him in my opinion.

Savannah Fred, Hedwig, Lupin. Teddy needs at least one parent.

message 478: by Teri (new) - rated it 5 stars

Teri Lupin, Snape & Sirius.

message 479: by Erin (new) - rated it 4 stars

Erin Shadle In my world, Fred never died. Despite the ugly sobbing I do whenever that part of the book comes up, Fred is still alive and well, thank you very much.

message 480: by Manaal (new) - added it

Some were, such as Fred's. I simply can't see why THAT happened.

Amaya Garcia Ella wrote: "I have to ask, what makes Sirius such a strong character? Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE Sirius' character, but what makes him so likable?"
the fact that hes Harry's only surviving family member.
It gave the readers a sense of hope that Harry would have the family he hoped for

message 484: by Ella (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ella Miller Thanks, Amaya! Yeah, I guess it is also because Sirius is sort of Harry's mentor for a while

message 485: by Alessia (new)

Alessia Giolo Fred, Sirius, Snape

message 486: by Julie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Julie Hedwig

Human life is fleeting, and the loss of people can make us who we are, whether that's good or bad. The loss of Hedwig was just hurtful. *sigh*

message 487: by Ella (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ella Miller Julie, totally agree! Hedwig's death didn't make ANY sense. Harry didn't grow stronger as a character. JK Rowling picked some random deaths I think. I mean really? George, Dobby, Colin Creevey, and Hedwig?

message 488: by C (new) - rated it 5 stars

C The deaths all had a purpose behind them. I do not believe J.K. would kill anyone indiscriminately.

message 489: by Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (last edited Jan 04, 2014 09:31AM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall George!!
And Lupin!
Well, you have a point. Tonks AND Lupin was especially cruel. And George...

Do you mean that you felt sorry for George because of Fred's death? Fred was the one who died, not George.

message 491: by Ella (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ella Miller Oh, whoops, I mean't Fred not George.

message 492: by Ella (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ella Miller BellaTrix ¤¤ "always", Some of the deaths had a point but killing like Fred, Hedwig, Dobby, Tonks, and Colin had almost no point. Dobby did sorta affect Harry, though.

message 493: by C (new) - rated it 5 stars

C Not true. They had a reason behind them. Fred's and Colin's were to show the horrors of war and that they could affect anybody, that nobody is safe. Hedwig's was for reasons already stated. Tonks and Lupin's were to make Teddy a war orphan, to bring the story full circle. Dobby's death was to snap Harry out of his Hallows obsession and to remind him of what they were fighting for.

message 494: by Ella (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ella Miller In the Deathly Hallows, it said that Hedwig's death made him feel ashamed. How does that help anything? You DO have a good point for Dobby, Lupin, and Tonks, but showing the horror of war didn't make anything better.

Jacqueline Fred, Sirius, and either Remus or Tonks. Probably Remus. I've never re-read Book 7, because too many people died. :-(

Hands down Sirius, Lupin, and Fred

Vincent Morrone Tonks simply because she was a young mother. And then Fred. It's funny. It breaks my heart to have a character I love die, yet I manage to kill off my own.

Vladyii Lupin and Fred
