Sirius!! i also want everyone else to live, but sirius is the most important and harry really needs him!!
He let himself get damaged to protect Harry. Very sad, but it made sense if he saw Harry as a son of sorts.
Dumbledore,Sirius,LupinI was almost inconsolable when Dumbledore died. I almost didn't finish the series because of that and couldn't stop crying.
I would save Sirius, Lupin, and Hedwig. Each of these character brought Harry hope in a time that he had very little. Lupin and Sirius were like fathers to Harry and a connection to his parents. I found it very unfair that both of these influential men in Harry's life were taken from him. Harry wanted a life with Sirius and was hoping that eventually he and Sirius could be a real family. It breaks my heart that Harry had so many chances of a happy childhood taken away. Though he had happy moments, often times they were overshadowed. Lupin, Sirius, and Hedwig were his light during those times.
Hedwig--she should have been flying free and not in a cage for god's sake! Fred--for the reasons everyone else has said.
Tonks--so Teddy has at least one parent to raise him.
Why have I omitted Snape, my favorite character of the whole bunch? I'm not convinced he's actually dead--no headmaster portrait, no body. I put no stock in JKR's rather lame story that he abandoned his post.
I would of saved Sirius because he could of been his father figure and I don't think Hedwig should of died b/c he was one of his first friend and of course Dumbledore b/c he was the grandfather he should of had.
I agree with many who commented that Harry would've acted differently if not for many of the deaths, and also that they made the story more realistic. The character I would most like to bring back is Snape. He made some of the most difficult sacrifices of any of the characters. He loved and was loyal to Dumbledore and yet he killed him and allowed everyone to think he was a traitor. And after all he sacrificed, he died in misery instead of having a chance at happiness and being who he really was. I guess that shows what a great storyteller Rowlings is, that I was really annoyed with her for killing him. :-)
i wish i could bring back everyone because sad:( however as above the story would be no more, everything happens for a reason even in the fictional world!
I would choose Fred, Sirius and Lupin.I don't think it would really change the story if these peoples would be alive. What more, It would bring more hope to the story. If you're telling me that Their deaths brought Harry Potter's will to seize Voldemort. No. I wish it was that. I wish his death was more rough, smartly planned.. rather than dying on the floor. And I think it's ridiculous to revive Harry's parents. Coz that is what's going to change the story. There is really a way to save Sirius from the start! THE MIRROR! where he should communicate with him from the start. If he didn't die, Harry would probably be happier in his house. Though I'm not sure about the thing about Kreacher. Fred, he died because of a curse. I wish he died for a cause. But NO. It was cruel. He died and left George. And Lupin? damn, Teddy deserves atleast one of his parents. Or it would be another Harry Potter. Only now he gets lots of love from people around him

i totally agree but if Harry's parents didn't die in the first place he would have no reason to kill Voldemort. Then when Bellatrix killed Sirius and Snape killed Dumbledore it was because of Voldemort which made him want to kill him even more so. If he has no reason to kill him or to hunt him down there wouldn't be a story or an adventure.
that being said i would have loved for the story to be an adventure were everyone had still been there but the fact that Harry had such a bad upbringing and that amount off loss it made people want to carry on watching and supporting the Harry Potter series.
From one potterhead to the other, the story is amazing and in my honest opinion i think it wouldn't be as good if the devastating events didn't occur. :) x

I didn't mention wanting to revive Harry's parents. If that's what you misunderstood from my answer :). I know that it would totally change the story. All the people I want alive are Sirius, Fred and Lupin.

I was heartbroken when Dumbledore died. I guess to make a series good you have to kill off loved characters.
Fred, Tonks, and Sirius. This is so hard. For the people that said Harry's parents, just saying. None of any of that would have happened. And yes, many characters might still very well be alive. However, imagine.
Fred, Dobby, Moody, Remus, Tonks<3 and Hedwig and SiriusI love everyone that died except Voldemort and Snape. :)

Why not Snape?
I would save DobbyAnd I totally pretend Fred hasn't died
therefore i want to save Lupin And Tonks along with Dobby......
Snape, Fred, and Lupin.Snape was actually a very good guy.The only reason he hated Harry was because of Lily. I think we all knew he wasn't as bad as he seemed deep down. If Dumbledore trusted him we probably should have as well. Fred was always a good twin and brother and i just hate that he had to die in the end of it all. it was very depressing. I think Lupin was a very good defense in the Final battle. Lupin also had a son who will never know who his parents were. even though the Malfoys took care of Teddy after the war, it would have still been good for the little boy to have one of his parents around. An addition to this list would probably have to be Hedwig. She was a good pet and Harry's best friend (other than Ron and Hermione).
i wouldn't save Sirius because he seemed to always compare Harry to his dad Knowing that Harry wasn't James. But he did have a good mind.
Kate wrote: "Sirius!! i also want everyone else to live, but sirius is the most important and harry really needs him!!"I don't think that Sirius would have been a very important person in the Battle of Hogwarts. Even though he was Harry's godfather, but that is what motivated Harry even more. He wanted revenge on all of the deaths so Sirius was a motivation.

Why not Snape?"
I don't know, I just felt like all that Harry went through Snape was still mean...And even though he was good and loved Lily he HATED Harry. (I know, I make no sense)

It's fine, I felt like that for a long time until my friends convinced me to like him... I thought that too.
Sirius has to be #1 (I would say Lily & James, but then there would be no books), then Dumbledore, then Fred.
Fred, Sirius, Dumbledore, Lupin, Dobby, Hedwig, and VOLDEMORT muahaha (so we can have more books to read <3 )
no hate
Fred! As depressing as all the other deaths were (really, who didn't cry when Sirius and Dumbledore died) their deaths were what propelled the story forward/ helped Harry get to that emotional place he had to be at in order to start hunting down the horcruxes - he was completely alone. But Fred's death was so unnecessary!
