A sarcastic interpretation of war and how ridiculous it can be at times. Easy to read writing, with a hard to digest plot/message.

Now reading The Summer Before the War, which I am enjoying a lot but is not going super fast. Won it in a giveaway, so even better. I love this author and loved Major Pettigrew's Last Stand.

I liked this one too, finally read it last year, and agree with your analysis but thought it was quite well-done.
I want to read LaRose and A Paris Affair as well.

I definitely recommend this story of runaway slaves and their journey to find freedom.

Page-turning freaky goodness, that you can finish in one sitting. A freakish phenomenon overtakes the world where people "see" something and suddenly commit suicide- what do they see? Will our protagonist survive?

Short and poignant take on an author's final words. Everyone should read this one.

Two alternating storylines during two different periods in history. Enjoyable yet predictable, and starring weaker female leads.

Great book! Margaret Atwood is one of my favorite authors.

This is the type of story that sticks with you for life. I think about this book every single time I step into the shower or go to work. Weird, I know.

Bike accident gone horribly wrong, a homeless man that leaves behind incredible pictures, and the Great Gatsby!! Too much? I think so.

Two couples vacation to Siracusa Italy and madness ensues. A character study with people I loved to hate. Really enjoyed this one.

A holocaust story based on stories the author's mother told her .

Two narrators telling a story alternating chapters. Light and perfectly enjoyable for the summer.

Joe's back and this time he's not anything behind. Crazy situations, murder, drugs, and explicit language. I devoured it guiltily and greedily.

My name is LeeAndra. I read as often as I can. I'm currently reading "All The Light We Cannot See" by Anthony Doerr and "I Still Dream About You" by Flannie Flagg. I hate it when I am reading two books at once, but I do it a lot because my book club book usually sneaks in while I'm reading something else.
