It was. I must also get the library to find me the next one.

Today I finished The Diary of a Young Girl - Incredible! I read Night last year, it was interesting to see the differences and similarities between the two personal accounts of that terrible time.Started Palo Alto by James Franco... First story ended a bit abruptly and was a little distasteful in my eyes, but we'll see how the rest go.
Also revisiting my childhood by reading a chapter of The Faraway Tree series with my kids at bedtime, haven't been going for long so we're only a few chapters in to The Enchanted Wood.

That is good to hear :-) I'm the same, I totally respect someone who dislikes a book I love, especially if we get to discuss why. It's just another of the great things about books, they affect every individual in individual ways.
I just read The Case of the Killer Divorce by Barbara Venkataraman Thoroughly enjoyed it! 5★s

I've just started the new book by Posie Graeme-Evans Wild Wood: A Novel and loving it. I'm reading it at the same time as Sandi Wallace Tell Me Why Very different and both great. I see Marcia and Brenda that Posie's book is on 'your to read' lists too!

Runaway is the first book I've read by Peter May but it won't be the last. Luckily, when I checked, my library has quite a few of his. I loved this book, as those of you who got my recommendation already know. Definitely 5★s my review https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Not to put anyone off, because there wasn't any horror as such, but the characterisation and the storytelling made me think of Stephen King, whose storytelling talents I love, so that's high recommendation from me.
Anyway, lots of nostalgia for those of us born in the forties or fifties, and the last page brought a lump to the throat and a tear to the eye.
And I just finished Eleven Hours, loved it. Nice and quick thrilling read. 5 stars!https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished Flesh and Blood by Patricia Cornwell. It was better than I expected.
