Here's the review for one I read early in January - I Was Here by Gayle Forman 4★s

I liked it, wasn't knocked off my feet though. I'm quite hard to please at the moment.

I hope it does the trick for you Dale :)

Lol, I hope they behaved after that Dale.

Speaking of books I couldn't st..."
Dana, I'll definitely let you know what I think of it :-) I am a big fan of whimsy, so I have a good feeling about it :-)
Yes, isn't that review of Doors of Stone a scream? I see it has over 8500 likes - including one from me!
Just finished The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon. A bit of a let down.

Not really, but I am enjoying the book., Veronica.

I have this one in my TBR too, and I'm with you, never met a Liz Byrski book I didn't like.

I've just this minute finished The Country Practice by Meredith Appleyard Loved it! I'll post my review closer to publication date:)

Understood, I thought you would avoid it till you've read & reviewed it yourself. As I do.
I didn't use to, until a few months ago reading someone's review spoiled the book for me!! I've learnt my lesson:)

I only avoid them if I have them here and know I'll be reading them soon...

It's only a problem when the reviewer reveals too much of the actual story. Most don't but you never know when it is going to happen!

I also read a book review (a mystery) where the reviewer said something along the lines of I can't believe Jo Blow was the murderer didn't suspect him at all. Yes they actually gave the name of the murderer in the review!!

I've never forgiven myself but maybe he was just having a lend of me?

'Fraid so Marianne, and you might as well know that it was Jane Doe that was murdered....although she was never formally identified :O

Oh I am so sorry - should I have put a spoiler? (view spoiler)
I finished The Shell Collector. A romance by Hugh Howey??? Interesting.

I have never read any by her. Perhaps I should try.

Lol!!

I'm always careful which reviews I read before I read a book. Some people, not in this group, want to tell the whole plot which drives me nuts.

Yes! Find that so irritating.

That is seriously sad, Sally. And thanks to the comediennes in the group.LOL

I definitely think you should Regina.

Okay, can you recommend the one that I should try? She has quite a number to pick from....

Sylvia Plath is so wonderful isn't she? You made me reminisce about my younger years when I was obsessed with her. Have you read Ariel a wonderful book of poetry, The Moon and the Yew Tree is my favourite. You have made me want to read all of my books relating to her all over again including one I have yet to get to The Journals of Sylvia Plath. Thanks for your review.
