I am a teacher and mother of four. I live on Lake Illawarra and love to read, so much so that it can be a hindrance!
I also enjoy running, swimming and writing.
I have written two YA post-apocalyptic fiction novels in The Cargo Trilogy. Book 1 is called Cargo which I self-published in August 2014 and Ruin, Book 2 was published in March 2016. I thoroughly enjoy every bit of the writing process with one HUGE exception, formatting for the numerous ebook platforms! Grrr!

As a reader of books and a viewer of movies I believe satisfaction comes when all is righted in the world, when the evildoers receive their just deserts. If this is truly the case then Gone Girl is entirely unsatisfying. As the pages-read become thicker than the pages-to-be-read that sinking feeling sets in where you just know the resolution will not be neat and tidy. Instead you will be prese... Description: In a world of orphans one girl holds the secret that could break the age barrier... At nine, Pia cut the ropes her parents swung from. Left alone with her three year old brother, she becomes fiercely protective and self-sufficient to a fault. Eight years on, Pia is summoned to 'volunteer' as one of a ten person crew to seek out The Refuge, a rumoured sanctuary free of Age Sickness. The volunteers embark on a sea voyage and soon realize they are not the only cargo onboard. Early in the journey the vicious murder of one volunteer ignites suspicions among the crew and sparks a series of events that leads Pia to unravel dangerous truths. Unsure of who to trust and fighting her feelings for fellow 'volunteer' Tomas, Pia walks a fine line between truth and lies. One shocking discovery changes everything leaving Pia questioning her past and hiding from her future.

Katie Mineeff and 1 other person liked Isaac Alder's review of The Rathbones:
The Rathbones by Janice Clark
"The Rathbones was a true delight, from start to finish, and earned a well-deserved 4 Stars. The debut novel by Janice Clark captured a fantastic, almost magical quality harkening back to The Odyssey with a classic Gothic twist. Some things were be..." Read more of this review »

Cargo by Katie Mineeff
"I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Lots of split feelings on this book, hence the three-stars. There were a lot of things I liked, but there was always a touch of something that made me a little hesitant. In reality, t..." Read more of this review »
