What Are You Currently Reading? (doesn't have to be an Aussie book)
Regina wrote: "This group is dangerous. It creates awareness of so many books..."Oh yes, it's deadly
You often hear about old people dying just after an event they'd been hanging on to witness (birth, wedding, major sporting event etc).I'm going to stop myself reading the book I crave the most in order to hang on for longer - and then I can get through more books!
I'm still reading The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell. It is not quite as strange as Cloud Atlas but close:)
I've finished Isla's Inheritance by Cassandra Page Loved it! 5★s

So I read
last week. Only gave it three stars. I was getting a bit sick of all the silly frivolity and was so close to giving up on it, but I pushed through and was quite glad I did. The last few chapters of the book and much better than the rest of the story. Now I have started reading
and continuing with my paperback book,
Sarah wrote: "Stargate Atlantis? That's awesome! I've never heard of the books."Yes Sarah, I have them all. Check out the website stargatenovels.com. (I think that's it...).
Am reading Torrent by Lindsay Buroker. It's quite fun, though it's supposed to be urban fantasy, but so far seems more like sci fi. Guess I'll have to keep reading to find out what's going on.
Just finished listening to Murder and Mendelssohn by Kerry Greenwood which was the usual delight :)Up next is Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey
Just started reading: The Eye of the Sheep by Sofie LagunaOnly about 30 pages in and I'm hooked already :)

Oh YES, my favourite book to date.... I hope you love it.

It's really very good:)
It's really very good:)
I've finished The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy I have to confess it didn't hook me as much as The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry which was a 5 star read for me.Still mulling over my star for Queenie's story.
Phrynne wrote: "It's really very good:)"I only read Cloud Atlas because I was intrigued by the trailer for the movie. It turned out to be the best book I read in 2013 (of not many books read that year). But anyway, I was keen to read more David Mitchell. If I hadn't gotten The Bone Clocks for Christmas I probably would have read number9dream this year.
I've read The Passion Of Artemisia by Susan Vreeland. This cover displays the artist's rendition of St Agnes

I was reading On Immunity: An Inoculation, but then I coughed just after taking a mouthful of water, all over my book! :(So, having mopped up as best I could, while it sits under the fan drying, I am reading Precious and the Mystery of the Missing Lion

You enabler - forgot I wanted this series - just used some of my KOBO books Christmas Credit to buy the first book in the series Precious and the Monkeys by Alexander McCall Smith.
Oh - ok AND the second Precious and the Mystery of Meerkat Hill but ONLY because Meerkat's are my most favouritest animal!!!
LOL, happy to help!! Happy to help you spend your Christmas Credit. I can recommend the third book too, having already finished it and returned to my now dry but corrugated book.

I saw there was 3rd one - but to show I have SOME restraint I refrained....for now!
Sally906 wrote: "I've finished The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy I have to confess it didn't hook me as much as The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry which was a 5 star read for..."Interesting, Sally. I've decided to leave that one for a bit after reading
by the same author and not being as impressed.
