I remember reading The Catcher in the Rye, The Plague and The Collector at school - so apparently things haven't changed at all.

Although we all know that a bit of angst can make for a great story, sometimes it seems as if to be considered 'great' a book has to be horrible. No wonder so few kids enjoy English.

Glad he's liking that series. The subject fascinates me but not by Iggulden! I don't think I'll be reading any more of his books. I found the War of the Roses series to be plot driven rather than character and that's a style I never really enjoy.

Kathryn | 3569 comments Although I'm still going on In Falling Snow (and enjoying it), I have started on a Christmassy read - Christmas with Anne and Other Holiday Stories by L.M. Montgomery. It's actually a junior fiction book, but the short stories are very sweet, cozy Christmas stories, which I am flying through and will probably finish later today!

Suzanne, if you go to your review, in the review box in the top right hand corner (very faint) you will see "edit". Click on that and copy and paste your review which went into the comment box into the review box, if you want to.. Then press "save" after you've done that and it'll appear where it should:)

Sadly, I did not like it, Dale. But I think my opinion could have been affected by the horrid coating on the cover.
