As usual my bad luck came by... I wrote quite a long reply and then managed to close the tab and loose everything I wrote :(

Thanks for the picks, I love the variety and specially those older ones :) I will definitely read Baby It's Cold Outside since I need it for my Travel the USA challenge as well (and I've been putting it off since January). I see you gave it 4 stars so it should be a good one :)

I will decide about other books later but will read at least one more from the list :)

Thanks for the picks! I know this is your first time, so I appreciate the effort you made in selecting the books. I will most likely get to one or two of these as they are all on my TBR pile. If you'd like (or have the time) I wouldn't mind picks that are not on my TBR. While I appreciate the push to read what I have, like a lot of the other PIFM fanatics participants, I love hearing about new-to-me books and authors! But it's up to you. I'm good with the picks so far! :D

Alexis (LexaReads) | 375 comments Here you go Kerste We have a lot in common so I think you'll find something you like, but if you don't let me know and I'll try to pick again!

1. Hot Tamales: The obvious choice I found on your TBR isFifty Shades of Grey.
or
I did notice you have enjoyed Kristen Ashley in the past, and Hawk is my favorite guy she had written so I'll also recommend Mystery Man

2. Ghirardelli Chocolate: One of my favorite YA/NA authors right now, and you had her front and centor on your TBR. I highly recommend Slammed by Colleen Hoover. She is great at the intense.
or
Another one you might enjoy is Annie's Song by Catherine Anderson. It's a really deep and emotional read that will leave you feeling completely drained.

3. Tootsie Pop: You had a bunch that fit in here, but both of these have been on your TBR for a long time, and are great starts to some great series. Slave to Sensation and Halfway to the Grave

4. M&Ms: You haven't read this author before, and even though she's not my normal type I eat up her books so I recommend The Peach Keeper by Sarah Addison Allen. Another great series that I have enjoyed is The Virgin River series, so you may want to give it a try by starting with the first Virgin River.

5. Skittles: I don't read MM romance, but I saw you have read some, so here are a couple on your TBR that have high ratings. Enlightened and Keeping Promise Rock.

6. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups: There is little I like more than a HEA, so I could probably recommend 10,000 for this category. But here are the two I chose. Head Over Heels by Jill Shalvis. You enjoyed the first two, and I think this series just gets better. Or you can try Mr. Perfect by Linda Howard, which is actually a hilarious and suspenseful book.

7. Twix: The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper or It Happened One Autumn by Lisa Kleypas. Both you thought the first one was so-so, but maybe the second book will be more to your liking!

8. Laffy Taffy: To Kill A Warlock by H.P. Mallory. Her books are fun to read. She was my first venture into PNR and I'm glad I chose her because they crack me up. Another really funny book is First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones. The main girl's antics really crack me up, but it is mixed with a great bit of action too.

You have some great picks in here! I was so excited when I saw Losing Hope on there, but sadly it doesn't come out until July. I'm not sure what I'll read yet, probably quite a few. I know I will definitely read
Smart and Sexy and Ten Tiny Breaths because I've been eyeing them both a lot recently. I'll try to read more, but we will see. Thanks for the great recommendations!

message 180: by Penney (new)

Penney (pschoener) | 3553 comments Ok Skandia, finally! Sorry I'm late, but between the holiday and my husband's birthday yesterday, I was a little out of it this morning. Anyway, I've tried to choose as many "new to you" books as possible, but almost every book I picked was already on your TBR. Hopefully I have a pretty good range for you to find something you'll like. Here goes...

1. Hot Tamales: You seem to enjoy Alpha Males so I choose two very different books from your TBR with great Alpha Male characters ~ Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh and Mystery Man by Kristen Ashley
Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling, #1) by Nalini SinghMystery Man (Dream Man, #1) by Kristen Ashley

2. Ghirardelli Chocolate:
Once again, two very different books from your TBR. The first, Outlander, is one of my all time favorites and I only ask that when and if you read it, you think Historical novel rather than Romance. This first of an awesome series, focuses on time period before the romance.
The Second book, Sins & Needles, is an emotional roller coaster. Just hang on tight.
Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana GabaldonSins & Needles (The Artists Trilogy, #1) by Karina Halle

3. Tootsie Pop:
The Bronze Horseman is a story of love that comes out of a very black time. I also think you'd enjoy Katherine, the "true" story of Katherine Swynford and John of Gaunt. Published in the '50's, with a 4.18 rating and over 12,000 ratings, I think it qualifies as an "Oldie But Goodie".
The Bronze Horseman (The Bronze Horseman, #1) by Paullina SimonsKatherine by Anya Seton

4. M&Ms:
Although this came from your TBR, I didn't see a lot of Erotica so I'd call The Siren a new genre for you. Great book, just don't expect a typical HEA.
I do see that you enjoy YA and I'm currently reading and enjoying the Tiger's Curse saga. Very good reading imo.
The Siren (The Original Sinners, #1) by Tiffany ReiszTiger's Curse (The Tiger Saga, #1) by Colleen Houck

5. Skittles:
A colorful and very good read from your TBR, The Witness. Add to that an excellent introduction to the LGBT genre, Faith & Fidelity. This was my first M/M read recommended it to me by Dee a few years ago in a PIFM challenge. It's a really sweet love story with the emphasis on love and not sex.
The Witness by Nora RobertsFaith & Fidelity (Faith, Love, & Devotion, #1) by Tere Michaels

6. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups:
Here are two great HEAs, one from your TBR and one "New". Beguiling the Beauty is a great HR with a strong, intelligent heroine. And The Frog Prince was a surprise freebie that turned out to be a truly great, not so predictable read.
Beguiling the Beauty (Fitzhugh Trilogy, #1) by Sherry ThomasThe Frog Prince by Elle Lothlorien

7. Twix:
Like me, you enjoyed Seduction and Snacks so it's time to move on to Futures and Frosting. It literally had me in tears with laughter. It's also time to finish up the Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy with The Perfect Hope. It wraps up the trilogy very nicely.
Futures and Frosting (Chocolate Lovers, #2) by Tara SivecThe Perfect Hope (Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy, #3) by Nora Roberts

8. Laffy Taffy:
From your TBR, The Spellman Files. Not a romance, but very funny. And if you ever want a funny, light read you can never go wrong with Molly Harper. I could recommend any of her books, but give And One Last Thing ... a try.
The Spellman Files (The Spellmans, #1) by Lisa LutzAnd One Last Thing ... by Molly Harper

Happy Reading!

Cacophony | 102 comments Dear Irina,
It looks like we have a lot of books in common, and that you read pretty widely across the romance genre. I tried to pick mostly books from your tbr. I have read all the books I recommended except Dare You To, but I am sure it is going to be awesome! I copied and pasted all the book links because the add function only found two of the books I was looking for. It is very strange. I hope the links work for you, and I hope you find something that you like!

Elke (ejurca) | 1810 comments Hi Leslie, Hope you like your picks, if not let me know! Happy Reading!!

Hot Tamale: Buckhorn Beginnings or Try Me both hot covers and sexy stories!

Ghiardelli Chocolate: On the Island This book for me was intense and I couldn't put it down!

Tootsie Pop: Bloodlines or The Widow's War both have been on your TBR for a while now!

M&M: The Host this one is pretty good! It is a little slow in the very beginning but it gets really good!

Skittles: Zero at the Bone I am just getting into reading some m/m books and this one is pretty good.

Reese's Peanut Butter Cup (my fave!): Intentions of the Earl this is the start to a good series! HEA's are my favorite also! ;)

Twix: Twice Tempted this is #2 in the series and I liked it a lot!

Laffy Taffy: How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf just like all of Molly Harper's (that I've read) other books this one is no exception...its FUNNY! I laugh out loud, and my husband thinks I am crazy! Lol!!

MountainKat | 31598 comments Hi Elizabeth! Here are your picks, I hope you like them. I don't know if you enjoy audiobooks, but I will mark the ones I think are especially good in audio with a *.

Hot Tamales: I have two options here, one from your TBR and one new - even though you seem to like both series. First, One Sweet Ride (Play by Play, #6) by Jaci Burton by Jaci Burton - it is out very early in the month. I hope I get to it soon, but I'm not sure when I can fit it in! Second, Gone Country by Lorelei James - I really enjoyed that one!

Ghirardelli Chocolate: Again several options - I can't help myself! It looks like you have read all of Lara Adrian's Midnight Breeds series, but the most recent Edge of Dawn*. I thought this was a great addition to the series, but more the beginning of the next generations' stories! I've only read a couple of Kristen Ashley's books, but I've enjoyed them all - great stories! You have The Gamble on your TBR and that was my first! Another idea, maybe continuing the Crossfire series with Reflected in You* by Sylvia Day. The end of the book made up for the first part for me! A very short, but very emotional story is Let's Hear it for the Boy by T.A. Webb - and it is free for Kindle on Amazon right now. It was so, so good!!

Tootsie Pop: My first recommendation is Love Irresistibly* by Julie James, another one I really enjoyed. It's not that old, but you added it more than 6 months ago! =) Always a feel good place for me to visit is Virgin River, you added My Kind of Christmas* by Robyn Carr over 6 months ago too!

M&M's: I think Thea Harrison's Elder Races series is a lot of fun and it doesn't appear you have discovered it yet. It begins with Dragon Bound* and it is one of the best. (And really good in audio!) Another thought might be, Eternal Rider* by Larissa Ione. It is the first in her Lords of Deliverance series that sort of takes off where the Demonica series ended.

Skittles: OK, you liked Cut & Run by Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux, but haven't continued with Sticks & Stones - you should! Another idea from your TBR is Hot Head by Damon Suede - another hot cover! For a more emotional option you could give Tere Michaels's Faith & Fidelity. I just read the fourth in that series and I've enjoyed them all!

Reese's Peanut Butter Cup: It looks like you have enjoyed Pamela Clare's I-Team series. I don't think anyone deserves a happy ending more than Marc Hunter's little sister and she gets it in Skin Deep*. I haven't listened to the audio of this one, but I have the others in the series and the narrator is wonderful. Or perhaps you want to join the group buddy read with Down London Road by Samantha Young. I read it this month and loved it, even though at the beginning I wasn't sure I would. From the description, I believe Elliott needs his HEA too so maybe you could read The Seduction of Elliot McBride*. I'm trying to figure when I can fit that one in too!

Twix: I had several #2s for here, but I ended up using them in other categories leaving just one, but I think it is a good one! You recently read Soulless and gave it 4 stars, you should definitely continue on with Changeless*! I am reading Timeless in June and can't wait!

Laffy Taffy: I've enjoyed the humor in Jill Shalvis's Lucky Harbor series and it looks like At Last is next up for you. I know I keep saying this, but I am reading the newest as soon as June starts and I am looking forward to it! I have also enjoyed Justin Halpern's books Sh*t My Dad Says* and I Suck at Girls* - so many laugh out loud moments in both of them!

Happy Reading!!
