ARCHIVE TWO: PLEASE INTRODUCE YOURSELF ~
Welcome to the group, Oscar--we are glad you found us.
We have an extensive section on WW II here - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...
As you get started please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the "add book/author" feature when you comment. It makes things so much easier for people to see your book recommendations, because they can see the cover and the links to the author. And it helps the Goodreads software connect books with groups that talk about them. When citing a book and/or author, please put the book cover, author's photo and author's link after all of the text of your post at the bottom of the post. Placement at the bottom of the post calls the reader's attention to the book and/or author and increases the readability of your post. This is how books you mention should look:

Ahoy! I'm Kyla, I live in Montreal, Canada. I'm a voracious reader of history and a firm believer in the importance of studying history, but I have few history buff friends to discuss books with.
I'm partial to histories of war and religion, but really, I'm open to reading any well researched and well written books on any subject/country/person/era etc.
Hoping I'll find lots of good recommendations, and discussions in this group.
Welcome, Kyla, to the place for all things history related. Let me suggest that you browse our home page and find topics that catch your attention. The link is:https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...

Hi everyone, my name is Martin. I live in Melbourne, Australia but originate from the English countryside. I only read historical non fiction for years but joined a Bookclub to get me back into fiction to get a bit of variety but miss reading history stuff. Not too fussed about historical fiction though our autobiographies as find them too self indulgence. Particular eras of interest for me are Tudor-stewart, early 1800s, world wars and revolutions. All European. ... explains why I did a undergraduate in modern European history.
You found the right place for the history lover, Martin. Since you have a wide selection of favorites, let me start you with our link to one of your favorites, the British Monarchyhttps://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...
