Hello everyone My name is John. I live in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. I'm very interested in the Middle Ages, particularly in the UK, France and Japan. I enjoy reading historical biography, not only relating to the Middle Ages but also of writers and artists of the last 200 years.
Welcome John to The History Book Club. I have not yet visited Australia but it is one of the top destinations that I'd like to travel to! We have a variety of folders which may interest you. Based upon your post - here is one that you may want to look at:
Medieval History
There are many other folders where you can discuss topics that interest you.
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the "add book/author" feature when you comment. (There is a link on the top right of the comment box). It makes things so much easier for people to see your book recommendations, because they can see the cover and the links to the author. And it helps the Goodreads software connect books with groups that talk about them.
When citing a book and/or author, please put the book cover, author's photo and author's link at the very bottom of the post after your text. Because it is on the bottom, it calls the reader's attention to the book/author and increases the readability of your posts.

Hello, I'm Jim. I live in Wisconsin,USA, and I'm a retired ad/pr professional,. My major was history, and my interests are pretty eclectic--although I do have an extensive 1st edition Civil War library. Like most folks here, I tend to juggle several books at once, plus do my own research.

Welcome to our newest members, Arpit, Anthony, Paul, Jim, and Erin. Glad to have you aboard. Jill and Bryan have given you some great resources to get started. You'll find some great recommendations here and discussions that will feed your love of history. Looking forward to chatting with you.
Hi, my name is Savannah and I currently live in Arkansas. I have lived in 8 cities and 5 states and have visited numerous cities in 9 different countries. I have loved history since I was a little girl; instead of fairy tales, my dad used to read history books to me before I went to bed, usually either about The War Between the States or World War II. As I got older, I started to drift to different subjects and time periods. My favorites are Tudor England, Greek mythology and Norse mythology, though I love many other subjects and time periods. I was very excited when I found this group and I look forward to reading books that I might never have known about before and discussing them with people who love history as much as I do.
You have had an interesting life, Savannah and we are glad to welcome you as a new member here at the HBC. It is history lovers' central! You might want to start with our Tudor topic. The Tudors

Hey everyone!!
My name is Annetta. I live in Georgia. Even though I temporarily closed my goodreads account, I was a member of the History Book Club in the past. I enjoyed it so much!!! I loved keeping up to date with all the current readings and the reading challenges. History was not my strength in my elementary years. But through time, I have learned to appreciate it. Thanks History Book Club.
