lol...I can't even remember how it ended (view spoiler) . (view spoiler) I'm much better than I was but I've also had to deal with it in the past few years. (view spoiler)

Depression is hard, I am so sorry. I have been through it myself. I went through the emotions (view spoiler) I am starting

Would you be willing to share a difficult teen experience or challenge that you feel shaped the adult you became?
To a certain degree I wrote about my mother’s breakdown in Saving Francesca. Different women. Different lives, and I was a different age than Francesca, but the one thing my mum and Mia have in common is that they are both so resilient. It’s taught me that breakdowns and depression and anxiety can happen to anyone and it has absolutely nothing to do with weakness. The strongest people I know have struggled with mental illness or whatever the politically correct term is these days. It also taught me that regardless of the darkness of that period, there is hope beyond it.

I finished On the Island last night and it was SO good. Still thinking about it today and I think that I probably dreamed about it last night.

I think I remember reading that somewhere, actually.
Lisa, yeah it's Saving Francesca.

I hope you like The Piper's Son. I liked that one even more."
Wendy I am just now seeing your spoilered comments. (view spoiler)

How far are you in The Piper's Son?
Your 'Wendy Made Me Do It' shelf is hilarious! Everyone should be pimping out Melina Marchetta's books!

Dee, are you talking about Bernadette or her daughter Bee? Because I felt that way about later half Bernadette (view spoiler)

Finished off Mary Daheim's

But I really, really liked

Found

Also read an Agatha Christie that I'd never heard of before,

The next book, book 6

But it's a AWESOME book! One of my favorites in the series so far.

actually Bea her daughter just drove me nuts the second half of the book...I liked her in the beginning, but by the end, she was really grating on my nerves - especially when (view spoiler)

YES, I bought

And thanks for that reminder about

This book is INTENSE. And so... important in the Dex & Perry world. I thought I was going to have to throw my Kindle at the wall at one point and start cussing Karina Halle or start bawling like a baby. Hoping the crisis is averted; so many questions answered and so many yet to be answered - some even to still be asked.
Are we going to talk about the book in the Experiment in Terror thread?

You've got me nervous. I'm not sure I can handle more heartache with these two.

Brace yourself. It's one of those books where it's tough to know which end is up. Just keep reading. It has that "feel" to it, like "Lying Season" did. But it's not that book... I can't say anything more.
What I will say is that YOU, Wendy, have some amazing powers of perception. I am in awe of you right now.

You got me itching to just have you tell me, hahahaha.

The next book, book 6

It doesn't matter anyway because I'll be reviewing it tomorrow night, which is the night before it comes out. Not that I pay much attention to the rules. Often, I'll post my review early on here just to get it out the way, then wait until a month before pub date and post a copy over there, so they get the time limit they're looking for. I just use a disclaimer that the quotes may not match up with the final copy.
Finished

I got it too... Are you starting it right away?

Leea, you don't have to wait for me if you want to start it first. I'll read it as soon as I can. :)

Leea did you want me to wait -- I can wait if you like. :) Due to my power going out on Saturday, I haven't read at all!!!!!!

No power since sat. That's crazy. Why?

Got

I bought Come Alive too but haven't started it yet. Maybe later on this week.
Work has been super busy and I'm stressing out a bit so I haven't had a chance to read at work lately. Hopefully, it'll die down next week.
Regina, I hope your power comes back. Sounds awful to be without for a few days.

Regina, hope you get your power reliably back soon! You'll love Come Alive! (I think.)

I read

I can start Wednesday. Go ahead and start today and I can catch up to you and maybe discuss later this week?

Leea, Wendy, and others reading Come Alive... I CAN'T WAIT, SO I CAN DISCUSS IT!!!

This was just a fun companion novel. You get to revisit TJ & Anna and find out who Bones was and what happened to him. It's short so I didn't find it earth shattering but I guess it's better than ok. Fans will find it as a nice compliment to the first book.
