How many of our Club Books have you read?

If I push hard, I might be able to join you at 150 mark by the end of the year, Sarah."
I think last year one of us was at 94 and the other at 95 :)

Then: 18/125 = 14.4%
Now: 65/213 = 30.5%
Wow, that's a bigger change than I thought!

Since joining the club in March this year I've read 6 so far, so that puts me at 26 before joining.
It's probably never going to happen but my ultimate goal: read at least 70% of the list. I still have a long way to go!

Joined in September of 2013:
Then: 15/145 = 10.34%
Now: 115/213 = 53.99%

Same here.
Edit: I mean for this year's challenge specifically.
Edit edit: I just noticed that The Crown Conspiracy by Michael J. Sullivan is on the list, and I'm currently reading his Theft of Swords, which is an omnibus of the first two Riyria Revelations novels (Crown Conspiracy and Avempartha). So that one will count, too. I wonder how I should count that towards the challenge? I suppose rate Crown Conspiracy separately so it shows up n the list for future counts.

Read 34
DNF 2
To-read 14 (that's the current plan, anyway)
Ordered 2
Ordered: these two are Locus Award Winners. That's one challenge I set myself, i.e. Read all of those. Might take me the rest of my life, though.... ;-)
I see how it goes, I might add your list to my perpetual reading challenges.

However, I am thrilled that I have finished every BOM for this year to date AND I am only 7 away from having read all of the Bookshelf Read picks for this year (well, 8 if you count The Speed of Dark which has been added as a side, side read for Sept)

Our group chooses amazing books but we don't choose wisely all the time. Hoping to hit 90% next year some time.
I think my next goal will be to cherry pick the best UF since two of my favorite series/serials are that genre. Hoping Blackbirds will win next month and kick that off.

Both of these have been purely audio "reads" and sometimes I wonder if that has some effect on how much I like them. Actually in the Rivers of London case I don't wonder, the match of Kobna Holdbrook-Smith and Aaronovitch has made that series greater than the parts, I can't recommend them enough.

Yeah, I totally know you were talking to Hank but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mike Carey's Felix Castor series. Totally my favorite and I've read them all at least five times.

Bam! off to the races. I opened a separate UF thread so we don't get this one too off topic

I'll never read all of them because of the sequels and other books authors that didn't make the C-beams glitter for me. But I still have a number of classics I missed along the way as well as others that look interesting.

Completely agree on that. The narration on Rivers of London really enhances the story.

Progress!"
Congrats :)

Okay, now you're just trying to make me look bad. I thought we were friends.

Gotta start somewhere. The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. A third aphorism here.
Also: we're all really, really old.

We are? If I had known that I wouldn't have tried so hard to kick your ass ;)

You're breaking my heart! /padme
Y'all are something else. 130+ books in 2 years? At my best, I could never defeat that many!
I think I'm on 26 now, so probably by the time I retire in 40-50 years I'll have read 150 of the books on our list. And if not, then I'll know what to do with myself in retirement!

I joined about a year ago and had 29; now I'm up to 60. I have most expanded my si-fi library as I naturally read more fantasy books. Even more delightful though is that I rarely dislike a group read. (Darn you Jonathan Strange).

Now up to a massive 101.

Congrats!

...unless I start winning. Then you will bow before Zod!

You're on ;)

Congrats. That is a nice milestone.

Us mere mortals will just have to watch in awe as Super Sarah Anne and General Trike slug it out.
